Some dude ran it in Chain Burn at my Regionals. Being able to chain it over and over and over after every new card was activated doubled the amount of damage he could inflict to the opponent.

And this is why I still think we should eliminate the ability to have multi-chainability.

I also dislike multi-chainability, design-wise.
If you have something like LaDD or Horus LV8, your opponent might give it a shot at sacrificing something in order to take advantage higher up in the chain.
If you have something like Naturia Synchros, why do you even try?

^Looking it that way, it scares away some of the player interaction in the game.

Only reason I'm unsure about the Naturia Synchros at all is, you might as well concider them like a Jinzo or Spell Canceller that can be negated by Counters, and allow for Super Polymerization.

but even so, so, annoying.

Since I suck at meta and read this card for the first time now...

Why is it good in Wind-Ups?

One of the reasons: In exchange for leaving your field empty for a turn, you can guarantee a Level 3 monster to use for an Xyz on the next turn.

Because once a wind-up toy completes its action, it cannot repeat it without being wound again. (Legendary Wind-Up Key, Overwind)

I don't think he was asking why/how, I think he was saying "I don't understand. You can only use its effect once while it's on the field." If it could be activated multiple times, that technically means it could infinitely chain to its own effect and therefore make an infinite loop.

Yeah, I inserted a "why" in there for some reason.

Seriously though, what's with all the cheating that goes on at big tourneys?
