Yeah, what's the deal with this being the cover card? Almost all other cover cards were either prominently featured or was somehow one of the more "powerful" cards featured. Junk Berserker by contrast seems like a filler Synchro that they just threw out there. I assume it's somehow going to be important in the duel against Halberd, but still...

I mean, a bunch of Sets had the Signer Dragons as the cover cards, or evolutions of Signer Dragons, or other ace cards (Stardust, Black Rose, Red Dragon/Assault, Power Tool, Ancient Fairy, Blackfeather Dragon, Draco-equites, Shooting Star, etc). What's Junk Berserker done yet? Oh right...NOTHING!

Junk Berserker does not say without flipping the monster face-up. The effect of Junk Berserker is applied after the monster is flipped face-up, but before damage calculation. If the Defense Position monster was face-down and has a Flip Effect, the Flip Effect will activate and resolve normally.

Its not the same as something like Mystic Swordsman LV2 which reads-

"If this card attacks a face-down Defense Position monster, destroy the monster immediately with this card's effect without flipping it face-up or applying damage calculation."

So no, if Junk Berserker were to attack a Ryko, Snowman Eater, Fossil Dyna, Morphing Jar exc. It doesn't prevent them from flipping.

In other words, this card is exactly the first word in it's name... JUNK haha.
