So long as you're willing to put the effort into it, and as long as they aren't long distance FOREVER. Personally, I'm madly in love with someone who lives very far away. But we talk constantly, either on msn, through texting, or on the phone. I would rather we lived closer, but I don't mind. I get to talk to him often, though I wish it was more. I think it makes for an interesting relationship, with a lot of openness and communication, because most of our time is spent TALKING, not just making out and being superficial. Not because I was nervous (I wouldn't be), I just didn't feel like buying two $25 tickets and $50 flowers like one of friends did :P.
