Raven chuckled at the overly polite greeting of this "Pheonix". Raven hoped that her destructive entrance would incite the camp ion trying to kill her, giving her an excuse to kill him instead. Just as she was about to answer, a black streak appeared and tried to attack her with twin double axes. Raven was unfazed by the sudden disturbance. If she was really going to be attacked, she could have easily stabbed the woman in the back. With a chuckle, she answered the Pheonix.

"I was once human, yes, but now I am somethig much more. I have recieved many gifts that make me more from my lord as he is generous and kind. I come to your pathetic little camp to give you aid. My lord wishes to destroy the vampire prince and has favored you. It would be folly to refuse such a generous offer."

John frowned at the mention of this 'Lord'. Having lived his whole life knowing and understanding the world around him, for the first time he simply couldn't understand what this girl went on about. She didn't seem to be vampiric in any way whatsoever, so perhaps it was simply that she had an affinity with the element of darkness, corruption, or entropy...if that was even possible. And this 'lord' was merely either her father, some manipulative guy, or the offspring of her own insanity. He decided that these was the best logical explanations, refusing to think of an alternative.

"It matters not. We will be honored to be lent such powers as yours." John told her, doing a formal bow, though there was a hint of disgust in his voice.

Betraying his tone for just a split second, it became obvious that he was restraining himself with all his willpower. He would've done his best to cut her down right there and then had she not offered a chance to offer them her aid. And right now, as she stood before him, he honestly didn't know which person was the greater threat. Her or the vampire prince- wait, prince?

"Oh, there is one thing you are mistaken about. Lord Elnaer is not a prince but the high vampire lord, something equivalent to a 'king' in human terms." He added.

The Phoenix was not afraid of her nor her power, but of course he was suspicious.

"Although there is a condition, which you must uphold up until at least the end of night." He continued on. "You are not to enter the camp, as you will only cause more trouble than what's worth keeping you around, and you will restrain yourself from harming any more of my men," he glanced at Clarice. "...Or women. Also, we are leaving to infiltrate Nuevida at near-midnight-"

While he named his conditions, he hadn't noticed at first but it had been sunset. Actually, the sunset was almost over, and the sun itself had almost entirely disappeared below the horizon.

"-Do you accept these conditions?"

Clarice was stopped by the flames. That god forsaken perfect defense and offense combination always getting in the way of course she had turned down her magic just a bit so she could hear the words John was saying clearly. What? That is a woman? Clarice blurted out. The creature was wearing a cloak so telling its gender wasn't the easiest thing to do off hand and more importantly there wasn't any need to determine its gender at the current time. If John had not intervened the girl would be pile of blood and meat fillets. Though it being a woman would explain why she didn't just lob of her head and attack from behind. Throughout the ages Clarice had built a subconscious code of honor around fighting women. She will never give a women a dishonorable kill.

For example when fighting the trainees she took the all one on one and mostly reacted to their frontal assaults. When suspicious of Shanna even though she was walking behind the shark ninja she still made sure there was eye contact and she slowly drew a blade there couldn't be any real expectation of safety in such a scenario. And finally this new chick clearly could have been killed or at the very least rendered quadriplegic if Clarice came from behind. Could this need to fight women head on be considered a weakness . Interesting. Clarice listened to the girls speech about once being human and now being something more. Now of course this horribly nebulous statement confounded Clarice as to now it begs the question "Are you a woman?" But no matter Captain Braveheart put the witch in the ranks. The only constellation was that John had mentioned that "or women" part and she nodded her head showing that approval. Still disgusted with the overall situation.

So let me see if I get this straight. She...It walks in to our camp, cuts up our guards, calls our camp pathetic, and you say she should join our cause? I don't understand men at all. She said with a mixture of confusion and disdain. To keep from totally loosing control she simply turned around and went back to her area where her girls were resting the sky was growing dark the time was nearing and everyone was going have to be ready for combat. Of course this recent atrocity made her forget all about Shanna and Lyon.

Feredir grimaced as the plant was destroyed, a beautiful plant life burnt to cinders in a few moments. But this was no time for sentiments or emotions. He had not expected the plant to work anyway, and had been on the move as soon as it had struck. He raced across the library, throwing random books at the upper floors with his telekinesis as he ran. Within moments he was behind a bookshelf, out of Elnaer's line of sight. Not that it mattered, for the energy blast that destroyed the plant caused the entire library to shake, and the Shelf ended up toppling backwards onto Feredir, luckily colliding with a bookshelf behind to create a kind of shelter for Feredir.

