Sunshine Jesse Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 I still want to staunchly defend this card but seeing all the loops this card caused finally convinced me that this is one of those "Stupid s*** will happen in the future" cards that'll utterly ruin a format (see: Substitoad and Mind Control to a lesser extent). That being said, all the combos that Brionac loops with still have at least one problem card in them regardless of the loop and without them Brionac wouldn't be an issue. But banning it would be best as a preventative measure. There was never anything wrong with Brionac when it was originally made. I thought it was one of the more well-designed cards at the time, actually. Mainly because of how effectively it punished overextension with Synchro monsters at a time when Synchro monsters were spammed all over the place. It won't get a ban, but it deserves one more than a lot of cards, simply because of the stupid ass loops it brings into existence that will eventually get to a consistent point. Arguing they'd keep this alive for chaos is probably te absolute stupidest reason I've heard for it. The logic of "doesn't top, isn't hit" is at least applicable because that's how Konami rolls, sadly. No one thought it would be banned, just said it deserved it.
