I never said that the Otherworld didn't mercilessly tear down graveyards and stuff. I jest, I jest. But, in all seriousness, the people of the current Earth remember their past, true enough, but that doesn't meant they remember the cities that the Otherworld totally razed to the ground. In fact, only the Otherworld beings who have been there since the beginning, and perhaps a few people descended from the inhabitants of that area, would remember the location of, say, New York.
