Pot of Avarice

on 1 hand you sit with 3 PoG, on the other with 3 PoA. You need 15 monsters in your grave to draw the same number. It's far more reasonable than PoG will ever be.

Think of other cards that let you draw 2 cards. What about Cardcar D? What about Destiny Draw (though it requires you to use D-Hero, so not that good in other decks). There also exists no cost cards that let you draw. Legacy of Yata-Garasu. It's a Trap, plus only 1 card, but it's still nice since you don't need 5 monsters in your grave. Then there's others with work well in some decks where you draw a lot, such as Reckless Greed, and that's 2 (even though you do lose two turns, but if you activate a bunch in the same turn, you will get more cards for only 2 turns). There's also others which might fit more decks, but I only mentioned a few, White Elephant's Gift is useful in some decks, and so is Trade-in.

Fableds would rather have 3 Pot of Avarice to 3 Pot of Greed, by far. Have you seen how the deck works with Avarice at 3, even without TGU or Tengu to abuse the restock or anything like that? It's not the best deck by far, but it can get REAAAAALLY fuckign stupid, and is in no way reasonable. And Fableds are absolute s*** right now and are in no way usable, and would only be even usable in even a high casual setting with either 3 TGU, 3 Tengu, OR 3 ot of Avarice. It's akin to those in how well it gives decks power.

This card isn't balanced like Cardcar. It has no drawbacks, no restrictions, nothing. Cardcar requires at least some intelligence to use and doesn't recycle your best cards.

By this logic we unban Pot of Greed, which this is arguably better than a lot of the time.

This should have ended the discussion tbh. It's not always live, sure. But when you pull it off it's literally Pot of Greed that lets you reuse your strategy. To 0 plz

Just cuz I feel like it, IMO a necessary evil is a card that is inherently too powerful and badly designed, but counters other broken aspects of the game. For example, I believe Dark Hole is a necessary evil. As overpowered as it is, the fact that decks can summon monsters and swarm so easily and consistently makes something like this necessary in the game. I'd also mention Gorz and Heavy but the arguements against both cards are extremely well deserved.

Gorz, yes arguments are good because other cards do what it does without being ridiculous.
Heavy's still a necessary evil as we have nothing else that inhibits set 5 pass format that everyone's dreading.
