“You’re a sweetheart you know that, but you are wrong about the not having enough money part. I have enough, so long as I’m conservative with it, I was just terribly careless, but thank you anyway.  That’s a really nice thing to do for your Togetic, you really are a such a nice person, I can’t think of a nicer guy I’ve meet in my life,” Vasi smiled at Rose, thankful for having such a nice travel partner.

-BAM!-

Heracross hit Rose dead center into his ribs, “Oh my God! Rose are you okay?!” Vasi panicked, “Heracross, why would you do that? Rose is a very nice boy, and he didn’t do anything to you, now apologize.” Vasi said in a stern, albeit somewhat whiney, tone.

-----

“Now!” Moira ordered and the grunt behind set off several explosions near wear Dialga was said to live. A few minutes passed and nothing emerged, and Moira wondered if she had been wrong.

-Diaaaaa!-

Nope. The Time Pokemon emerged from its nest in all its glory to engage its attackers. Dialga roared several more times, before finally initiating its attack launching several Flash Cannons wear the explosions had originated from,  but had not yet detected Leon and his team.

“Gotcha, activating device,” Moira pressed a few controls, and the device sprang to life, and octagon of purple spike spread out from a sphere similar  in color to Dialga, electricity spreading connecting the spikes. The first thing Dialga tried to do was move itself through time, but the machine detected this immediately, and latched onto Dialga effectively removing its best form of defense.

“Not this time you don’t. Alright Leon your in the clear make your move now, once you’ve weakened I’ll move in for the capture.”

Rose slowly stood, recovering from his fish-out-of-water-like breathlessness and ground-flopping. "I-I'm fine...Really..." he wheezed, trying to fake a smile for Vasi. He turned to Heracross, who was glaring at him intently. "Heracross...? What...? Why'd you do that...?"

Heracross shrugged, then shot a quick sideways glance at Vasi before returning her attention to Rose. Rose was puzzled at first, then quickly blushed. "Oh, I get it...I'm spending more time with her than I am with you, so you're jealous...I'm sorry, Heracross." Rose hugged Heracross, who went wide-eyed. Heracross shoved Rose away and tapped the button on her Pokéball, returning to the capsule as a red beam of energy.

Rose shook his head and stood up, brushing the dirt and plant debris off of his legs. "Best we get a move on to Gradnis now, right?" Rose started off down the path through Gradnis Forest, eager for his first Gym battle.

• • •

Rose gritted his teeth, a slight "Grrr..." escaping his lips. He looked at the two battling Pokémon—Heracross and Leafeon. Rose had misjudged Grovyle's strength and speed, resulting in a double KO for him and Togetic. Late in the battle against Leafeon, Heracross showed obvious signs of tiring. While Leafeon's attacks didn't do much damage to Heracross on their own, Leafeon's speed made their confrontation difficult. Heracross had yet to land a single attack.

"Leafeon, use Aerial Ace!" Shibi's command broke Rose from his thoughts. Leafeon got a running start before leaping into the air the leaf on its head began to glow white as white trails of energy streamed around its body. The Verdant Pokémon shot downward at Heracross at a breakneck pace.

No way we can dodge that...Might as well lean into the skid! Rose thought, a sly smile stretching across his face. "Heracross, toss it up into the air with Megahorn!" Heracross obliged and her horn began to glow with a silver light. She thrust her horn just under the trajectory of Leafeon's Aerial Ace, before flicking it upward and catching it dead in its stomach. Heracross threw Leafeon into the air before flying after it, anticipating her trainer's command. "Perfect! Follow it up with Seismic Toss!"

"Leafeon, use Endure!" Shibi called. Leafeon donned a faint red aura as Heracross caught it. The Single Horn Pokémon flew in multiple loops with the Eeveelution in its claws before finally rocketing toward the ground, throwing Leafeon into the ground before leveling off and coming to a stop.

Leafeon lie still on the ground for a few seconds, but slowly began to pick itself back up, no doubt near defeat. "Leafeon, use Dig!" Leafeon quickly burrowed beneath the ground. Heracross hovered in the air, waiting for Leafeon to re-emerge. "Now! Double-Edge!" Leafeon burst through the ground directly beneath Heracross, a pale yellow light trailing behind. Heracross was caught off-guard as Leafeon shot upward at her, but managed to dodge, barely evading what would have without a doubt been the finishing blow. Leafeon gracefully touched down on the ground, turning to face Heracross.

