Dementuo
It's amazing how many Star Wars references I can find in this show. OT: Level 9, y u so unused
Premier Alexander Romanov
I don't know why people think this card sucks so much. Find some way to protect it from card destruction, and you're good.
evilfusion
I don't know why people think this card sucks so much. Find some way to protect it from card destruction, and you're good.
That's one reason why. Dyson Sphere requires 2 Level 9 monsters. If that Spell card is being made that V used to Summon this, it may become significantly easier, but still needs dedication and is somewhat conditional. Gagaga Magician isnt even an option since Magician can only become up to Level 8. Level 9 monsters are few, and hard to bring out reliably, so you're pretty much set to need some Level modifying cards/combos. The majority of natural Level 9s are better than Dyson Sphere. In exchange for that effort, you get a 2800/3000 monster that automatically negates attacks directed at itself. To defeat Dyson in battle, your opponent will more than likely need a monster with 2800+ ATK, or an effect that applies when it battles, such as DD Warrior Lady. If the opponent controls a monster STRONGER than Dyson Sphere, you can detach a Material and attack directly. With a 2800 body, that's pretty nice. Lastly, if you have no Materials and this is attacked, you turn any 2 monsters in your Graveyard into Xyz Material, which will trigger its first effect to automatically negate the attack, since it's still the Battle Step. As for flaws, it has zero protection from effects, and with such a big body, it's unlikely to be attacked anyway, except maybe against something like Grapha, Acid Golem, or another big monster, but Dark Worlds tend to have Skill Drain and such. When it attacks, it's also susceptible to cards like D-Prison/etc, or cards that'll negate its effects, like Skill Drain or Fiendish Chain, the latter which is fairly popular. And for 2 Level 9 monsters? How is that worthwhile? You'd have to devote your entire Deck to bringing out this, and it's "just" a 2800 beater. You could defend with Safe Zone, but then you can't use the direct attack, plus Safe Zone becomes a target for S/T removal, and Inzektors will just laugh at this: They dont have monsters stronger than Sphere, and they have so much removal options that this doesn't stand a chance. Blake
Manjy says the absolutely godawful version in the OP is wrong, and you should never cite the wiki before Manjy/Shriek
Just going by the wording found on Majjy, it is A. Optional. B. Confusing, but is, indeed, once per Battle Step. But damn if that wording isn't confusing. I'd love if Darkwolf/Evilfusion/Meta could explain this, though, to be sure x~x
Toffee.
As long as the attack-negating effect is optional, I'm happy. Regardless, I want to make a deck that runs this card. Just because of how hardcore it is.
DARKPLANT RISING
You can just use Level Eater and Galaxy Queen's Light. More like, that's the only way you can conistently summon this.
evilfusion
There's nothing in the "new" wording that changes how it operates, except that it is optional instead of mandatory. Its effect will still work exactly as I've stated before.
-Berserker-
Lemuria makes Coelacanth into 2 of these. I want it just for that. Funny how it can overlay any monster, not just it's materials. You could use it with Needle Sunfish, or even Dandylion (ban!ban!ban!).
