Wattkey

Recommended Posts

Actually, this card isn't that bad, really. Giraffe and the Synchros can attack directly, as can Pheasant, but most of the others can't, and yet they get effects when they attack. Combo with Solidarity for some decent attacking direct attackers.

Dont write the card off yet, this overcomes most of the weaker Watts' low ATK flaw.

This card is meant for the double attackers of the archetype.

Watts need a swarm card.

WATTCAT/ELEKITTEN
LIGHT/4 Stars
Thunder/effect
Tribute this card to Special Summon 2 700 ATK or Higher Watt monsters from your Deck. They are returned to the owner's hand during the End Phase.

Watt key? The key of G minor.

Also, meh, idk Watts but dont most of them already direct atk?

Only about a few of them can attack directly, such as Wattgiraffe.
The other ones have great effects but cannot attack directly, like Wattwoodpecker.

With the addition of Wattkey, it allows the other Watt monsters to abuse their affects and also making Wattpheasant, more or less, a reason to use.

[strike]But with this, Wattpheasent can attack directly twice, dealing out possibly 2000 damage and removing from play 2 of your opponent's monsters for the time being. This also benefits with cards like Wattwoodpecker, Wattsnapper, Wattchimera and Wattbetta that trigger their effects when attacking directly / deal battle damage.[/strike]

Ignore the above. My reasoning is invalid.

You can also troll your opponent by:

Wattwoodpeeker > Watt Key > Honest x strong monster in the first attack > attack directly with the boosted Woodpeeker for the second.

How I wish for an Asura Priest-like Watt monster =P