"Heracross! Let's finish this—Brick Break!" Heracross's right arm glowed bright white and the Single Horn Pokémon accelerated toward its opponent through the air, flying mere feet from the ground.

"Leafeon! Energy Ball!" Leafeon reared its head back and a green orb of energy formed in its mouth. Leafeon swung it's head forward, firing the Energy Ball at Heracross. Heracross responded by spinning around the attack, dodging it entirely. The Bug-type flew directly over Leafeon, delivering a midair spinning backhand blow to Leafeon's head, smashing it into the battlefield and making a small crater. There was no way it could have survived that attack.

The large screen over the battlefield changed. Leafeon's portrait went black as Rose's portrait grew and spun, finally occupying almost the entire screen, save for a large message across the bottom which read "Congratulations!"

Rose smiled, tightening his tie, which had almost come undone during the course of the battle.

Nathan sat in Judas's quarters. The whole place was rather sparse—Pale yellow walls, beige carpet, a beige couch, a coffee table, a door leading to the bedroom, and a breakfast nook and kitchen tucked away in the corner. No decorations, no paintings, not even a TV.

Finally, Judas emerged from the bedroom, tailed by his Zangoose. "You'll have to forgive Zangoose—He can't stand being in his Poké ball while we're home." The Cat Ferret Pokémon plodded along innocently before sitting on its haunches next to the couch. "Rectus should be here soon enough. We shall talk in length upon his arrival."

Arriving in Gradnis Vilage, with Silver in close Pursuit, Alex set off to find the gym, the only problem being that he didn't know where the gym was and that allowed Silver to catch up. The confuzzled look on Alex's face attracted one of the locals to ask "Can I help you with anything?" "We're looking for the Gradnis Village gym." Alex replied whilst looking. "Certainly, but only if you can defeat me in a battle." The kid said, bargaining with Alex. "You're on"

...

Cyndaquil took a big hit from Ivysaur's Vine Whip despite not being effective. It was clear too see that Ivyaur was at a higher level than Alex anticipated and Silver thought that with at power that Ivysaur could evolve into Venusaur soon. The kid said to Alex "If you can't beat me, what hope do you have against Shibi, our town's gym leader?" Suddenly Cyndaquil got itself back still able to fight, unfortunately Cyndaquil used a bit too much energy and fell in exhaustion and Alex lost. The kid walked up to him and thanked him for a great battle and then suggested that he relaxed by doing a spot of fishing down south. When Alex had gotten his fishing rod and left for the south, the kid showed Silver where the gym was to the north-east.

Alex
Getting his flat-pack fishing rod out, he wondered if he got a little bit too competitive during that battle. It seemed that he wanted to win at all costs and his desire for victory had backfired, so he decided to do a little training with both Seedot and Cyndaquil. However before he got a chance to train, his rod had been tugging signalling that a pokemon was on the line. Alex used his strength to pull the line back and a Corphish leapt out to attack.

...

Silver
A short while after getting his pokemon healed by Nurse Joy, Silver had arrived at the Gradnis Village gym which looked like a greenhouse, the only hints that it was a gym being the pokeball symbol on the top. Silver entered to be greeted by the gym attendant. "Hello, I would like to battle the gym leader." Silver got out his trainer ID upon sight of this the attendant nodded and asked him to follow. "Certainly, right this way." When they reached the central area of the greenhouse which was filled with lovely greenery, the lights turned on and Silver walked on to the grassy battlefield, to be greeted by the gym leader, Shibi.

The two combatants made their way to their respective boxes as the referee stepped onto a platform and raised red and white flags. "The Gym Battle between Shibi the gym leader and Silver the challenger will now begin. Each trainer will use 2 pokemon and the battle will be over when both pokemon on either side are unable to continue. In addition only the challenger may substitute pokemon. Now, battle begin!" As the referee lowered his flags, a LED scoreboard lit up.

"Go Grovyle!" Shibi called as a green gecko pokemon emerged from its pokeball in its battle stance. "Totodile, get out there!" Silver called as a small blue crocodile pokemon emerged from its pokeball. "Using a water-type, that's bold of you, Grovyle, leaf blade!"...

