evilfusion Posted September 8, 2012 Report Share Posted September 8, 2012 What is with all the Xyz with effect negation? Especially if they specialize in negating other Xyz? The anime was ridiculous, but the RL version is just...wanting to be good, and failing. Few things to note, though. First, the Trigger Effect to negate other Xyz activates when it's SPECIAL Summoned, so things like Xyz Reborn or even Monster Reborn will negate other Xyz. Secondly, it doesn't have to target a negated Xyz to steal its name and effects. But that's it. Nothing else that warrants 3 Level 4s to Summon. I personally think it should have been a Continuous Effect that negates all other Xyz. That way, it'd still be Xyz specific, rather than a Trigger Effect, and be truer to the anime version. But doesn't Number 8 already handle the whole "negate an Xyz and steal its effects" thing? Why is Coat of Arms almost the exact same thing in RL? In the anime, Coat of Arms negated all monsters and could steal the effects (at least the effects of Xyz, since those are the only ones we saw it use). In fact, Coat of Arms is WORSE than Genome Heriter, and Genome uses Medallion Beasts only. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
