[/quote] You're missimg MY point, its effect isn't once per turn, therefore it can be used multiple times within the same Battle Phase, allowing its DEF to climb higher and higher... and for you to mill more and more cards... it becomes a really good defencive card, but it has to be able to survive the first attack, which it probably won't...
