It's supposed to be one of those song-based video games where you tap buttons in time to the song that's playing. From what I've read, it will feature tons of characters, locations, and songs across Final Fantasies I through XIII. So far 50 songs are set. Songs confirmed so far are "Battle on the Big Bridge", "One Winged Angel", "To Zanarkand", and "Sunleth Waterscape", "The Prelude", and "Final Fantasy Main Theme (as in, of the whole series)".

I assume there'll be a story. Logo is a play on Dissidia Final Fantasy, who also featured a crossover of Final Fantasies, but was a fighting game. Characters that normally would be generic (i.e. Warrior of Light, Onion Knight) are now based on their Dissidia counterparts, but that's as related to Dissidia as it'll get, (I think. Tetsuya Nomura said something like that). More info here: http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/2011/07/13/theatrhythm_ff_gameplay/

As long as it doesn't affect Dissidia in any way (Tetsuya Nomura said, and I quote: "Theatrhythm is not Dissidia's future.") I approve of this game. It looks... cute! ^_^

EDIT: Just heard the Prelude. Actually quite impressed with this arrangement.

Now that IS hard to pronounce. And eww. wtf is this, when did FF become a series for freaking 4-Year olds?

It's not that hard.

I expect this to be a one shot game, so other FF games should have the usual FF ambiance.

Although, this game is cute. :3