...

Alex
Firing a barrage of bullet seeds at the wild Corphish, Corphish tried to be resilient and block the attacks but eventually it got too much and Corphish got knocked for six, Alex then proceeded to throw the pokeball and after a few shakes, Corphish was caught. Alex picked up the pokeball then congratulated Seedot. "Well done Seedot, you've really increased the power of your bullet seed, I'm proud of you."

...

Silver
Grovyle lunged at Totodile with a powerful looking Leaf Blade whilst Silver called to a tired-looking Totodile to use Ice Punch, and when both attacks collided, the resulting shockwave had knocked both pokemon out.

"Both Grovyle and Totodile are unable to continue." Both Grovyle's and Totodile's faces on the scoreboard went blank as both trainers prepped their final pokemon. "Go Leafeon!" Shibi called whilst Silver called out "Starly get out there!"

~#~#~

It looked as if the battle was hitting the home stretch as both Starly and Leafeon had reached their limit, Shibi was impressed that this kid had come in with unevolved pokemon and showing him a great fight. "Leafeon, Swords Dance then finish it with Leaf Blade!" Leafeon reared back as the sprout on its forehead grew larger and moved around briefly before glowing green and lunging towards Starly.
"We'll have to go for broke, Starly Aerial Ace!" Starly flew backwards preparing to dive towards Leafeon with as much speed as it can muster becoming streamlined, being surrounded by white streaks as both attacks prepared to collide. The adrenaline was flowing in both Silver and Shibi as the result of the collision between the Leaf Blade and Aerial Ace caused an explosion that knocked both Starly and Leafeon back.

The referee almost declared both as being unable to continue, suddenly Leafeon tried getting up but ultimately fell to the ground, unable to continue. At that moment, Starly got up breathing heavily as the referee announced. "Leafeon is unable to battle, Starly wins and so the victor is Silver the challenger!" Leafeon's face on the scoreboard went black as Silver's portrait grew larger and the word congratulations was written along the bottom. As Silver went towards Starly to congratulate it, the whole of Starly's body glowed blue as it grew larger resulting in Starly's evolution into Staravia.

Shibi walked towards Silver to present him with his Flora Badge. "Congrats challenger, I present you with the Flora Badge." Silver accepted the badge, bowed to Shibi, thanked him and left the gym for the pokemon center.

... The Next Day ...

Alex
Despite losing Seedot early on in the fight against Shibi's Grovyle, Alex's Cyndaquil certainly had a hill to climb if Alex was to win the badge. It wasn't long before Alex outsmarted the faster opponent by surrounding it with a ring of fire giving Alex the opportunity to knock it out.

Having sustained some damage against Grovyle, Cyndaquil still had it all to do with Leafeon, with both combatants exchanging blows swiftly, although Leafeon still had the advantage in more ways than one.

With Leafeon's power pumped up by multiple Swords Dances, Shibi was ready to finish Cyndaquil with one final blow. "Leafeon, finish with Leaf Blade!" "Cyndaquil stand your ground!" Both Shibi and Silver was shocked that Cyndaquil is refusing to dodge the attack, although Alex is confident that he can strike the finishing blow up close, and Leafeon struck Cyndaquil with a high powered Leaf Blade knocking Cyndaquil back further than Leafeon. As it looked as Cyndaquil was unable to battle, Cyndaquil struggled hard to get up as its flame grew larger than usual. "Yes! Blaze is active!" Alex shouted as Cyndaquil's fire moves are more powerful. "Now, use Flamethrower!" Cyndquil fired a sweltering hot stream of flames towards a frightened Leafeon who ended up unable to battle after the attack.

"Leafeon is unable to battle, Cyndaquil wins and so the victor is Alex the challenger!" Leafeon's face on the scoreboard went black as Alex's portrait grew larger and the word congratulations was written along the bottom. Shibi handed Alex the Flora badge congratulating him on a hard fought battle. Alex accepted the badge and immediately headed for the pokemon center with Silver in hot pursuit.

Shortly after making his way out of the Sand Citadel, Caden arrived at Terramean City, where he immediately stopped by the Pokemon Center to rest up his Pokemon. After having them treated and returned from Nurse Joy, Caden hastily exited the building, heading for the Terramean City Gym, which, from the outside, looked far more like a cave in a hill than a building. He entered, walking through a long, dimly-lit hallway before coming to an inner room where the gym attendant sat. He quickly introduced himself to the gym attendant before being led to the battlefield.

