Select and remove from play 1 card in your Deck. During your second Standby Phase after this card's activation, add the removed card to your hand.

Considering just about everyone will have Leviair out on turn 1, Saroph's effect might as well read: "Special Summon 1 level 4 or lower monster from your deck."
And don't even get me started with Dark Desertapir, as that card is just nuts.

I used to run it in my Rabbit deck and I always found it to be an amazing card in the opening move, if Tour Guide was successful, to do a Rabbit play, but to otherwise search out a crucial Deck card like Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, or BLS.

Problem was that mid game, the card's usefulness was vastly diminished and could even be dead, meaning it was of no immediate help when I needed something else. Because of this tendency, I took out one of them for a Bottomless Trap Hole, and later took out the second for another, more useful card.

It's a great, great card, but it doesn't suit me for most decks.

Different Dimension Capsule is better IMO. It's the same effect except you banish it face down. So your opponent can't see it. Ya know element of surprise type'a thing. But the only down side is that if DDC is destroyed while you're waiting then I think you don't get your card.

The second sentence is exactly why people don't use it.

You also can't use it at all since the face down card isn't seen as a spell, trap or monster.

I always facepalmed when a friend of mine in RL argued that DD Capsule is better because your opponent can't see it. Even if your opponent can predict your plays when you do receive the card, Sarc will guarantee the chosen card unless it's removed from the RFG zone before the time comes (Leviair in the case of a Level 4 or lower monster), and Capsule will (almost) permanently remove access to the card if it's destroyed, because its Card Type can't be confirmed while facedown.

Consistency > Surprises.
