Gorz, the Emissary of broken cards that avoid the banlist

Recommended Posts

I think it's almost needed to balance the power creep. Seriously, I'd rather not lose to 3 Abyssmegalo and a Moulinglacia or the Shock Lock.

At least this gives you a fighting chance. 4 Formats ago it was too broken, but since like Plant Synchro I'd rather have this as an out than have nothing and lose to OTKs.

It's honestly not that bad; it's a necessary evil. Slows down/stops OTKs. Maybe if Konami stopped pumping out broken decks that swing for game 12 seconds after drawing their first card, this wouldn't be necessary.

Battle Fader/Scarecrow can also stop OTKs. The difference between them is that they aren't an extremely easy summonable giant beatstick that also can create a Token which is a target for Honest. Oh, and not to mention it's DARK for Chaos and Dark Armed.

Gorz is broken but Honest is a terrible argument to use.

Trag slows it down more than it stops it. Gorz 9/10 puts a halt to the shenanigans entirely. I personally don't like it for the same reason's you guys don't but I can see why it's still around.

Slowing it down is enough for a comeback. If you can't make the comeback your opponent outplayed you more than likely in the first place.

Opponent goes to win, because you played badly, and had to lose because of-
WAIT, NO, YOU HAD GORZ.

Also, I think Gorz was made by Kanea West

...Fine
But someone find me a screenshot of DN, where someone was losing, but then won, because they Summoned Gorz and attacked for game with it.
Reason being, the line for it will make so much more sense.
[/quote]Can't you just photoshop Kanye's face on gorz?

I was thinking you could photoshop the card to look like Kanye was holding it. Then have him say something like, "Imma let you finish but, I summon Gorz." Or etc.

OT: Bad card design in a game filled with bad card design. It's the hero Yu-Gi-Oh! deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Well in either case, it's not Gorz attacking for game, but...

Problem with Tragoedia is that unless you sit with 5 or more cards, you won't be able to deal with most stuff an otk is going to throw at you.

Gorz is however on the broken side. Problem with him is his main body. If he had been a weak level 7 monster you could use him to stop otk's and hit them back with the token, however, you would not be able to use him in order to get two free hi atk beatsticks (in most cases with gorz killing the attacking monster allowing your token to kill something else).

On the other side though, you can read most Gorz plays fairly easily, and if you suspect him there are plenty of ways to kill him after attacking.
