You are allowed 1 "Power" Limited Card from the "Power" Ban List. You are allowed 1 "Special" Limited Card from the "Special" Limited Ban List and so on. Now it's just well what really makes this any different from the normal format. And thats still confusing. I just really dislike the idea of have to separate lists. In fact, most of the cardpool of the game, looking at how banned, limited, and semi-limited cards combined don't even reach 100 cards out of the more or less 5800 cards out there. Most of my Dark Scorpions don't represent much of a problem at 3 All Normal Monsters, All Evil HEROs, most Extra Deck monsters, most Ritual Monsters, most of the pack filler cards in history. Making a specific list of cards is arbitrarily helping out certain decks. Even if it's not much of a difference, it doesn't sound that right to me. Where it reads "Power/Special Card" in the above list, it means that you get to choose either a Power Card from the list, or an Special Card. In other words, in any Chance Format Deck you can either run 1 Power Limited and 1 Special Limited Card, OR 2 Special Limited Cards. The same goes for the Semi-Limiteds, but instead of 1 you are allowed 2 copies of each. Of course, all the Limited and semi-Limited card choices should be different, so if you choose to run no Power Cards, you cannot run, for instance, 2 Book of Moons or 4 Ojama Trios. Now, why bother with all these Power/Special Lists? Chance already mentioned some examples, but I will try to explain it with yet another one: Dark Assailant. This card is not even close to Dark Hole or DAD in terms of power, am I right? But in the Advanced Format it was limited because it made loops with copies of itself. However, in Chance's Format choosing this card as your Limited Card would make you unable to run Limiteds like the 2 previously mentioned monsters or a Heavy Storm, leaving you in disadvantage. So, with this Power/Special List Rulings, where Dark Assailant is in the Special Limited List, now you can run the Dark Assailant [b]along[/b] Dark Hole/DAD/etc. Changing subject, I was thinking ROTA could be moved to the Special List as well. Chance already explained how this card is powerful, but I don't think it can be truly compared with current Power Limiteds such as Dark Hole/Heavy/Reborn/etc. As an Special, it would be a nice addition to Decks that don't have many Warrior choices such as Verz, Sacreds and X-Sabers, without taking them their Power Limited choice. Finally, I think Bottomless should be moved to Power Card so players won't simply stack their Decks with 2 Bottomless + 2 Warning/TT/Mirror Force. What I liked from this Format is how you had to resort to underused (but equally good) Traps since the Warnings/TT/Mirror/Bottomless are all Limited/Semi-Limited and you couldn't run all of them in a single Deck. [/quote] I understand, but in that case that HERO Deck spent its Power Card slots in ROtA and E-Calls, which should leave it in disadvantage as it left out Honest/Dark Hole/Heavy/Dualities/Solemns/TT/etc. With ROtA as Special, HEROes will still be able to defend themselves with at least a Power Limited Card, since they should be going for E-Call as their Power Semi-Limited anyways. It sounds fair to me... but I shoud be taken as a grain of salt since I have not dueled against a HERO Deck in Chance Format yet. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

More than likely power. Since I think I'm one of the few people who has tested Hieratics, I say it should get hit on the princaple, and the practice. Disagree with me how you want, but it doesn't take a lot of work to make it consitent, get REDRUM, then make M7 who can recycle the REDRUMs... Since REDRUM is already hit, Atum is the next logical step. I understand its not groundbreaking, but thats becuase we haven't trialed it in a tournament yet. Otherwise, I would love to see something put on the OP. And I don't have to many issues with certain card plays yet. However the Hero thing isn't to bad. ROTA stays a power card imo, becuase the impact it can have in all deck types. Stratos is a bigger thing for HERO's than Rota. So both of them should probably stay limited. Though I still feel like Avarice is a Power card, especially in a deck like Wind-Ups or any deck that cycles through monsters quickly. Also, sorry, Chance, but because I'm doing a virus scan I guess my computer doesn't want me to duel. I'll wait until it's done, which might be a while still.
