This is the first time I actually bothered to look on PETA, but after seeing this satire on Pokemon's latest hit, as well as other parodies, this is just utterly retarded. Discuss.

Well, to be fair, they do have some reason to dislike Pokemon's concept. Capturing animals and making them beat the crap out of other animals for human entertainment (or whatever they do now) is...well...inhumane. Frankly, I'm surprised the anime continued after the first movie's in-universe revelation that maybe it's a bad thing to train and order animals to kill each other.

The concept itself is, yes, technically inhumane. The way its pasted off, however, doesn't really seem that bad.

They're fictional creatures in a fictional world... How exactly is it sending a wrong message to children and under what proof? What, are kids gonna go out and catch wild animals in little balls?

Sounds like a bunch of idiots with a lot of time and money on their hands.

This is copyright infringement, libel and possibly trademark violation. Nintendo/Game Freak honestly should sue.

Also, the games themselves already sort of touched on this issue. Why else would the sprites for Team Rocket Grunts in R/B/Y/FR/LG have whips?

Team Rocket didn't have whips in FR/LG. Tamers did however. Which makes it worse somehow.
Also, did they ever consider how dangerous Pokemon are? We've got giant murdering machine bees, for Arceus' sake.

I seriously want to spite the designer who actually did this: as a part of an industry constantly plagued by copyright, someone from the industry shouldn't be helping it happen (in an insanely over-the-top annoying completely disgusting way). Besides, they seem to be always misinterpreting how shock value works.

Admittedly, it was a fun game. Ahem.

I saw this game yesterday and I find the game is stupid but hilarious (i.e. the custom pokemon cards)

I agree with you there.

It made me chuckle. I'm actually happy that PETA did this. Next to no one outside of the Pokemon game industry is taking it seriously as far as I know, and Pokemon fans are retaliating. PETA are also liable for suing so no worries there, and the custom cards they made are also pretty entertaining to look at.
