Looking pretty good.

So the conditions will have a colon after it, a semi-colon will follow activation requirements such as costs and targeting, as well as signal the chain opportunity, and after that is resolution. The absence of such markings on a monster indicates it's Continuous or otherwise does not start a chain.

This will definitely make cards a lot more clear-cut.

I guess you're also very ignorant.

Remember that your actual cards will still be printed in black! The colors are just training wheels to help us explain.

K, maybe I shouldn't have skimmed it. <_<

That's very good.

Now, Konami, reprint every decent card in the entire game, especially ones with confusing text (Morphtronic Accelerator).

Will will most likely having those Begginer's Edition OCG is realeasing in TCG as well I suppouse
also....thought in some places like in raigeki break the text do looks weird...

it make a lot other cards much easier to understand so yeah...change is good.

Interestingly, Morphtronic Accelerator wouldn't be changed (much). All the effects occur at resolution, so the only thing that needs to be clearer is that the destruction and draw occur at the same time.

-konami ends all shonen jumps - shonen responds by printing dark end dragon, previously an event prize card - konami responds with the legality list and limits shonen's ability to print playable cards unless they have konami's blessing - bear in mind Shueisha own's yugioh - not konami
Your prolonged contact with the chaos energies released by the Chaos Emperor Dragon sealed beneath Konami HQ may go a long way to explaining this tendency toward...unique...theories.

Shueisha owns the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise - it does NOT own the card game. There's a dozen strings tying together Shueshia, Konami, Nihon Ad Systems, TV Tokyo, 4Kids, [s]Upper Deck[/s], JUMP, Kazuki Takahashi, Viz, and hell, probably McDonalds, too, for good measure. Bandai might even have a residual right or two to parts of the franchise. The point is, each of these companies has a certain degree of autonomy, and Konami can do all that stuff.

Does anyone else kind of want cards to have green, red, and blue text?

Well, they said they want the cards to explain exactly what they do without sounding like a textbook.

These changes do accomplish that. Instead, now the rulebook will be filled with slight technicalities in wording for EVERY SINGLE WORD. Gee, thanks Konami.
I'm so glad that I quit this game before all this stuff happened.

I'm intrigued on how Appropaite's new text will look like.

Also...the thing with Black Garden beng destroyed on resolution is a good thing that they made that more clear now..I was tired of explaining that to noobs...XD

yes i agree but now it gonna be a pain for us who been developing cards in ccgs then we have to change ALL of them into the new texts xD

God...That little rulebook they made for the game just turned into a freaking TEXTBOOK! I swear, now you can actually make yugioh into an elective class at school!

"Students! Today we will be learning about OCG in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but before we get to that, have you all finished your reports on why Cyber Jar, Pot of Greed, and Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End were banned? Remember that this assignment is worth 25% of your grade! And don't forget that next week we will be having a field trip to lol...I mean, Konami."

I'm quite pleased so far. I actually learned a few things I had not known, just from their examples.

1) Zombie Master has to remain on the field during resolution. Previous card texts did not show this.

2) Fusion Gate can be used by either player. This sort of specific distinction is good because some fields give effects only to the controller.

3) Bountiful Artemis draws a card immediately after resolution. I kind of knew that, but now any confusion is gone and now I dont have to wonder about Counter Traps that negate previous Counter Traps.

OT: And people thought the changes would be stupid.

Here's what they're doing: They're not changing the rules, they're just making something simple and consistent that can help make the important distinctions. The card texts originally were a huge mess and the ruling pages we had to look up just to make sense of the card was a huge textbook.