Elnaer was frighteningly powerful, a true prodigy in the ways of Magick, at least for a Vampire. But he was only powerful; his experience seemed lacking and his control over the powers of Magick were crude and unskilled. Feredir, while weakened from his hibernation and lacking much power at the current time, had spent half his waking life - and most of his meditative life - attuning himself to the nature of Magick, and was skilled, graceful and efficient with his sorcery, something that could prove effective in this duel. A true wizards duel, probably the first true wizard duel in centuries.

Feredir moved to the edge of the Bookshelf, crouching down low so as to see around the corner of the bookshelf while remaining hidden, and watched as Elnaer leapt from the rooms above straight down through a pillar of smoke that had erupted from the smouldering Plant. When the smoke cleared, Elnaer was staring straight towards Feredir, a large hole situated behind him. The Vampire lord seemed to be seething with rage, and instantly fired an energy ball directly towards the Elf. Although initially alarmed, Feredir realised its power had been weakened and raised his hand to block it, deflecting it with a barrier of Magick.

This would've been a longer duel, Feredir suspected, but he had been readying himself since Elnaer's dive. With a flick of his hand, the books in the Library seemed to come alive, and nearly every book suddenly jumped into the air and tore themselves apart. The pages - hundreds of Thousands of them - then started to circle Elnaer, creating a giant sphere of paper with little breaks, and spare pages left to replace any Gaps.

Feredir gasped as he released the spell, almost dropping to the floor with exhaustion. Despite his skill and ability to create such a complex spell with much efficiency, it had taken its toll, and he felt like collapsing right there and then. But he held on and started to run towards the door, stopping as he approached the Dome of Paper. "Your power is Great, oh Lord of the Dark ones. But you use it like a child. Control your emotions better, if you want to defeat me." Feredir shouted, before fleeing after the strange group of companions he had discovered, estimating that he had about 30 seconds before Elnaer would be after them again. He wondered whether he should place more defenses, but he couldn't even summon the meagerest useful magic, barely being able to maintain a flame atop his finger.

"I only grazed the guard he will not die," Niasa replied to Alsa's comment on her violence," besides it got those guards out of here didn't it." A huge plant suddenly burst through the ground only to be incinerated by Elnear's blast. A blast that knock Niasa against a wall. Niasa heard a sickening crack which she assumed was her skull as it seemed to have taken most of the blow. Niasa was able to stand up, but only shakily.

"Oh dear Alsa I can't come with you I must stay here, we will be reunited ounce again after all this is over, goodbye Alsa," Niasa said barely keeping consciousness. Elnear launched a second energy blast towards the elf, who easily dodged it repemanded Elnear and fled. Hoping her brother and his companions could get away Niasa ran to Elnear. As the elf fled Niasa grabbed her brother Elnear by the shoulder,"There will be another day, and another battle brother let him go for now."

Iron Dragon waited patiently until he was certain that Elnaer was distracted with the elf, mainly because of his turning in that direction, before he turned his gaze towards those who were in his company and brought up a wide smile.

"You heard the Elf, it's time we taste freedom." Of course they couldn't see his smile, the draconic visage of his helmet made that impossible and in fact distorted his voice as well. He didn't wait to see if the others would be following him, he just wrapped an arm around Asla and Luis before he bolted across the library floor towards the exit which the guards stood before. His speed was greater than it was back in the prison, if only because he had a bit more distance to get going, and he inhaled deeply as he sprinted. As he willed his breath to become flame, he felt the fire welling up inside him and held it in until he was within easy reach of the guards meaning to prevent their escape.

[s]"Yol Toor Shul!"[/s] He opened his maw and let loose a burst of flames towards the guards, this one having potency reaching that of a young dragon's breath and while that wasn't exactly legendary it was more than enough to do sufficient damage to them or get them the hell out of the way so he could run through the door. Not knowing which way to go, he chose a direction at random and began bolting down the hallway, hoping that he could get enough distance between himself and the rampaging vampire lord to give he and his new companions a chance at escaping with their lives.

