Grunt Issun
WITH TONS OF PREP TIME. Batman is a human. Strong and smart, yes, but not Superhuman. He can't lift ten tons. He can't detect everything that goes on around him all at once. He can't endure explosions straight to his face with little damage. His main weapon is stealth, which is POINTLESS when you're up against the Spidersense, which, again, detects everything around Peter.

Fanged Dragon
Just saw the new Amazing Spiderman movie. Actually quite good. Not sure if I prefer it to the old trilogy though. Anyone else seen it?
.Spock
I'm not a huge fan, but I wouldn't go as far as to say he sucks. The concept is probably a lot smarter than anything you could come up with. Beggars can't be choosers.
Mr.WHAM
@Roxas Please tell me more about the One More Day fiasco and the story. OT: I don't read Spider-Man comics. I cannot afford too. When I hit my 60s that's when Ill invest the time to read these comics. I would OBSESS SO HARD. MMMMMMMHJHHMMM. Spidey is one of If Not my favorite Characters of all time. He's so good that even villians like him. The symbiote that he's used and abandoned multiple times like a bad whore loves this man. The Green Goblin once treated him as family. At one point in his life he made Google crash and fought on both sides of a war. He is hilarious and while not the funniest, because that's Deadpool for whatever reason, I am pretty sure he could make the Joker kill himself laughing. I bet he could get a chuckle out of Bats even. He is an ordinary person with and extrodinary ability. I LIKE ALL of the recent Spider-Man ,movies and somewhere on the internet is a rant about how they could make some pretty crazy movies about Venom Carnage and the Sinister Six and save the series (movie wise because they don't follow the same story necessarily). On Peter's good days I am pretty sure he could pick up Mjolnir if he wanted. The guy is an icon and a hero in every sense of the word, giving up his marriage for love. This guy gives me pride to be a fan of. There are days where I sit and think,"DAMN IT PETER! Stop playing around, use your will and take full control of that symbiote!" I love Spider-Man and the only things he sucks on are his drinks and Mary Jane. By the way the whole no webbing versus webbing thing stems from: 1. When he has the symbiote he can make his own webbing, organically. Don't know if he retains the ability afterwards anymore though. 2. The spider bite affected his mind as well, giving him an instinctive know how of how to create webs. 3. There was a Spider-Man series where he stopped using cartridges. It might have been the 90s. And this last statement might be wrong. The point is Spider-Man doesn't suck. He sticks. If you want him to suck then change him to Flyman. The only thing that I know is that while Mephisto should be the only one to know about the deal Peter made with him, Deadpool knows about it because he's Deadpool. Ren✧
Saw the Spider-Man vs. Batman debate a few posts above. Okay, Batman would definitely win. Okay, so he doesn't have any super powers, but so what. As someone mentioned before, he has plans to take down every member of the Justice League, which is probably well over 50 members, ranging from aliens, humans, magicians, etc, some of which meta and not meta. Being a genius, billionaire, detective, master martial artist I am pretty sure Batman could easily come up with a plan to kick Spider-Man's spindly butt. I will admit that Spider-Man's spidey sense would prove a problem, but if Batman could figure out a way to be Martian Manhunter, who has telepathy, I pretty sure beating a spidey sense wouldn't bee too much of an obstacle. I am not saying it wouldn't be a challenger but Batman would definitely win. He has taken down metahumans before, Bane and Poison Ivy to just name two. But on to the topic of Spider-Man himself: The Spider-Man trilogy, was meh, (no where near as good as the Batman Trilogy but I won't go back into that argument...in this post...). I haven't seen the newest Spider-Man, but I really want as its rating say that it was quite amazing. Spider-Man is an okay superhero. His powers are cool, especially the spidey sense, but I don't like his cry baby attitude. But hey, he's better than Aquaman so that's a plus. Shradow
We were talking with no prep time, though. No plans, just a straight battle. And when someone, as a human, albeit a strong one, goes into a straight battle with someone who can lift 10 tons, run 200 mph, and has complete omnipresence, you lose.
Too lazy to watch video. But we are talking about one of the best minds ever. Surely Batman could easily formulate a plan to take down Spider-Man, seeing as he already has plans to take down each member of the Justice League. Also, what I am seeing here is that all the Spider-Man supporters, or perhaps it is just you Shradow and I am not paying very close attention to the posts, that in a just random confrontation that Spider-Man would win(by your opinion), but if there were prep time then Batman would win. Phantom Roxas
@Roxas Please tell me more about the One More Day fiasco and the story.
Long ago, in the year 1987, Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson were married in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21. Alas, in the different parts of the world, three young boys were displeased with this. Joe Quesada, Tom Brevoort, and Stephen Wacker did not believe that Spider-Man should be married, believing that the marriage itself was either forced and that Spider-Man was somehow more interesting when involved with love triangles. And so it was foretold than in twenty years time, these three would challenge the very idea that made them so butthurt, and as Joe had risen to position of Editor-in-Chief, their dream finally seemed within reach. After the man of spiders made himself a wanted fugitive in the Civil War and briefly resumed wearing his black suit in a shameless promotion for his latest film, he, Mary Jane, and his dear aunt May sought shelter in a hotel. Alas, the Kingpin sent an assassin, and when Peter moved Mary Jane out of the way, May was struck instead. Wrought with guilt, Peter sought out the help of Doctor Strange, who somehow could only help people with magical illnesses, despite being shown to be able to help people recover from non-magical injuries. And so he made space and time his plaything so that Spider-Man could visit every single person in the world who can help him, but alas, apparently Mister Fantastic, Doctor Octopus, Doctor Doom, Hank Pym, and countless others cannot heal a single bullet wound. And thus, Peter is approached by Mephisto. As the demon doesn't desire Peter's soul, believing that souls given for noble sacrifices are not fun to torture, he wants Peter and Mary Jane's marriage. And so, Peter and Mary Jane are given [s]one more day[/s] an hour to reflect on their life together, before agreeing to the deal. And so history is rewritten to have happened exactly the way it did, except Peter and Mary Jane were just never married. tl;dr: Peter made a deal with the devil to give up his marriage so that Aunt May can live because editorial is petty.
Nono Emma Stone though...
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Andrew Garfield is actually someone I want all the ladies to fawn over, since then we can move on from Twilight and the popular "hot guy" is an actor I do like. It also helps that he was my favorite in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and The Social Network, so him being announced as Spider-Man made me really happy. Here's hoping their relationship lasts.
