Round 1: Dragunities v.s. Malefics Game 1: I sorta know the guy, he wanted to play Dragunities as well, but I really wasn't sure on what he was playing. We joked around before the match that it was a mirror match, since we were both using the same mat, had white card sleeves, and had the double deck box. I win the die roll and go first. I open Canyon (huzzah) and first turn Stardust, with Book and Prison to back it up. On his turn, he drops Malefic World. Was not expecting. He follows up with Malefic Rainbow Dragon, which gets Book'd shortly after he attacks. He then sets 2 cards and passes. I draw into Reaper, drop the Reaper, hoping to get a plus, but he has the Skill Drain, as well as the Book for my Stardust. He tries to run over the Stardust, but I Prison the MRD, so he passes. I attack with Stardust next turn, dropping him down to 4500, and I set a card. I forget whether he dropped a Malefic or not, and whether or not my set card could stop it. Regardless, I make Vortex with Phalanx + Reaper, and attack for game. I side in Electric Virussssss Game 2: He opens Malefic Blue-Eyes, World, and two sets. My hand is Trunade, Ravine, Reborn, Phalanx, and like two other cards, one which I blew up with Trident Dragion along with Canyon for gg. Round 2: Dragunities v.s. Naturia I win the die roll again Game 1: The beginning is a bit foggy, but I summon Dux, he has Fiendish Chain, and I have Seven Tools. I proceed to go into Stardust and attack into Naturia Dragionfly I have Solemn Warning and Necro Gardna to back me up, as well as Icarus just because. He tries to do some nutty play with Naturia Pumpkin + Cosmobeet into Barkion, but I negate the suicide attack into Stardust with Gardna and he passes. I clear the field, start ripping hits, he has Gorz while I had Icarus + Warning, and for some reason I played neither when I had game but whatever. I still win the game anyway. Game 2: He opens a set monster and 4 backrows. Oh god. I set Reaper and a few backrows. He has Fiendish Chain again but it doesn't really matter or something because I had Reborn for the Stardust. I pick off at his backrows, and then I Trident Dragion him for game. He's depressed because he says he could've ran Chain Burn and won. Round 3: Dragunities v.s. Lightsworn I lose the die roll D: Game 1: He opens Trooper Wulf. I set Reaper and like Seven Tools or something. He plays Ehren for my Reaper and beats me down for 4000. I actually get rid of his field with Icarus + Prison, but he drops JD for game when I'm at 3000. Game 2: He opens Lumina Wulf or something. I Legionnaire his Wulf with Phalanx, but he has Honest to backup his Lumina. I set 2 Warning + MST and pass. He NoE's one of my Warnings, and he loses his. He then Trunades and puts Wulf on the field again. I think I rip Dark Hole, and have Warning for his Trago, and Stardust beatdown for game. Game 3: I don't really remember this game, but I win with Trident Dragion and I have the Warning for his Gorz. Round 4: Dragunities v.s. Fish OTK I win the die roll like a boss. Game 1: He has the double Sarco for Trunade + Gorz, so I know he has Coelacanth in hand. I Warning his Swap Frog, and I think I had Warning for his Gorz, but he wins with Snowman Eater + Fishborg for Coelacanth. Game 2: I NoC his Fishborg first turn, and bring out Thought Ruler. Like next turn I bring out Scrap Dragon, he drops Gorz. I Dark Hole + Reborn Thought Ruler. He can't really do anything except stall with Treeborn but I eventually bring out another synchro for game. Game 3: He scoops for pizza. lol We play a fun game 3 afterwards and I win with Aklys beatdown. Round 5: Dragunities v.s. Gladiator Beasts I lose the die roll again. Game 1: He opens set Hoppo + 3 backrow. He has Torrential for my first Dux, but after that he can't draw a GB and gives me the game when I drop Vajrayana. Game 2: I think he summoned Laquari + set 2 backrows. I drop Stardust and get by the Mirror Force, and he has no outs to Stardust because it's GBs. Whee I'm the only undefeated. Top 4 Dragunities v.s. Gladiator Beasts I lose the die roll again Game 1: He opens Laquari and 2 backrows. I summon Phalanx, and try to run over Laquari with Book, but he has the Solemn for the Book and he Retiaris my Phalanx. I set Solemn and Warning. I Solemn his Trunade and I have Warning for his Gyzarus. My hand is Phalanx and Foolish, he's at 4000, and I top Canyon. i foolish Leyva, discard Phalanx for Legionnaire, get out Leyva from Legionnaire, make Trident Dragion for 6000 and gg. Game 2: He Solemns early in the game again on Legionnaire, and afterwards I go to Stardust beatdown and win because he has like no backrows to protect him. We don't play top 2 for some reason, but it was GKs so I'm kinda glad I didn't play it out. We get STBL for prizes and I pull 3 random supers and 2 Formulas, so it's not all that bad. Are they alternate art, or is that something else? I've never seen them like that. Then again, I don't live where you live and also don't buy many packs. I'm guessing it's legal to modify a card however you want as long as it's still readable and would in no way affect your ability of drawing into it? byak Posted March 16, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 16, 2011 @Manjy The problem with replacing my field spell over theirs is that they're more likely to play theirs over mine, since I rely on Canyon more than they rely on Necrovalley, and they can also access Necrovalley easier/quicker.
