[/quote] It's. Effect. SUCKS. LEt's say I have 3 Level 5s: Gusto Reeze, Quickdraw Synchron, Salvage Warrior. Chances are, I wanna sync w/Quickdraw, and get Volca/Tiras with Reeze and Salvage. [/quote] Because ATK isnt everything. Effect and effort are more important, especially since Synchros and Xyz tend to be - in terms of card advantage. This requires 3 Level 5s. Now let's look at other Rank 5s. Tiras, a 2600 that kills a card after it battles and can't be destroyed by card effects while it has Materials. That only requires 2 Level 5s. Volcasaurus also requires 2 Level 5s, has 2500 ATK, and can kill an opposing monster and burn for that monster's ATK. First of all, how often wil you bring out 3 Level 5s, and how many times will you prefer a 3200 with a meh effect over a 2500 nuking burn monster or a 2600 that can wreck your opponent's field. [/quote] TG Hyper Librarian and Formula Synchron replenish some of that advantage. Cards like Junk Synchron. Spore, Glow-Up, Tengu, etc all help minimize the advantage lost from bringing out Quasar.
