Dementuo
Triggers off the monster being tribute summoned, not off of being tributed itself. It basically has the same activation timing as all the Monarchs.
darkwolf777
The wording is perfectly fine. The trigger is not "When this card is Tributed". The trigger is "When a monster is Tribute Summoned".
Lonk
alright, thanks guys. It's been bothering me for a while now. Does that mean that the "You can" makes the tributed Steelswarm summons Vanilla?
byak
the effects have the same timing and they go on the same chain, with Caller being chain link 1 and the Steelswarm Tribute Guy being chain link 2.
Lonk
Thanks for the Level 2 clarification Byakk.
Miror B
The only way this card could miss timing is if the Steelswarm's Tribute Summon was done as a CL2 or higher by something like Ultimate Offering.
Toffee.
Somehow I knew this was a topic. Regardless, This card into Mantis is herp-derp-Infest-Spam
Dr. Cakey
In general, you don't need to be concerned about multiple cards activating at the same time, as they simply form a chain. Remember Plant Synchro's Debris -> Dandy -> Black Rose -> Fluff Token combo? It's a good guide for situations like this. It would have been polite of them to make it an 'if...you can' effect to help prevent confusion and make the wording less weird, though.
newhat
The inverse of Steelswarm Scout. Instead of ditching your defenses and avoiding the "loss" involved with the Tribute Summon, you defend Caller and get another monster afterward. Blake
The inverse of Steelswarm Scout. Anyways, don't really see how this is comparable to scout, though it is completely superior.