"There is absolutely nothing wrong with me, I was just having a nice, friendly chat with the vampire who escorted you here. He refused to co-operate with me though so I slowly prepared an attack to attempt to get him to surrender without me having to actually launch said attack. Unfortunately, he had already wandered off." Lyon looked towards Shanna, watching her hands in particular to attempt to prevent being hit with one of her jutsu. The whole time that was going on, his crossbow was dangling by his side, still loaded, and the water around him was beginning to evaporate.

Disregarding his sister, he pushed her away before turning back to the elf, who was attempting to escape.

"YOU SHALL NOT ESCAPE ME, ELF!!!!!!!" He screamed out in rage, and thrust both of his hands forward. "RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

While it was true that the paper would be distracting him for thirty seconds, it didn't stop him from unleashing a powerful beam of energy that easily penetrated the flock of book pages, if only one aimed blindly, and destruction was fired at the library exit. Unfortunately, by then the prisoner escapees had already escaped.

Lord Elnaer, annoyed, formed an energy ball before dropping it onto himself, the resulting explosion taking all the paper with it. He himself left his own explosion unscathed, though his clothes were slightly damaged. He took a moment to look around and assess the situation.

The library was in shambles, the books scattered. No, they weren't even books anymore, for the elf's spell had took advantage of the fact that paper comes from trees, and he ripped out all the pages to merely delay him. This floor had been almost entirely wrecked, while there was also a large hole all the way to the above four floors. The secret was out that a prison lay beneath the prison, and that they would have to cover up the floor quickly somehow. They would also have to find another - temporary - prison for any further prisoners, due to the fact that the prison itself was too damaged to be of any use. His sister Niasa knew about the prison, and about Alsa's survival, and about the existence of the elf now too, and he had no doubt she was only with him out of loyalty. But to her, the seeds of betrayal had already been planted.

It was a total disaster.

"GUARDS! SEND A MESSAGE TO THE GATE!" He barked out to the cowardly guards who had thrown themselves away from that monstrous dragonic warrior. "GATHER EVERYONE! KILL THE OTHERS IF YOU HAVE TO, BUT DON'T LET THAT ELF ESCAPE!!!"

Hearing his orders, they quickly ran into the exit after the prisoners, though it wasn't to chase after them, but to gather a stronger force, perhaps all the royal guards, and block their escape path.

--------------------------------------------------------------

"This way!" Alsa declared suddenly, forcing his companions to take a right. He looked back to see Feredir coming along. "You actually survived...?! Well, doesn't matter! Follow my lead, they'll probably block the main entrance before we get there, and have soldiers swarming Nuevida anyway... there's a secret passageway over here which should lead us just outside the capital city...!"

In actuality, Alsa was struggling to catch up with the rest of them. The elf and NOT-human were really fast, while even Luis seemed to be somewhat fit for a human. But the young vampire prince on the other hand hadn't ran in two years, so his legs were feeling stiff even with his royal blood and vampire strength.

"Elnear, your stressing yourself out, that's not good you could have a heart attack,"Niasa was attempting to counter her brother's outburst, she leaned over and whispered into his ear,"why don't I call one of the servant girls up, and you can let your frustrations out on her." Normally Niasa would be sickened by the thought of offering a girl up to the whims of her brother, but she needed to calm her brother now or things could get out of control.

"Now why don't you go up to your chambers, and I'll send a servant girl up,"Niasa whispered seductively in her brother's ear. Niasa proceeded to walk out of the library and to her own chambers to clean up after this whole ordeal. She passed a servant girl.

"Could you please go up to my brother's chamber and wait until he comes up, after your done come to my chambers,"Niasa said while handing the girl a few coins and a small circle of plastic. The girl nodded and ran to her brother's chambers. Niasa proceeded to her own chambers and stepped onto her bath chambers, and slipped off her dress. Niasa stepped into the bath and sank into the water so that only her face poked out.

Iron saw that Asla was having trouble keeping up, and he knew full well that it was not in their best interest to have him fall behind and die. He did take the right that the prince had pointed them along, and as he neared him he scooped the vampire up and deposited him on his back where the prince could still give them directions as necessary but avoid falling behind to the point that he would be caught. However, he did have an idea for what he could do and momentarily dropped behind the rest of the group before spinning around to run backwards. While turning around he had taken a deep breath and now exhaled into the hall behind them to fill it with a cloud of toxic gas, specifically a paralytic toxin that in small doses would slow their reaction times and in large ones create total paralysis.

