WATER/Sea-Serpent
Level 7/8
This Card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. If you have exactly 5 WATER Monsters in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this Card (from your Hand). When this Card is Special Summoned, choose 2 Cards at random from your opponent's Hand and discard them. This effect of WATERGRANSOIL can only be activated one per turn. If this Card Leaves the Field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn.
from what I said somewhere else...

So I guess all of these elemental boss monsters (water DaD, gransoil, and the eventual fire and wind counterparts) relate themselves to the spiritual arts

Spiritual Water Art Aoi etc...

Spiritual Earth Art tributes an earth to revive an earth. Gransoil revives a monster when it's summoned.
Spiritual Water Art tributes a water to discard one card. Gran(frost?) discards 2 cards at random.
Spiritual Fire Art tributes a fire to burn equal to its ATK. Gran(fire?) could possibly do some form of burn damage based off of some ATK value?
Spiritual Wind Art tributes a wind to spin a card to the bottom of the deck, so we can guess that Gran(storm?) will spin 1-2 cards when it's summoned?

@Byak: As I mentioned, they are doing these like Monarchs. When Summoned in practically the same way, do X~
Mobius -> 2 Spell/Traps
Zaborn -> 1 Monster
Granmarg -> 1 Set
Thestalos -> Discard 1 + Burn
Raiza -> Spin a Target
Caius -> Banish a Target + Potential Burn
*Skipping Kuraz + Delg*

So of course, some of the Gransoils will end up having better effects then other ones.

So why does it look like a Lightray?

Wiki says the name is Ice Gransoil.
Speaking of possible uses. Though it'd be a lot tougher than in other decks me thinks.

Hopefully when we say hand control, we think more on the lines of Dark Worlds, which are more "Control" over the hand instead of Wind-Ups and Gishkieratics which are more like "What hand?"
How do you think they'd match up to the spiritual arts?

....Why didn't I notice that earlier?
If these actually are following that pattern, the Dark one would be ridiculous.

armz, they're definitely following the spiritual art trend instead of the monarch trend =\
Or both. At least, Fire Art makes me think that's a possibility.
