In any case, for the record, I'm satisfied with the Extra Deck limit. I feel it keeps people from randomly throwing any card that could work into the Extra Deck. But some decks (Quickdraw, Tech Genus, Ehero) hate the limit.

We wouldn't have a limit if Synchros weren't mostly generic

Only prime numbers over 5 and under 2 are unusable.

You are right, but those are still close to unusable imo. Level 5 while useable is going to force you to fill up your whole field with level 1 monsters and outside of mass token makers this is going to happen often and they will be next to useless 99% of the time. Level 3 is better but again, it's not going to be easy and based on how synchros panned out odds are this be an underused level. Also, level 9 is useable, but again it's going to be an easy to get out and again based on how synchros were made level 9 won't be all that common. Based on synchros odds are the biggest levels will be 5-8 and with this system 1 of those levels is unusable and the other might as well be. Still I'm basing this all on synchros and things could easily be different. Honestly I'm hopping to be wrong, but atm I don't see this being the case.

Also, Scapegoat might end up becoming amazing with Exceeds should they make a good number of low level ones.

For exceeds seem rather viable. Here are all the combinations you can have for them:

For a two: two one stars
For a three: three one stars
For a four:four one stars, or two two stars
For a five: five one stars
For a six: three two star, or two three stars
No lucky sevens :(
For a eight: four two stars, or two four stars
For a nine: three three stars
For a ten: five two stars, or two five stars
No elevens ether
For a twelve: four three stars, three four stars, two six stars

And out of them all, twelve stars would be the easiest (theoretically) with three options.

It's a decent card, and probably good in Junk decks, but it's a disappointing cover card, if nothing else. For one, the duel it was featured in, it didn't accomplish a thing. I don't know why Berserker is the cover card when there are so many other cards in EXVC that could have that title.

It's not over-hyped/Top Tier.
It gives the Junk Arch-type a "boss" monster.
It's an amazing card if you actually play it right. Ask Byakk.

Oh hey.
Correct info.

They're black with the levels on the left side...like Dark Synchros. The levels are called "ranks."

I hope they have great effects...

EDIT: Marauding Captain might make a comeback with Exceeds for Level 6's.

Stupid... either Fusions, Synchs or Exceed, depending on the Deck type. If they have three different Types crammed in the Extra Deck, they should at least raise the limit to at least twenty next format.
Although, I think they might be better off there than the actual Deck, or they might end up as unplayed as Rituals.

Demise and Perfect
[/quote]

Yeah, but you gotta build your deck around that and it simply becomes a "Demise" Deck or a "Perfect Herald" Deck. They aren't readily available at all times like Synchros, nor require as many cards to pull out.

I dunno why they decided to stick with the Extra Deck. I thought that strong abilities and the overlay mechanics would warrant being a little harder to summon by having the Exceed in the Hand instead of the Extra Deck. Also the color is black and has level stars similar to Dark Synchros.

They're too similar to Synchros now, which while I see a bunch of you are all excited about them being in the Extra Deck, i'm actually a little disappointed. Sure, they'll be easier to Summon then, but again, too similar to Synchros.

"1 Tuner + 1 or more Non-Tuner monsters" simply becomes "2 or more monsters with equal levels that total this card's 'Rank'". Not only that but you get the bonuses of the Overlays for protection or to use for their (quite probable) useful/powerful effects.

You have a point, in terms of splashability Rituals suck.

The Exceed Monsters rank seems unrelated to the Exceed Material Monsters.

EDIT: The Exceed Monsters rank seems to be the level of the Exceed Material Monsters needed.

In my opinion, that's just stupid and makes it somewhat more confusing. 2 Level 4 Monsters for a Rank 4? Which makes getting out Level 6+ pretty hard if you ask me.

Oh and...

Rank....rank? RANK!?!?! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS NONSENSE!!1!

But yeah, they sound like Dark Synchros. How do these Ranks work with cards that involve Level Manipulation and whatnot?

Wait so to Summon a Level 4 Exceed I need to use 2 Level 4s?

Apparently. This means you'll need 2 Level 8's for a Level 8, 2 Level 6's for a Level 6, and so on. But hey, I guess that stops Level / Rank / Whatever 7 and 11 Excess Monsters being not made, right? I still think it's stupid though.

I think everyone is forgetting a big detail: the card has the materials written, meaning it might not always be "2 Level [rank] monsters" to summon an Exceed monster. In fact, I'm betting that that isn't even a generic Exceed monster.

We just won't know what the "generic" material will be (if generic Material exist) nor do we know how these "ranks" will be affected. We just don't have all the info to determine if Exceed monsters are good or not.
I would lol if the "Rank" circles looked like negative levels. Then they would look almost exactly Dark Synchros.
