Some crazy people did this in MW2 and Black Ops to protect their KDRs and WLRs, since doing this prevented the match you were playing from counting against your record. If you did this in MW3, the server would restore you the same state you were at during your previous login, which means it erases all progress you made since you've been online. I had to go to bed once, so I dashboarded during when the match's results were displayed, and when I logged on the next day, I found that my level had been deducted from 32 to 19.