Once the gas cloud had been produced he sprinted back up to the front of the group, making sure not to have kept any of the gas in first, and continued carrying the prince along so as to allow the group to be guided by someone who knew where the hell they were going. The gas wasn't likely to do much more than slow their pursuers down for a minute or two, but anything they could do to give themselves a better chance of escaping was going to be helpful.

The believed-dead vampire prince was relieved when that Iron Dragon man noticed his lack of being able to keep up with the rest of them and decided to help him out. On the man's back, he continued to give out a few more directions, even warning them about a magic trap that only affected humans beforehand.

Then the group of prisoner escapees arrived at a dead end. At least, that's what it seemed like at first, until Alsa got off the inhuman human's back and walked over to it.

"Blood," he uttered.

All of a sudden, as if reacting to his single spoken word, the bricks began to move away from each other by themselves. Once they were all away, it revealed behind them a tunnel lit with candles that led underground, and out of the vampire capital city of Nuevida.

"My grandfather, Espilce von Mira, created this as a last resort, an escape route during the war just in case the humans managed to overrun Nuevida and take over the castle." Alsa explained to the rest. "Inside, it will be safe. My older brother doesn't know of its existence, and so you can feel free to rest within...though it might be a little hot."

Then he walked into the tunnel, while the others followed in after him after their own different reactions. Once they were all inside, the bricks closed in, blocking the path outside. The passage ahead had stone stairs built in to descend below the ground level, though after the stairs was only a tunnel of earth and dirt.

Curiously a single rose defied physics and grew within, sprouting from the 'ceiling' of the tunnel, despite the lack of both sunlight and water. The way it was positioned, it looked like it was staring at them and saying 'I'm so awesome'.

Feredir stuck to the back of the rag-tag group of escapees, his enhanced senses allowing him knowledge of both behind and infront of them without need of being at the fore-front of the group. As such, he merely let the young prince direct them to the escape as he covered the rear. He doubted anyone would be able to keep up with them now, but he was worried. The Vampire lord had been much too strong, 'in-humanely' strong. Something was terribly wrong here.

They came to a sudden halt, and Feredir managed to slow himself down so as to pause with quiet and grace, making no noise as Alsa opened the secret passage. As they passed through, Feredir took a moment to study the wall around the entrance, noting the faint hint of magic as he ran his fingers over the stone. "Fascinating." He muttered, as Alsa explained the back story of the passage. "Your father seems like an impressive man." He spoke up, moving to Alsa's side. He noted the rose growing from the roof and smiled, thankful that nature was still capable of infiltrating such a cold place such as this.

