Examples: • Stratos can just say "HERO" as opposed to "Elemental Hero, Destiny Hero, Evil Hero, Masked Hero, or Vision Hero" and still exclude "Hero Kid" (Hero Kid isn't a real HERO). [/quote] The term "mill" usually refers to sending the top card, and I think making "mill" mean any form of sending from Deck to Grave would be confusing. We'd get a distinction like this: Foolish Burial: Mill 1 monster card. Needle Worm: Mill the [b]top[/b] 5 cards of the opponent's Deck. And I don't think that'll help. Send still creates a distinction between "discard" and I really dont think "dump" will become official terminology. I think we're just assuming that most, if not all, changes to the text will be differences in terminology. So far, the changes have been 2 instances of terminology (Banish, Piercing), 2 slight changes in wording (target of attack, leaves the field), and a clearer distinction of archetype (HERO) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

[/quote] I think "banish" is a little weird, but the reasoning for the change is sound. And it's only a difference in terminology on the card. You can still call it whatever you want, I'm sure. If I ever make a card game with a distinction between costs and effects, I'd write "and" and "to" in caps. Discard any number of cards in your hand TO destroy the same amout of cards on the field. Discard any number of cards in your hand AND destroy the same amount of cards on the field. I think preventing screaming arguments and table flips between those with a lesser understanding of the rules is more important than making the vets feel like I think they're idiots. Some of these changes make the card's text smaller and easier to read, helping with clarity. I never liked the way they phrased the piercing effect anyway, I always thought that the extremely wordy cards were a flaw in the game. Definite improvement. "Banish" is clearer, too. It's just another game zone, the cards are not removed from any game and the grave and deck aren't "in play", either. It's really just graveyard no.2, but calling it something completely different helps with clarity. "Target for an attack" is a silly change, but eh. I think that "target" is going to be on a lot of future cards, but again, eh. Nothing wrong with the word. It's still as clear as "select". So far, there are no negative changes at all!
