I'm probably going to sacrifice my grade, but oh well. Please discuss times you have procrastinated doing important educational activities or preparation and instead wasted time doing pointless things like posting on YCM for instance. I can imagine the majority of you have experienced this in some form or another. I have a math test, a C++ test and a wellness midterm tomorrow, and I'm probably not as prepared as I should be. This is a story. I'm currently sitting here looking at the clock passing time for no reason at all. You provided no background, no plot or storyline as to what you are discussing. Why should we care enough to post when obviously you don't care enough to create a decent topic that will divulge into a discussion, instead you post a tidbit of information and expect everyone to just jump right in? I've been literally failing classes, and still put off work until after it was due. Pretty much my entire High School life was one big procrastination party, although I still magically graduated... Also am amused at the fact that there have already been a good number of responses to this topic after a certain person said there would be none.... ICT = A and B Science Double award = A and B Maths = B Statistics = B RE = C German = C Geography = C Drama = C So yeah, It shows it's not the studying that counts, it's if you test well. Cin Posted November 11, 2011 Report Share Posted November 11, 2011 I didn't too bad in my GCSEs with minimal revision, for my A Levels I had my friend to help me with Biology, but got a lot of Us, I think it was more to do with the level of the work rather than the exam. Cin Posted November 11, 2011 Report Share Posted November 11, 2011 I did Physics, Maths and Chemistry, I got a B at Intermediate. That's where the big gap was, it wasn't on the higher paper, so I had alot more to do to catch up really. I just couldn't get the concept of Moments in Physics for some reason, so I was always gonna struggle since Physics and Chemistry are Maths intense where Biology isn't. (Probably why I got a D in it at A Level rather than Us that I got in Chemistry, Physics and Maths at AS). It's all about how Mathematically minded you are really as to how well you do. I'm not, so prefer softer subjects like Geography and Philosophy (well they're considered softer) which is where I got a C and a B. Just make sure you understand everything if not the teachers should be more than willing to help you and revise hard. A Levels are not really the time to lose focus especially on the harder subjects. And to be honest now I'd rather I'd gone into a NVQ in Learning Support rather than into A Levels. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
