Divine Judgment of the Spellbooks

Spell/Quick

During the End Phase of the turn you activated this card, add any number of "Spellbook" Spell Cards from your Deck to your hand, except "Divine Judgment of the Spellbooks", up to the number of Spell Cards activated this turn after this card was activated, then Special Summon 1 Spellcaster-Type monster from your Deck, whose Level is less than or equal to the number of cards you added to your hand this way. You can only activate 1 "Divine Judgment of the Spellbooks" per turn.

if I got £1 for everytime a ygo board discussed this fucking card I'd be an millionare.

tldr: It rewards you for throwing all your resources at your opponent and honestly is the biggest example of poor design I can give in a while.

Nah man, overextending is bad and it makes it so that you have to discard in the End Phase. This is fine design, things like Wind-Up Shark are the kind of bad design you should be hating on.

Oh, because a card that rewards you for blowing out all of your resources to gain more resources is totally good design. I don't feel it's as busted as everyone is saying, but "EP I ADD 6 CARDS TO MY HAND SUMMON HPoP" isn't really fair.

continue being sarcastic, it's funny.

Leaving sarcasm behind, it doesn't take much to realize this card equals a stupid amount of pluses, but truth be told, I have never used Spellbooks, so from my lack of experience I'd like to ask:

Isn't the guy from the video playing it a little too wastefully?

But doesnt every tier prophecy deck skip over temper and just use justice?

1) "Tier" Prophecy doesn't exist yet
2) All of the Lv3s can be run without harming consistency, since you have a boss monster that each one can grab, and 2 of them are beaters in their own right.

It won in the OCG a fair bit from what I recall. From what I recall, anyway. So it's already up there. :v
