[/quote] Oh, me for adm- *shot* Seriously, the most likely to be Admin is the most active moderator, so forget democracy on YCM. I'd rather have a good, unpopular admin, than a popular, crappy one. And the only reasons I can possibly think of as to why this shouldn't be locked is that the 1 person that can go "No, you can't have a 3rd Admin" or "Yeah, Sushi's gonna be the 3rd Admin" isn't here/hasn't responded. And it's obvious that people are just getting to this thread (i.e. Sushi), so locking this thread isn't that necessary, so long as people stop spamming. [/quote] Does it really matter? The most appropriate admin now would be the most experienced, longest active moderator we have now. That's no question. Let's say it happens to be Icy. -If we're all smart about this, we'll all choose Icy anyway. -If we base this on popularity, someone less able than Icy might become Admin. In effect, a vote could have no effect on the decision whatsoever, or a negative impact (relative to the best option). A democratic election would also prove much less efficient than a smaller team of well-experienced moderators and (maybe) YCM deciding who would do the job best.