Upon Caden's arrival at the arena, which turned out to be not much more than a rocky clearing, a somewhat tall man carrying a shovel greeted him, introducing himself as the Terramean City gym leader, Randy. Before long, their battle had started. "This match between the Terramean City gym leader, Randy, and the challenger, Caden, will now be underway! Each trainer will be allowed three Pokemon - however, only the challenger is permitted substitutions!" the referee called, as Randy placed three Pokeballs on the ground at his feet. He chuckled before brandishing his shovel - he raised it, then swung it like a golf club, accurately knocking one of his Pokeballs onto the battlefield. The Pokeball opened, emitting the familiar white glow before taking the form of the mole Pokemon, Dugtrio. Caden removed a Pokeball from his bag and hurled it onto the battlefield, the white glow taking the form of Elekid. "Now, with both trainers having called out their first Pokemon, let the battle begin!" the referee announced as the scoreboard above him lit up, depicting the portraits of Dugtrio and Elekid on opposite sides, with a neon-colored "VS" between them.

"Dugtrio, start your assault with Tri-Attack!" Randy commanded, extending his shovel outwards. The three-headed mole let out a grunt before each head began firing a differently-colored sphere of elemental energy - one of them red-colored, one yellow-colored, and the remaining one blue-colored. The three spheres collided with each other, creating a blast of immense power. Elekid, however, did not move - instead, it stood strong grinning as the attack headed towards it. Caden nodded as the Tri-Attack made what seemed to be a direct hit on the stationary Electric-type Pokemon, causing a small explosion on the battlefield.

When the smoke from the explosion finally began to settle, Randy fully expected to see a defeated Elekid. But instead, he looked in disbelief as what was formerly an Elekid stepped out of the remnants of the explosion and let out a huge roar. "Electabuzz, use Ice Punch," Caden called, a slight, sly smile forming on his face. In a split second, the newly-evolved electric Pokemon had jumped behind Dugtrio's back, brandishing a fist of bluish-white energy, which it then proceeded to slam into the mole Pokemon.

The panting Larvitar's head glowed a silver color, signaling the use of Iron Head, before crashing into the opposing Sandslash. The attack knocked both Pokemon back with Larvitar falling on both knees, but the Sandslash had sustained was a tad too much for it, causing it to collapse. Randy sighed as he returned his Pokemon to its Pokeball, and Caden, seeing that Larvitar wouldn't be able to handle another Pokemon, did the same.

Randy whacked his third Pokeball onto the battlefield, revealing a Steelix, which Caden countered by sending in his Glaceon. The electronic scoreboard now depicted the portraits of these two Pokemon, prompting the start of the battle. "Steelix, your turn to use Iron Head!" Randy exclaimed as Steelix's head glowed, shooting towards Caden's Glaceon. However, without even a command, Glaceon effortlessly jumped out of the way and leapt high into the air. "Now Glaceon, strike it on the head with Aqua Tail!" Caden ordered as Glaceon somersaulted in midair, its tail glowing a brilliant blue color. It spun, then smacked its tail down hard on Steelix's head. Steelix roared angrily as it tried to shake off the damage.

~ ~ ~

Nearing the end of the battle, Steelix glared at Glaceon, obviously worn out, while Glaceon continued to stand strong. "Steelix, use your strongest Iron Tail!" Randy called in desperation as Steelix obliged, raising its glowing tail up high. "Glaceon, let's end it now - use Aqua Force," Caden called as Glaceon leapt up, avoiding Steelix's attack. "Glaa-ceeeon!" the blue, fox-like Pokemon called as it fired off a blue orb - a Water Pulse - at the opposing Steelix. However, it wasn't finished yet - Glaceon proceeded to somersault in the air, its tail glowing blue once again before smashing it into the Water Pulse. The blue sphere burst open and shot at Steelix with what looked like small, countless blades of water. Steelix fell, having been knocked out.

