MRD had its anime effect where if it would be destroyed, it negates it and deals 4000 damage. and Fire Ant Ascator had an incredible effect on DMG. It was hella fun but yeah, not their real effects. They're still very hard to summon, and added to the fact that Majestic Dragon sucks major balls, yeah, you won't see those 2 played much, especially nowadays.
