So it seems that I'm not the only person who shares the same opinion on Chain Dog

Subject: Chain Dog
With Rescue Rabbit running around, and having access to 6 Summoner Monks (counting 3 Tour Guide and 1 Sangan), do you think this card has become better? If a rank 4 Beast Xyz monster was released, would its presence in the meta game increase? I want other people's opinions, what decks could Chain Dog, how you can get the most out of him in one go (multiple Xyz), how you plan on setting him up.

I don't see why it has to be a beast Xyz unless it needs to be used in solid beasts.

It would be significant in that, for this example:
2 Beasts. 1 Chain Dog in grave.
bring back Chain Dog, Xyz into... oh lets say Utopia.

Utopia is a warrior, you have 1 beast. Chain Dog can't come back. If you had another beast monster, you could bring back Chain Dog again.

Oh, and I am supposing that said beast xyz should be able to detatch during the main phase.

Go into Disigma or Shock Ruler.

So I am thinking of this way, that if we were to compare this to Cloudian OTK:
Storm Dragon = Crystal Promise
Fog Control = Sapphire Pegasus
Turbulence = Crystal Beacon/Crystal Beast Ruby Carbuncle
Fishborg = Chain Dog
Skreech = Summoner Monk
Salvage = undefined, though as a recycler, you could say Crystal Blessing
Formula = Don't have yet unfortunately, but in the case of Chain Dog OTK, it would be a rank 4 beast monster that could detatch its without condition.

and so, if you view Turbulence + Fishborg as a basic synchro (into Arcanite, lets say, as you would make Librarian + Formula if the only thing you could work with was Turbulence), then Beacon is a transition into a RNK4 of 3, such as Color Ruler, or Vylon Disigma (actually, Illumiknight could be a smart idea, since you want to draw Crystal Promise to continue Xyz summoning).

Assuming you have the set-up complete, and you bring out 2 Beasts in Crystal Beasts, here would be the general idea of what you should do:
2 Beast
1 Chain Dog
Xyz into a RNK4
1 Xyz
1 Beast
play a card that gets another beast out (Beacon or Promise)
1 Xyz
2 Beast
1 Chain Dog
Xyz into Rank 4 (req: 3 if you don't have another promise/beacon, req:2 if you do)
2 Xyz
1 Beast
Play until you run out of spaces, or special summon cards. in the end, you will be guaranteed 1 RNK4 that requires 3, along with RNK4s that require 2 materials equal to the number of special summon cards you have (depending on what your order of drawing cards was, and if you had Beacon, this limit could range from 2 to 4)