"Steelix is unable to battle! Glaceon wins. And with that, the winner of this match is the challenger, Caden!" The referee called, signifying the end of the battle. On the electronic scoreboard, the portrait of Steelix blacked out and was knocked aside, with Glaceon's portrait being replaced with an image of Caden, the word "Winner" sliding out from the side. Randy returned his Steelix, smiled, then approached Caden, handing him his second badge, the Tunnel Badge. Caden accepted it, thanked Randy, then left again for the Pokemon Center to rest up.

Once his Pokemon were fully healed, Caden left the Pokemon Center and decided to head back towards Alluvium Desert to explore a little more before heading off to the Levia Bridge and Flamvius Town.

Salamence began its descent to Evraflow City, successfully landing outside of Judas' quarters. "Thanks, Salamence," Rectus smiled as Salamence nuzzled its head against him before returning it to its Pokeball. He opened the door to Judas' quarters and entered. "My apologies for being late. And for that matter, thanks for inviting Nathan in, Judas" he commented before turning to Nathan. "As for you - how have you been? I believe two years have passed since we last saw each other," Rectus smiled as he took a seat next to Nathan, giving him a friendly pat on the shoulder.

"You weren't meant to start the machine yet; we haven't even got to our part of the plan," Leon mentioned, before cutting the radio off and initiating radio silence.

It seemed to be just in time as well. At this time, Isabella was just heading towards the Barren Colosseum in the squadron's direction. The squadron had just been hiding around the walls of the Colosseum the whole time, so as Isabella finally arrived, Leon gave the signal for them to move in and make the capture. It was a clean kidnap that the squadron made on Isabella. No unnecessary brute force or anything. Now, it was just a matter of contacting Stellar.

...

Stellar, meanwhile, had just arrived at the Frigid Fields, and was watching Kyurem go about its way when she realized something; Team Draconius obviously hadn't followed up on their original plan, otherwise they would've been here already. Did they realize that Stellar overheard their plan, and change it accordingly? Suddenly, a strangely familiar face in Leon's appeared on Stellar's X-transceiver. She responded.

"Oh hey, I remember you; you're that guy I fought in the semi-finals," Stellar remarked, "So how'd you get my number anyway?"

"That doesn't matter right now," Leon stated with a smug smile on his face, "What's more important is that we have one of your own, and if you value her l-,"

"Damn it," Stellar intervened with a curse, "You've got Isabella, haven't you?"

"Why... yes we have," Leon answered in a matter-of-factly tone, "Now, as I was saying: We need you to help us capture Dialga, and we've captured your beloved Isabella here to use as leverage in case you try anything. So... I suggest you get your pretty butt over here before something happens to her,"

"Fine, but if she gets hurt, then I'll kill you all myself," Stellar scoffed, before flicking the X-transceiver off and turning to Skarmory, "Right, we've gotta go to Barren Colosseum now, apparently. And if you happen to see Dialga, try to get behind it, but don't move in to attack."

Heeding these instructions, Skarmory took off with Stellar in tow.

Desu
Slowly moving down from Lavralyn Volcano and using his state of the art binoculars, Desu was keeping an eye on the action going down at Barren Colosseum. "What's going on down there?" he mused fairly quitely as he was trying to get a clear look at what's going on whilst avoiding detection, then he saw as Isabella was captured by Team Draconius. "Oh no, they got Isabella!" He said as he knew that there was nothing he could do.

...

Silver and Alex
Leaving Gradnis Village, Silver turned to his Cygrus Manual to find where they should go next. "Well Alex, we should head for Terramean City next and that is past the Alluvium Desert." Alex ignored him however and went straight on, Silver sighed as he got out all of his pokemon, along with some Vitamins. The sound of Silver going through his bag had gotten Alex's attention. "What are you doing?" "I'm giving my pokemon a vitamin drink to increase their offensive or defensive capabilities, and before you ask, no you can't have any."

Alex shrugged his shoulders as he saw a wild Shinx walking towards one of the vitamin drinks on the floor, instead of saying anything because he made the same mistake in Gradnis Forest, he just sat there, though it wasn't long before Silver noticed getting a pokeball ready. "Hey what are you doing?" Silver said in an annoyed tone, then he smirked as he realised that since the Shinx likes his vitamin drinks then it go come along with him. "Ok Shinx, you're mine!" The pokeball had hit Shinx with the little cub-like pokemon being engulfed in a red light, the pokeball shook twice before releasing Shinx back out. "Ok, we'll have to weaken it, Totodile, use Ice punch!"

