It was a homage to that misprinted Neo Daedalus which wasn't a nomi at the time.

Also, this should summon any 2 WATER monsters of the same level from your Deck, and should remain on the field during the turn until the End Phase, where it banishes itself for the effect to go off.

they may reverse nerf it so its "when this card leaves the feild [followed by the remainder of the effect (possibly followed with the summoned monsters ATK and DEF being set to 0)]"

Would make it alot better along with if Konami makes a rank 8 water monster as a sub decent pack filler.

Caius on your own card -> -1 -> Effect goes off, giving you 2 monsters -> +1
Or if you want to be weird; Dark Core your own card -> -2 -> Effect goes off, giving you 2 monsters -> +0
...
I may have miss-calculated, but you get the idea.