"We should probably get to the Human Camp, hopefully before the sun completely sets." Feredir said, unaware that the sun was setting as he spoke.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrian didn't move as Elnaer rose from his throne, the chill in the air growing to an almost unbearable level. The hatred that emanated from his master was even worse than his own, and he didn't dare look up, for fear that he would be destroyed merely by his master's sight. The movement of his liege was terrifying, and as he rushed past, Adrian almost collapsed through fear. The words of Elnaer weren't heard, all that was heard was a howl like a Demon, a beast from the darkest depths of the earth.
As Elnaer left the room, Adrian dropped from his knees to his hands, barely supporting himself as sweat dripped from his face in loads. How could anyone oppose such menace? How could anyone even think of defeating such a monster. He had seen his master rage before, but not like this! He was usually so subtle and calm, and when they were drinking it was fine, but now...? Now it was horrifying.
He heard the energy beam smash through the castle and presumed that it was over. No-one could survive the wrath of his Master - no-one. As such, he slowly stood up and started to leave the room. There in the hall, leading directly down to the Library, was a massive hole in the floor. "They're dead. They've got to be de..." He started, moving towards the edge of the hole. What he saw there worried him. There stood the elf, and infront of him was a swirling vortex of paper, inside of which stood an angered Elnaer. Adrian's eyes widened as he rushed to the staircases, his blades clattering at his sides.
The group continued to advance through the tunnels, time passing by. It was pretty much impossible to tell what time it was, without any indication, the sun nor the moon nor the stars nor the sky, let alone a clock. Even so, Alsa stated to the rest that they had already gone halfway, having walked underneath thousands of vampires going about their daily lives, unbeknownst to the fact that evil humans lurked right beneath their feet.
But then.
"Stop right there." A voice said.
Against all odds, five vampires wearing jeweled armor were before them, and they all seemed to have been preparing for this. Two of them were wielding rifles, each one's knee on the ground to help regain their stature after each heavy blast. At the far left and right were archers, readying bows with arrows made of sharp metal, one of which happened to be female. And in the very middle stood Vanir, in his complete royal regalia, wielding a sword enchanted with what appeared to be diamond magic of all things. Apparently, he had a bit of royal blood in himself.
"I may not look it, but I am ninety-five years old." He stated, while warning them of an instantaneous death if they tried anything funny, making no attempt to distinguish his opponents. "At age twenty, I served the previous Vampire Lord - Alnasa von Mira - and he informed me of this secret passageway. I knew you had discovered it, Alsa, so I figured you might've tried to go through here."
"Vanir! You know I'm alive!" The vampire prince cried out. "So I don't get it. Why are you threatening even me...?"
"To the world, you are dead." Vanir replied blatantly. "I have my own code of honor about not killing innocents or children...however, there is nothing about killing something who's already dead." Then he pointed his metal-diamond sword at them. "Fire."
Then the four royal guards who were with him fired their arrows and blasted heavy bullets at the escapees, threatening to kill them all.
Just as Iron Dragon saw Vanir's lips parting to begin mouthing the word "fire", he spun around so as to be facing his group of new acquaintances from the front with his back facing the vampires in a flurry of motion. In the time it took for triggers to be pulled and strings to be released, the inhuman creature's body changed. Where once there had only been a back covered in segmented armor plating, a pair of mighty wings had emerged covered by their own layer of segmented armor which was clearly linked to the suit he wore. There wasn't room to fully spread his wings, and that was exactly what Iron had been counting on. The wings combined with his back blocked off the path for the projectiles to fly through and would hopefully prove sufficient to stop them, as he knew all too well that this action exposed areas of his body which, on a human, were vital to the body's function.
Whether his armored wings, the armor bearing its own inherent magic, and back proved sufficient to protect his fellow escapees or not did not change his next action. Moments before the impact of projectiles with his body, he inhaled deeply and completely filled his "lungs" with air. Instead of Acid Flame or Gas however, this time he concentrated upon turning the breath within him icy cold. He could practically feel the cold growing within him, and he held it in until it was almost unbearable. Then, in a flurry of motion equal to that with which he had turned his back to the foes, he spun about and opened his jaws. An icy gale burst forth from his mouth of sufficient cold to freeze the water in the air before him into the peculiar phenomenon known as "Diamond Dust" and carried that along towards the vampires before them.
Vanir was quite flabbergasted when he saw one of his opponents suddenly sprout wings, but it changed to an amused look as an arrow successfully managed to get past the armored human's wings, and pierced through the man called Luis, he watched in satisfaction as the human fell. Even so, when the armored man turned around and launched his icy gale, he was powerless to stop as his four fellow royal guards were frozen.
