There are other situations that might warrant you using this instead of Shooting Star Dragon: • What if you don't have access to a Level 1 Tuner, a Level 4 Tuner, a Level 1 non-Tuner, and a Level 4 non-Tuner? • What if you can go into Wonder Magician and would like to destroy an opponent's card? • What if, instead of Stardust Dragon, you already have a different Level 8 Synchro out that you don't need anymore?
