NeoRWBY65
What if an event allowed up to 4 copies of every unlimited card, 3 of every semi-limited, 2 of every limited, and 1 of every forbidden? What kinds of decks would you see there?
-Griffin
The game would be insanely terrible. Turn 1 Exodias everywhere. FTKs/Loops become way too easy. We'd be much better off going the other way.
mido9
2 of every limited, and 1 of every forbidden
FTKs. FTKs everywhere. The 1 of each forbidden part is a bit silly with stuff like makyura, painful,PoG,charity and stuff, and i dont want to go against a chaos dragon deck running 2 REDMD/2BLS/1CED/2DAD/1Futurefusion. -Griffin
Would FTKs/ect use 4 Upstarts, 4 One Day of Peace, ect? Would Decks like Lightsworn run 4 of their draw card? Even if it wasn't FTK The Format, things like 4 Reckless Greed is silly.
EmpoleMew
The only way the game could exist with an increase in copies is if the minimum deck size was made 50. That being said, do you want double Shi En?
NeoRWBY65
I just thought it would make for much more variety in decks
-Griffin
It would destroy variety, skill, and the game as a whole.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Why would you think that increasing the number of usable limited and semi-limited cards would be a good idea? There's a reason they're at those numbers.

Sleepy
What would happen? Well, Kaiba would feel really bad for tearing up that fourth Blue Eyes.
I just thought it would make for much more variety in decks
No, quite the opposite. 40-card Decks with a "4 copies per card" rule would allow Decks to be built with as little as 10 different cards only. Literally, 1 Deck would equal 1 single combo, and I'm pretty sure that, even when people love consistency, 10-card Decks sound really boring. Also, banned cards are banned because you are not supposed to use them Semi limited cards are semi limited because they demonstrate to be too good at 3 Same but more extreme for limited cards. ^by moving everything in the list like that, you are essentially creating a format that is worse than Traditional. Also, FTKs and easy OTKs shouldn't ever happen, and giving players the tools to make them, will encourage them to make them, even when FTKs and OTKs are not a desirable part of game design. Funny, I made a topic not that long ago, suggesting the complete opposite of this (max per card be 2, and ban limited cards), and called it "What if yugioh" xD I guess that shows my stand pretty clearly. mido9
On the bright side, you can run 33% more droll & lock bird to go against exodia right ?

Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Cards are also semi-limited or limited because their interactions with copies of themselves creates loops or unfair advantage, such as with Night Assailant, or Card Trooper who at 3 creates an OTK, and also fuels Magical Explosion decks to the extreme. Lonk
4 One Day 4 Upstart 1 Pot of Greed 1 Charity 3 Duality 2 Sangan 4 Reckless Greed 4 Ponder 5 Pieces loads more random stuff
icwutudidthar The game would suck so badly (if that is possible). Like Expel said, it would destroy variety; top tier decks would be polarized from the tier scale because they would gain power with their key card numbers increased while the not top tier decks would be weakened because filler card numbers would be increased. It's a bad idea.
