Because I was going to ask you nicely until you decided to be all egotistical towards me! But I guess not, so I will ask:
WHY ARE YOU AND MOST OF THE OTHERS JERKS?!?
Why does it seem like the only person on this section of this forum who has a kind bone in their bodies is evilfusion?!?
WHY DO YOU FRUSTRATE ME SO MUCH?!?!?
I consider it a very interesting phenomenon. You may have heard of it. It's called "unentitled superiority complex"

It happens when a person, after shedding his or her original inexperience, gets it in their mind that they are simply smarter than another person or persons. Over the internet, being anonymous is implied, and thus they have little reprocussion for acting a certain way. Unlike in real life and face-to-face interaction, after you have thoroughly ruined any chance of friendship with someone, you don't have to worry about them punching you in the face or constantly interacting with you on a daily basis, like in school hallways or the local bar.

Therefore, the person can, with little consequence, tear into someone for no reason aside from trying to demonstrate or insist that they are somehow superior. This is especially prominent when it comes to knowledge and opinion.

I will note that because DN is download-less, that nearly everyone has access to it unless they specifically do not want to.

As for me, I have few social outlets and I find little amusement or joy from putting people down, and am capable of acknowledging that I am not perfect and can make mistakes. Therefore, I use my intelligence and knowledge not to make myself look better (that's an indirect effect, though), but to help other people. This type of social transaction gives me that sense of ego that the Unentitled Superiority Complex (USC) people must get through bullying, and shows me as a normally nice, helpful individual.

And you seem to be encountering the USC person's favorite weapon: Trolling because it gets a reaction. Your frustration and reactions feed the compulsive need to feel superior.

As a side note, you can tell when I feel someone else is being an a**hole, because I make posts like this.

Really? How sad.

That's in no way a defense for your behavior in this topic. Stop. Seriously.
I'm not claiming it as a defence, whatsoever. However, I am somewhat insulted that you call a predisposition I can't change about my personality sad.

eh. to be honest, Tristan was pretty right here anyway. Despite being a lovable little arse <3

If you dead draw in a deck like Inzektors, it is probably wrong. Inzektors are mathematically linear, and there's probably a few perfect builds out there which have very little dead draws at all.

Also:
Who said anything about dueling?

The context was MY DECK ON DUELING NETWORK!!!
I was asking to see if you could help me
Cannot think of any other way of 'helping' apart from dueling. So...

Tristan wins. Unless you actually meant deck fixes in which any rightful person would have posted it on YCM rather than trying to persuade someone to use their time to go to DN in order to see the deck. Which is actually not possible without uploading the deck somewhere anyway.

OT: Psychology? Player-player interaction, mind games, smokescreens, pokeface.jpg, blahblah. Pretty much it in YGO.

Anyways, back on track, how does online play not help with bluffing, as you and your opponent can't see each other's faces, so, logically, it should?
The point is that you want your opponent to see your face so you can bluff if needed. And it's needed a lot of the time.

And you can read your opponent's expressions. Encourages player-player interaction.

If you're online, bluffing is near non-existent. Think of a way to bluff online then you can continue with logic.

When I say 'sad', I mean 'unfortunate', not 'pitiful'.

It's a two-way road.

If I Set a card in real life, my body language or other reaction might clue you in that I am either nervous (bluffing) or confident/excited (not bluffing). However, I could reverse those reactions too, and seem confident as I set my bluff and nervous when I throw down my Mirror Force.

On-line, you can't see anything. You have no way to know how your opponent is acting or reacting to anything. You can't see a tell and they can't mislead you with a tell.

It's easier to attack without fear against an opponent you can't see, because there's no way to read them one way or the other. And most people bluff to dissuade a certain action, so online, bluffs don't really work.

That actually explains a lot.

But what Charlotte said about telling your opponent the cards you have to bluff later (which totally ninja'd me :() actually works better online because it isn't obvious that you're lying.
It's not obvious in real life either. Of course you can bluff in both. It's just that real life has more bluffing advantages.

Real-life advantages over online: There is actual player-player interaction via body language, there are more stimuli for these sort of things. You can bluff via verbal lying and double bluff etc.

Online advantages over real life: ???

I'm just not getting it.
Why is having those stimuli better than not having them?

I am of the opinion that bluffing is obviously better in real life for the reasons already stated in other posts.
I'd elaborate, but I have already been ninja'd. Mainly by Evilfusion.

I remember when I started playing, one of my opponents at the store would always pretend to be getting ready to activate his trap when I was about to declare an attack. The bluff worked the first time, but it irritated me, so I decided to ignore his body language in the second game. Pretty good win ;)
That was also something that you can't do over DN.

Yes, bluffing really works, countless times I've pretended to have nothing and sigh, then activate my Mirror Force or drop my Gorz. It's a part of the game to some degree. Weather it's intentional or not.