The human's icy magic backfired when it had created that 'diamond dust', for unfortunately the vampire guard's affinity was of crtals. Vanir had the greatest affinity with diamonds, however, lesser things such as miniature ice crystals could still be controlled. Thus, through manipulation of the formed 'diamond dust', he created a shield for himself that prevented him from freezing through the human's icy gale. However all around the area he was standing, the tunnel as well as his comrades had been turned into Popsicles.
He remained calm, and after the gale had ended, launch himself forward with the sword of diamond properties. Nothing could possibly be harder than diamond, therefore he should be able to pierce this guy's armor no matter what sort of mystical properties it has...!
Feredir merely listened and stood back as the Royal Guard - Vaneel or something like that - caused them to stop, and started to talk with Alsa. It was a short conversation, and the word that it ended with was on that no-one liked to hear, especially at close range. "Fire." Was all the Vampire commanded, and the word was met with a terrible cacophony of Gun shots, the twangs of Crude bows, and the sound of Arrows and bullets bouncing off armour.
For their new friend, the Iron Dragon, suited his name rather well. He had turned around at almost the exact same moment Vanir had uttered his command, and had caught them all by suprise as he extended a massive pair of wings which collided with the walls to create an armoured barrier between the onslaught and the victims, defending them from almost every shot.
But one arrow - a single, ordinary arrow, shot with much precision and luck - managed to find its way through the defence, arching its way towards Luis. And despite Feredir's excellent reaction times, he only managed to catch the human's body as the arrow found its way to Luis' chest. As the human lost conciousness, Feredir drew the arrow from the body. It was a terrible wound, and blood poured out from it in loads.
Dismissing it as hopeless, Feredir lowered the body to the floor slowly, giving a small Elven word of Blessing as Luis drifted into unconciousness. He then pushed himself shakily off of the floor, turning to watch Vanir charge towards them, the rest of the hall having been frozen (for a reason Feredir didn't really care for.)
As Vanir approached the group Feredir moving, diving through a gap in Iron Dragon's wings with speed and grace, and he rose infront of Vanir, his long-knives almost instantly blocking the diamond sword. Not a scratch appeared on them from the impact, showing their strength compared to the blade. However, the Elf himself seemed to be struggling, for he was physically weak anyway, compared to a vampire, and lacked much energy at the moment. "Dont suppose you could provide some strength?" He shouted backwards, aimed at the Dragonoid.
"I go where I please human. You cannot keep me out of your camp as much as your cannot keep out the wind. However, I will leave you humans. I don't want your stink on me."
Raven then turned her back to the Pheonix startling the new guard with a sudden jerk towards him before leaving the camp. Now with nothing much to do but wait until nightfall, Raven noticed that she was still covered in blood, both old and new. It reminded her of the horrible things the vampires did to her. Raven shuddered at the emerging memories, seeking out a place to cleanse herself.
After a bit searching in the forest around the camp, she found a spring surrounded by tall trees. A cursory look revealed no one around, so Raven let her guard down. In a rare moment, she let down her demonic facade and let her human side express itself. After taking off her cloak and armor, she was able to see the scars all over her body for the first time in ages. Stepping into the chilly water, the blood on her feet and legs began to dissolve and wash away. Although initially numbing, the water was refreshing, giving Raven a break from the heat of battle that constantly ate at her. Going waist deep into the spring, Raven sighed in relief as the water washed over her. Raven allowed herself to relax, closing her eyes as she poured the water over the rest of her body.
"You fool, I am a member of the von Mira blood line! Do you think you can contend with the likes of me!?" Gargamel had gotten angred by Glân and began to shoot firebolts at the half breed. With each shot Glân deflected it with his sword. "Well at least we know where he is now. Yes well that does not help us yet. Yet being the active word." Glân contiuned deflecting each shot with his sword untill it began to glow red hot. When this happened Glân stopped moving and just stood there. "I must thank you Gargamel. You have just helped me kill you." Gargamel, who had by now come out of hiding had a puzzled look on his face. "What do you mean?" Glân removed his helmet and gave the vampire a sick and twisted smile. "I could never have beaten you alone since the best that I can do is healing magic. But my sword here makes up for that. You see, this sword was enchanted by a mystic from the east, giving it the ability to absorb magical energies. Mostly this occurs slowly through the natural magic of the world, but when I am fighting a spell caster it absorbes all of the magical energies that are released. You were shooting magical bolts of fire at me, that is magic in one of it's pureist forms. Now allow me to show you what that does for my blade. WIZARDS BANE SLICE!" As Glân brought down his sword it released all the stored up energy in one shot. As the red energy flowed freely it consumed everything in it's path. Gargamel tryed to move but discovered that the sudden relase of all that magic overloaded his own abilities and caused a temporary paralysis. "No I will not die, I am a von Mira, you cannot kill meeeeee!" Gargamel's sentence was cut off as he was consumed by the energy he had given to Glân. The energy continued to carve through the trees untill it stopped just short of a natural spring. Glân was heaving heavly. "Damn, that still takes too much power to use. We need to get some water." Glân stumbled over to the spring and knelt down, it was then that he noticed a rather beautiful woman bathing in the spring. "Well that is it, now I know I am dead." As he finished that last sentence Glân colapsed next to the side of the spring expecting himself to never wake up again.
