If only because, from Konami's perspective, it's realistically the only way to Summon Shooting Star Dragon, which would make Shooting Star Dragon useless. Therein, people are less likely to buy tins, etc., especially kids who are fans of the anime. I know the logic may seem flawed, I'm just saying I don't see them doing anything with Formula Synchron.
