The Hounds Of Anubis
How on Earth is Tengu "too good"? We only have 2 TGU. We have no Glow-Up Bulb. Plants has a bad matchup against a lot of the best decks.

Even without the Plant factor, it's regenerating Tribute and Synchro fodder with a 1700 body that gets the Fire Formation support and Horn of the Phantom Beast. I believe Tengu is too good to be at 3, even though Synchros are mostly unused and Tribute Decks usually run other things now.
So, your argument is entirely that it's a good card that gets good support from a deck that wouldn't be broken without Tenki anyway? Tengu doesn't have this great spot in the game where it's insanely good anymore. It's perfectly fine to be put to 3 if Tenki ever gets banned, which it should anyway. evilfusion
Tengu was good in pretty much everything. Maybe, it wouldn't be as bad since Synchros fell out of favor, as Xyz can't abuse Tengu. But I'm pointing out that sometimes, cards continue to warrant a slot on the list because later-released cards make it stronger. Tenki is probably an issue. I dont think Tenki deserves to be banned, though, and I'm expecting a semi-limit at most. But with Tenki and the other Beast-Warrior support coming around, I dont think the environment is safe to let Tengu out and roam free.

Tenki is reusable, searchable, and all around much more powerful than RotA. Having 1 copy isn't /as/ bad, but it's still a lot more power than a single RotA.
Since I cannot recall any decent ways of returning it to the deck, by reusable you mean bounceable, right? Sure it is, but there aren't a lot of ways to do it, maybe that new Synchro guy or Zephyrus, but those aren't really that good. Besides, Tenki will probably end up in the Graveyard right after being used (Chicken, Bear, Gorilla, etc). Limiting it wouldn't be a bad move in my opinion. Besides, we know Konami won't ban the star player of their new favorite deck without giving it at least one or two formats to shine, right? And RotA to anything more than 1 is a no-no because of HEROs and Samurai.

It's also SEARCHABLE, as I mentioned, giving it the power to be exactly what you want when you need it, which gives it an edge on RotA. They both have powerful targets to use them well, but Tenki has the capability for Reuse (Volcan and Pleiades, for example) and can be grabbed from the deck early on if not drawn. It's way easier to grab, so being at more than 0 makes it a CONSTANT nuisance.
Wildflame
Oh, I forgot about Pleiades. Well, Constellars actually deserved that in order to be more playable. I just realized this is a Tengu thread... OT: I used to hate this card with a passion durnig Plant format, only when it went to too I started using it.
It lets Konami make money, that's why it won't go straight to 0. It would be interesting to see Tengu at 3 for a format. Just for one, it would probably be a bad one, but still. It's probably one of the more debatable changes that could be made to the existing list.
The Hounds Of Anubis
Why would Tengu @3 be a bad format? (Assuming Tenki isn't a factor, of course.)