The wild Shinx had leapt out of the way whilst the ground below Totodile froze from the Ice Punch. "Wait until Shinx is close and then use Ice Punch!" Totodile waited as the Shinx charged towards Totodile with blue electricity surrounding its body, Totodile's fist became frozen and just as Shinx Struck Totodile, both Spark and Ice Punch collided, knocking both pokemon back. "Go pokeball!" Silver shouted as the pokeball hit Shinx and shook once... twice... a third time, all the time sweat was flowing down Silver's face as sparkles surrounded the pokeball, signalling Shinx's capture.

Unfortunately for Silver, whilst he was battling Shinx, Alex had gotten ahead of him agin. "Why does he do this all the time?" Silver thought as he returned his pokemon to their pokeballs, packed his vitamin drinks and went off after Alex.

...

Waiting at the foot of Alluvium Desert, Alex turned his head as Silver had caught him up. "Took you long enough." Alex said as he was eyeing the sandstorm. "Looks like we'll need our GO-GOGGLES." Silver replied as both of the boys didn't want to go in unprotected. The boys got out their GO-GOGGLES, put them on and then Silver took the time to comment. "Heh, we now look like lame super heroes." Alex smirked in agreement as they prepared to walk into the desert.

Rose watched Vasi's battle from the sidelines, cheering quietly alongside Togetic. Finally, as Vasi dealt the finishing blow to Shibi's last Pokémon, Rose stood up, clapping. "Woohoo, great job, Vasi!" Rose blushed as he realized he was the loudest thing in the gym, and so he sat back down, a pleased grin lighting up his face. "Congrats, Vasi! That was such a great battle!" Finally, he left the Gym with her to escort her to the Pokémon Center.

• • •

Rose had thrown on a ragged cloak and a pair of goggles that his father had put in his pack. The cloak billowed around him in the shearing winds of the sandstorm, and any part of his skin that was exposed was stinging and chaffed. As he walked alongside Vasi, he noticed something peculiar: A large pit in the desert sand, with enormous sun-bleached rib bones jutting into the air around it. There was a faint buzzing that could be heard from inside, along with a deep rumbling every now and then. "Vasi, I think I'm going to investigate this...You can choose to wait out here or just inside the entrance, or even come inside. I don't know what's in there, and I don't want you to get hurt..." And with that, Rose ventured into the pit, sending out Togetic as soon as they were clear of the sandstorm, so he could provide light for their journey.

• • •

Togetic illuminated the dark cavern with Flamethrower, making a path back for them by melting the sand into glass. The glass pathway reflected the light from the entrance, allowing them to see behind them as well. As they walked, the buzzing and rumbling grew louder and louder. Finally, they could see the cavern opened into a large chamber, with a floor far beneath where they stood even now. Togetic's Flamethrower couldn't illuminate the bottom of the chamber, it was so vast. The buzzing was nearly deafening at this point, and they could tell the rumbling was a Pokémon's roar. Rose turned to Togetic. "Use Flamethrower along the edge of the pit, then use Flash to light up the whole thing."

Togetic nodded. Togetic let loose a steam of red and orange flame from his mouth, burning a large swath of the pit's walls into glass. Togetic then let loose a brilliant white light from its body, illuminating the chamber. The light reflected off the glass, further increasing their vision. What they saw astonished them.

In the deep pit below was a teeming swarm of Nincada, Ninjask, Shedinja, Trapinch, Vibrava, Paras, Parasect, and Golbat. That was the source of the buzzing, and also a faint clicking that Rose began to notice. The roars, however, came from the bottom of the pit, where a large dark mass would occasionally writhe and heave. It was bigger than any Pokémon Rose had encountered, aside from a Wailord. This monstrosity, despite its dark and ragged appearance, had a sort of otherworldly sheen to it. Finally, its head rose into view, and flames spewed forth from its maw. Th-That's...A Hydreigon...! It's huge...!! Rose turned to Togetic, who had a concerned expression on his face.

