Normal Spell Card

Draw 2 cards, but you cannot activate other Spell Cards or Set Cards during this turn.

Generic Pot of Greed that cannot be used on FTK Exodia.
Discuss.

i dont think its broken

it has the drawbacks that Cardcar D should've had in addition to allowing some undermeta decks that ability to get that speed boost and keep up with faster decks

it's definitely not as bad as some people are making it out to be and i think printing it un-nerfed could really benefit some Tier 3 Decks like Sams and Fableds.

Intresting card though it makes you think on how to proceed your turn, than just playing it straight away since its one of those wait for the right time to use it sort of cards.

This takes next to no thought process. You drop it turn 1 or the first chance you get. More often than not, giving up Spells for a turn is no worse than giving up Special Summons or a whole turn.

But its more than giving up spells it also prevents you from setting monsters and Traps that turn.

I'll admit, I missed the setting part.

But, even then, it's just an easier to abuse Cardcar. It doesn't take much thought to activate this, seeing as you can still Normal Summon and Special Summon. The drawback is easy to ignore more often than not. It's basically a badly balanced Pot of Greed that aids in OTKs and combo decks more than other stuff. It's a more generic Cardcar, which borders on too generic.

Forgive me because I haven't watched the ep, but I'm confused by the wording. The way I'm reading it (and it might just be me being stupid) I'm reading you cannot activate spells, or activate any cards already set. As opposed to the way you're all reading it as you cannot place cards face down on the field. So... um... yeah, like I said might be me, but confusion for me. Which obviously effects my judgement of it.

I mean, it doesn't aid 'play Upstart Goblin/Hand Obliteration/Momentary Truce/etc/etc until Exodia is drawn' decks, which is good. I dunno, between this and cards of adversity I'd say this is more balanced, but that's like saying I'd rather be trampled on by an elephant than a rhino. Hmmm...

I think we'll get one or the other, but in what capacity of nerf I don't know.

I'd like to see a generic draw card along the lines of

"At the start of your Main Phase 1: Draw 2 cards, then proceed to the End Phase."
