Blake
I run this over Veiler cause clogging issues, and I absolutely love it. Also helps a lot in my absolute worst matchup.
Resident Fascist
at worst, it can pump as a combat trick during battle. At best, it can be a spell speed 2 divine wrath without the discard that can be played from your hand.
Master Hyperion
I'm starting to like this over the Fiendish Chain because it stops effects in the damage step and that the effect negation is still applied even on cards like Rabbit. Oh, and it gives Bubblebeat an additional OTK that doesn't rely on a limited card.
The Warden
A hilarious card to use on Fusilier or Beast King Barbaros.

Mugendramon
This is simply better than Veiler for one reason, it's not limited to their Main Phase.
WhoAreYou?
*waits for a Normal Spell card that negates a monster's effect until it leaves the field*
Not-so-Radiant Arin
Both this and Lance can be used interdependently in their own situations. Chalice is good if you want to run 6 Veiler, or if you want to push for game.

Not that Veiler is a bad card, but Forbidden can be very useful compared to Veiler. Just saying.

WhoAreYou?
Yeah, but because Forbidden is a quick-play you can use it as bait against those MSTs and Storms and still chain it to your opponent's monster (which will likely have not activated their effects before your opponent attempts to destroy your backrow). Sure, it gives your opponent's monster a temporary 400 ATK boost, but that's nothing to worry about compared to the MSTs, Storms, and monster's effects. I get what you're saying about Veiler, but like someone else said, Veiler is limited to only your opponent's Main Phase, while Forbidden can be used during your Battle Phase, YOUR Main Phase, or the End Phase. You can store your Veilers on the side G1, then as they bring in their MSTs you exchange your Chalices for your Mikus.
WhoAreYou?
Off topic of the debate, but I like this card and its cousin:
I'd much rather Veiler the REDMD to stop Lightpulsar coming out then summon Grapha back the next turn. Also, I forgot the real reason why you play Veiler, it's by far the most effective out to Wind-Up, as long as you know when to use it. If Wind-Up go first and you don't draw Veiler you tend to lose (unless you're playing Darkworld, in which case I probably wouldn't play Veiler anyway. Mugendramon
[True, true] (unless you're playing Darkworld, in which case I probably wouldn't play Veiler anyway.)
Hunter doesn't actually care for Dark Worlds, he sends to the Graveyard.
