Dr. Cakey
This is an intelligent decision. I'm not sure the rulebook even covers Priority...and it doesn't really make sense. How does summoning a monster magically give the turn player a grace period?

-Lightray Daedalus-
Lyla could ask priority for her effect? That's so cheap! Also Arms Aid?...How?
evilfusion
Lyla can use priority, but since switching to defense is PART of the effect, Bottomless and the like still kills it and since it was removed from the field, it can't switch to Defense. All Union monsters or Union effects could use priority to Equip, dodging most forms of monster destruction.

evilfusion
Wait, retract that. Unions and Armory Arm using priority doesn't help them because something can be chained to them before they equip.

evilfusion
So...why is it changing in the OCG but not here?
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
So...why is it changing in the OCG but not here?
Probably because the TCG is trying to decide if it's good for the game or not. Just like how the OCG has different rulings for certain cards, we can have different rules in general. Dragonzord
So does this mean the World Championship/Tag Force games are going to have this rule change? That won't be confusing as s*** or anything.
evilfusion
How WILL that affect future WC/Tag Force games? The sarcastic joke I made about priority being added to the TCG releases of the video games...um...that doesn't sound so unlikely now (more likely they'll have the modified rules). Wizarus
I think I like this change, as it adds much needed differentiation to Trigger and Ignition effects. Ignition effects shouldn't have had priority to begin with.

evilfusion
Maybe that's why some cards dodged a ban this list: OCG is changing priority ruling and making those cards significantly weaker. Oh yeah, Mind Master loses some power.
