I bought a Black-Winged Dragon tin a week ago, and I pulled two of these. Are they good? Discuss.

No, this card is awful. It only negates an attack, and in exchange you either increase your opponent's lifepoints or damage yourself. There are WAY better attack negators than this thing. It was even awful in the show and should have cost Jack the duel since he played like an utter moron that game.

I dont know about the rulings, but it sounds like this card is great.

This is how i think it goes:
YOU GAIN life points
OR
YOU INFLICT damage to your opponent

i dont think your opponent gets anything out of it.

"Your opponent selects AND APPLIES the effect". And the anime had it in that fashion as well (burn the user or heal the opponent).

I read it on lolwikia and it said its second effect inverts from the anime.

hence making it a great card.

Wiki is not very reliable for rulings. I'm 99% positive the user gets burned or the opponent gets healed. I'm off to the Q+A thread.

now they confirmed the rulings, they're terrible.

No reason to run it over Mirror Force or Dimensional Prison. Even Sakuretsu Armor is better.

All of the basic attack-stopping staples outclass it majorly. Book of Moon does the same thing but can also be used for other things, such as stopping Synchros, or re-using your own flip effects. Terrible card.

Yugioh 5D's is an awesome anime. A single children's trading card that in real life has almost no value can be a major plot device that can change the fate of the world through the form of two lovers that were destined to save or destroy the universe through the form of five white and shiny trading cards.
