Yata-Garasu Wannabe: Fenrir

Recommended Posts

Fenrir has too low of an ATK to really be any good... and I always thought removing 2 WATER monsters rather than the usual 1 was always weird. It's a funny card, but not really that great. =/

On a side note, I randomly made a Water deck once, and I had locked down my opponent because he kept bringing back Treeborn Frog...

Amazing effect, Great summoning conditions, low ATK. So it obviously requires a bit of a boost to be any kind of effective. It could easily control the game if it has that extra ATK. I wanna call it a good card, but requires a bit of a set up, making it less useful. And even if you can't attack with it, it is a special summon, meaning you could tribute, synchro, or at least lead to some other decent plays for the turn.

fenrir reminds me of a 2 tribute phantom of chaos-like monster that was released a while ago. Can't remember its name though...

Fenrir + Destiny Hero: Departed + Imperial Iron Wall + ??? = Profit

Hmm.. Profit, idd .. Also works well with Ojama Trio, The Shallow Grave, maybe? Add an Axe of Despair / United / Mage Power, maybe?

Now that I think of it, it's quite a strong card..

????

Decent-ish card. Rather outclassed by other Tribute/Synchro Generating field spammers (Fishborg, Treeborn for examples).

Oh, and the set up and deck dedication that it's hand lockdown require is just too hard to ever make a succesful deck.

If you want to use him on his own, Black Garden says sup. Also him + Hardened Armed Dragon into Tyrant Neptune is nice but requires a very specific deck. I used Snake Rain to dump some water Reptiles to fuel Fenrir, speed up the deck and dump two Neptunes. Salvage gets those Neptune back, discard one to SS HAD, remove two reptiles for Fenrir, tribute both, enjoy your profit. Fun but required more deck dedication than I really liked for a hand lockdown.
