~British Soul~
My question to you guys is: Have you ever seen people (whether it be IRL or on DN) continue their plays after a Maxx "C" drop? You should know what it does, discuss guys.
.Rai
I have an awful habit of continuing plays after Maxx "C" drops, because it's really more intimidating than it looks.
~British Soul~
I'm sometimes like that too Rai, especially if I'm using Dragunities for example, although sometimes if I see Maxx "C" after I SS Phalanx, I'd go into Gae Dearg so that they don't + too much. Just Crouton
I would only side it. And, I have had someone make plays after I dropped a "C" on DN at least once.
Kingdom Xathers
Opponent drops this, then you SS Protector of the Sanctuary and proceed to troll face.
-Berserker-
They only throw this at me when I use Wind-Ups, and my WU deck can always find resources to summon Decisive Armor, so one or two times I made them draw as much as I could, then summoned AoJDA and tried my luck (right now I can only remember OTKing a Cyber Dragon deck this way, but I'm sure I have done it against either Hieratics or Chaos Dragons too...). Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Opponent drops this, then you SS Protector of the Sanctuary and proceed to troll face.
I enjoyed that. Um, I probably would carry on with my play and my reasoning is that when I started playing I sometimes wouldn't attack if my opponent had a face down, fearing a Mirror Force. I soon learnt, or was kindly advised by better players, you couldn't play in this way fearing the worst about hidden cards you could do nothing about when they might just as well be a bluff, if you had a chance to do major damage you had to take it, otherwise you could well regret it later. If they have Mirror Force, so be it. If they don't, you're in. So I'd take dropping Max C in the same vein. If they draw Black Hole/BLS, lucky them. If they don't draw something to help them recover, lucky me. If I lose because I stopped my play, then they summoned something that couldn't have overcome the monster I planned to summon but now I can't reverse, I'd feel dreadful and that I'd lost rather than they won (/that I fell for their psycho play rather than they made me fall for it). For an example of how you shouldn't play guessing and fearing your opponents cards you should read Chapters 39 and 40 of my fic. Because yes, I am just that desperate now. TheKaitoKid
Maybe I'm just bad, but I've never been scared off by a Maxx "C" drop. My main deck is Chaos Stun so the only times I Special Summon is when it's time to push for game. I almost never stop my play and I've never been punished for continuing a play after a Maxx "C" drop. Funny story about Maxx "C" though. I was playing Fableds [Raging Turbo] and he drops Maxx "C" and I proceed to loop him until he draws into his last Veiler [He dropped one on my Librarian earlier in the duel]. He pluses a bunch and I drop Card Destruction for the Deck out. Funniest Ragequit ever.
EmpoleMew
I would never stop after a Maxx "C" play unless I knew that the person was running Tragoedia, because anything they draw off of "C" will either be useless in the hand or a minor inconvenience at most. Aerion Brightflame
One of the funniest matches I have ever seen was Wind-Ups verus's some really lousy warrior deck. The person using it was amazing, but his deck was terrible. Anyhow, its the Wind-Up players third turn, his couple of plays before that were countered with Torrential and Solemns. Goes Magician - Shark ect. With the guy dropping Maxx C as soon as magician turns up. Wind-Up player carries on, and they've draw around 15 cards by the end of it. The Wind-Up player procceds to play his face down, something I can't quite remember the name but it shuffled his opponents entire hand into his deck and had him draw 2 cards... It was hilarious, given that Gorz, Fader and Trag were all in the hand he shuffled in. OT: its great. I can't think of much more to say.

Love of Ghibli
I don't really get scared by maxx "C" ever. I usually summon Venus and then they drop Maxx "C" and I proceed to go all the way into Gachi or w/e I was doing. Interesting I still win though, a solid set up is a solid set up. Of course my favorite instance was someone dropping Maxx "C" on my Fabled while I'm staring at my card destruction in hand. So I simply synchro and SS till I can't anymore and by the time he had 25 cards in his hand I dropped Card Destruction. He rage quit naturally lol
Expelsword
Usually the cards you draw won't stop Quasar, since you need 2 of them. One time, I managed to draw Effect Veiler and use it on a Catastor to stall for a turn and come back next round.

newhat
Someone once tried to push Quasar through this. He had BLS, and Catastor, and Quasar. I had Veiler, Gorz, Snipe Hunter, Monster Reborn, Gem-Knight Fusion and about a million bullets.
