Tentacruel
Discuss the Spanish Language. Edit: In case a mod sees this, the title is not meant to be misleading, it's referring to how native speakers pronounce the letters "y" and "ll" as an English "j". The Amazing Avian
I speak [s]Mexican[/s] Spanish pretty well. It's my home language so if I didn't speak Spanish I would assume I was retarded. Which would be weird because retarded is a pretty long word and if I truly was retarded I wouldn't know I was retarded because I wouldn't know what retarded means. Cin
Never had the option to be able to do it, not in my list of languages I want to learn. (Arabic (well was, I did want to do something with Egyptology) and Japanese being the only ones there). I suck at learning languages anyhow. Dark
Yes, Spain uses vosotros and its tense a lot more often than other Spanish-speaking countries, so I'm screwed if I go to Spain, as I'm used to using ustedes to refer to more than one person I am directly talking to. I have like 10 years of learning Spanish behind me, and I stopped at Spanish 5 (AP Spanish is hell). Also, ll becomes y, I don't know why you said it became j. Llevar is pronounced as "yevar", not "jevar". The j becomes an h, though.
Lt. Colonel Remo
yeah, so "Joe" became "hoe" he was pointing out the Ll and the Y and the J and the H
Dаrkrai
I'm half English and half French. I have four years of Spanish behind me and I'm still not very good at it. However, if I ever were to go to Spain I would know my way around language wise.