The strange thing about the arrow that passed through his wing, was that Iron Dragon felt no pain from it at all and an instant after he had unleashed his freezing breath he turned to look at it. No blood flowed from what would have been a painful wound. In fact, the hole mended itself before his eyes, and then he caught motion out of the corner of his eye. He began the process of transforming his hands into claws, but knew that he had probably just seen his death coming as he lacked the time to transform his claws and his wings were preventing swift reaction here in the tunnel.
That was when he heard the clash of blades and noticed that Feredir, having moved much more quickly than expected, had intercepted Vanir's attack. An instant later Iron Dragon's hands had become the blazing claws he so desperately needed in that instant and he realized then that they could win. He did not even wait for Feredir to request his strength, but simply provided it then and there as he stepped forward and to the side of the Elf before bringing his left-handed claw around in a mighty sweeping arc that left sparking trails through the air. However, when he spoke, he unconsciously transitioned into a language which the Vampires had used in antiquity, and was mostly unknown except for the elite in their culture.
"Die at my hand, cur!"
Vanir was somewhat surprised when the elf managed to parry his attack, but he quickly knocked the weak opponent away with the side of his blade before thrusting it forward towards the iron human. But then he jerked back right as the blazing claw threatened to tear him apart. While he didn't successfully make it out, he did use the diamond sword to protect his vital points. What a ridiculous opponent this iron human was.
"You dare....!" He spat out, fiery wounds now burning throughout his body.
He tried to get back up and continue the fight, but he just collapsed back onto his knees, too heavily wounded to continue.
Alsa just watched pitifully, and wondered what the iron human would do.
Ed was watching from a distance when Raven entered. She quickly dispatched two guards with relative ease. That was rather gruesome and horrible, he thought to himself. John confronted Raven about killing the two guards and other trivial that Ed didn't bother caring for. A moment later, Clarice appeared, but was quickly stopped by John's flames. She did what she needed to do and left. That didn't last very long. Raven left a moment later and Ed decided to follow. He wanted to ask her some questions of his own. Ed silently stalked Raven as she weaved her way through the trees to a destination unknown to Ed. The spring came into view and he knew her intentions. Raven looked around which startled Ed, but his quick reflexes and black clothing helped him blend in with the dark background. She stripped off her armor and clothing as Ed silently watched. He quickly composed himself and silently approached the spring, until a mysterious person stumbled and collapsed next to the spring. "Just when I was about to make my move."
As the vampire fell to the ground, too wounded to continue fighting, Iron was faced with a dilemma. The vampire was not a threat anymore, or at least an immediate one, and would likely not bother them once they had escaped. However, leaving him alive was dangerous because Vanir could easily make his way back to the castle and tell the vampire lord of their presence. There was also the option of taking him prisoner, which would slow them down and give them the inevitable difficulty of having to subdue him once he had recovered.
Unable to make the decision himself, he planted a heavy foot on the vampire to keep him pinned to the ground before turning to look over his fellow escapees. Though his face could not be seen, he wore an expression of the grim burden set before them now that the vampire was crippled but not dead. He remained silent for a moment, standing there whilst commanding his wings to retreat back into his body; the result being that as quickly as they had come his wings returned to him.
"The way I see it we have three options," he began, "One," He stated, extending his right index claw, "we kill him here and now. Two," he raised his middle claw for this, "We leave him here alive. And three," he extended the claw that had been his ring finger, "we take him with us to the human camp. What do you think we should do?" His gaze turned back and forth between Asla and Feredir. He personally thought that they should kill him, so were either of them to suggest it he would quickly end the vampire's life.
"I- I think we should take him with us." Alsa suggested. "I don't want one of my fellow vampires killed, and the humans may also learn valuable information from him as well. I don't really know how the war's progressing, seeing as how I've been in that dark place for years...but I'm sure Vanir should be of at least some worth to them... It may slow us down, but it's not as if there's anybody else who knows this place...this royal guard was the only exception. Now then..."
He sighed heavily, giving a pitiful look to Luis. Poor Luis. Not bothering to check up on him, he walked on ahead.
"...shall we continue?"
Dusk had already passed, and now John was preparing for the infiltration. Before then, he would have to inform everyone of how they would go about this exactly, having withhold this information just in case a vampire spy had obtained it. He thought about the planning, everything was all right and well. If everything went according to plan, Lord Elnaer and Niasa will be dead before the next full moon comes, and Lyon will succeed the throne.
