Legend Zero
http://www.konami.com/yugioh/articles/?p=3911
But just as important as the stuff that IS going on, is the stuff that’s not! Tired of Decks that regularly Special Summon 6 times over the first 2 turns, or search their Deck 4 or mroe times every turn? Good news: they don’t exist in Battle Pack Sealed. Do you prefer longer, more epic Duels that let you push yourself to the limit, even in the face of adversity? Excellent, Sealed is for you. In fact, most Sealed games last long enough that even if you open with a weak hand, you’ll have enough time to draw through your Deck a bit and put together a winning game-plan that’ll turn things around… if you’re good enough to pull it off.
I've heard mixed feelings about it and with its official release in a few days I'd like to know everyone's thoughts. :S
Resident Fascist
I love that typo Konami. I also love how you know your meta is broke but refuse to fix it :/ Only good format.
Master Hyperion
So what it basicly says is "Hate our game? Buy this product to play the same game that we constantly keep breaking in a diffirent style". they aren't even trying to hide it anymore
Lonk
So at the expense of promoting Sealed Play, Konami admitted that the main play gamestate is terrible. 11/10 logic
~British Soul~
me and a friend of mine have been experimenting with sealed play on DN ahead of the release tomorrow (for EU) and next Tuesday (for US) and it is alot of fun considering you don't know what your opponent will plan next
This Account is Unplayable
If their game sucks then why do so many people play it? Simple question that no one that b****es about it ever seems to be able to answer. Sealed play looks pretty fun, but personally if I get any packs, it'll be because I want x card out of it instead of sealed play.

It's fun to play it with friends and it's a fun game to play. However, quite a few solitaire decks do tend to exist still... Which is a major throwback for a lot of players to take steps into that community. Also my locals is doing this and they invited me to join, but I declined. Sealed Play would be fun if they reprinted some of the older staples as well as stuff like this
It's quite simple really; We just like the frustration of the game. It it coke and heroin to everyone. Might as well say when you want to duel someone "Hey, you want a bag of crack?". With no surprise, Konami's promotion on sealed play deserves this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xD1FAOJI84
Bringerofcake
So, they're pumping articles all the time about the battle packs, yet Tewart still can't write the third banlist article. Is it forgetfulness? Laziness? My personal theory is that quite simply Konami is using a very indirect advertising tactic by getting people interested in the banlist, then spamming the blog with Battle Pack stuff. People go looking for theory-oh and get caught up in BATTLEPACKBATTLEPACKBATTLEPACKBATTLEPACK. It's quite ingenious.
~/Coolio Prime\~
They aren't saying their game is terrible, it's saying the meta will be slower. There's definitely an appeal to the crowd of people angry with how things are, though. I'm excited to try this out, personally. -Berserker-
I want to try this, but not sure if someone else around here wants too. Anyways, I will get a box, because the reprints are interesting too...
Zeal Ascendant
I'm quite excited for this. Drafts in mtg are really fun, and something like that in yugioh is awesome, especially when the meta is so terrible.

I wrote it last week, but I never like to publish anything without taking a second look at it.
For now, I'll take his word for it. But I do agree, it does look like an advertising tactic to me. I also lol'd at Konami clearly admitting the meta is crap. The typo even implies that whoever wrote the article didn't take the time to look over it.
.Rai
Apart from the fact that their reasoning is utterly horrible, I don't mind Sealed. I mean, I'm already used to the TCGs where Konami borrowed Sealed from. The pack itself is seriously lacking though. Absolutely no thought gone into it, apart from add broken staples because they're not broken in Sealed, add vanilla beatsticks because they're apparently good in Sealed and fill the rest with 200 assorted bad cards that you could technically draft in any order. And why would you replace Dark Mimic with Gravitic Orb in the set? wai~ If you draft the Monarchs and some of the beaters to protect yourself, you kinda win.