Rose understood what was happening. This old Hydreigon was on its last legs, and these Pokémon had come to bide their time and wait for it to die, before having the grandest feast of all time. Rise shook his head in disgust. He nodded to Togetic again, and the Happiness Pokémon nodded back. Togetic launched a massive Thunder Wave into the pit, lighting up most of the Pokémon with blue electricity, including Hydreigon. Each Pokémon hit by the Thunder Wave collapsed immediately, electricity coursing through their bodies. The ones who were not affected were greatly agitated, and they started launching attacks blindly in all directions, shaking the pit.

"Togetic, quickly! Use Substitute, then use Trick to swap the Substitute with Hydreigon!" Rose ran back a ways to make room for the immense Dragon-type. Togetic glowed white and disappeared in a flash of light, a dull, grey-tinted copy in its stead. Then, the copy vanished in a puff of white smoke, and smoke surrounded Hydreigon as well. There was an audible THUD as the massive Pokémon appeared in front of Rose, limp and covered in arcing electricity. Togetic reappeared next to them as the Pokémon in the pit below examined the false Togetic in the place where their feast had once lain.

Rose crouched next to the Brutal Pokémon, examining it. It was in pain, no doubt. It's eyes were squeezed shut to fight against the agony. There were numerous gashes and scars covering its body, and the black portion of its body was ragged and longer than it would be on another Hydreigon. The beast's skin was green as opposed to the standard blue, and it had a slight shine to it when the light hit it. The most notable thing was once again it's size—The Hydreigon was at least one and a half times the size of any others of its species. It was no doubt unique, and extremely old. Rose gently stroked its scaly skin, and a low growl escaped its throat.

"It looks like there's only one way to get this one out of here..." Rose reached into his pack and pulled out the Luxury Ball his mom had packed. He tapped it gently on the Hydreigon's nose, and it was absorbed in a flash of red, sparkling light. The ball only rocked once before it stopped and chimed, releasing sparks. "Poor thing...So weak...C'mon, Togetic, we should get out of here." And with that, they followed the trail of glass, leaving the colony of ravenous Pokémon behind.

• • •

Rose panted as he collapsed in the sand outside the pit with Togetic. "Oh my god...I just realized how stale the air was down there...I'm so glad we're outside again." He looked up at Vasi, too busy inhaling to ask her how she was doing.

(Will add Judas and Nathan tomorrow; this post was long as he'll already.)

“Oh well that’s good, we don’t want you to be hurt during your Gym Battle.” Vasi smiled down at Rose, “Oh, Heracross is jealous? Aww… that’s so cute!” Vasi giggled, in an utterly childish manner. “Yeah your right we should probably get out of here especially if we want to face the Gym before it gets dark, or well if you want to face the Gym before it gets dark, I can face it tomorrow.” Not long after that the pair exited Grandis Forest and were in the small village. “We’re finally here, you ready?”

In the next hour they were at the Gym Vasi on the edge of her seat, watching intently cheering her friend on. Now in normal Pokemon fashion she, and all of her Pokemon, would be wearing a cheerleader’s outfit, but unfortunately the costume department had to send the Gym Cheerleader outfit in for dry cleaning, so next time boys. Both sides were down to their last two Pokemon, but the Leader, Shibi, seemed to have the upper hand. Leafeon used Ariel Ace, and Vasi was sure it was over, but Heracross used Leafeon’s momentum against it, and like that the momentum of the battle changed instantly. It was brilliant to watch Rose and Heracross. “It’s truly breathtaking,” Vasi whispered softly to herself, mesmerized.

Just like that though it was over, Heracross’ Brick Break clinching the match, and he won his hard earned Gym Badge. “Yeah! Great job, Rose!” Vasi stood up and cheered giving him a standing ovation.

-THE NEXT DAY-

Vasi walked into the Gym well rested and confident, her team consisted of two Bug Pokemon, which would certainly have the advantage against Shibi’s Grass-Types, except she would have to watch out for Leafeon’s Ariel Ace.  As she walked into the Gym she was led by the attendant, and toke her place on the Battle Field.

“You’re the girl from yesterday, right? Oh yeah you’re the peppy one,” Shibi chuckled sending out his Grovyle, while Vasi chose Spinarak.

“The battle between the Grandis Village Gym Leader, Shibi, and the Challenger, Vasilissa, will now begin!”

“Oh man I wish he would have just said Vasi…” a comical little anime drop appearing on her forehead.

“Don’t get distracted, or your opponent will beat you before you can even start! Grovyle Leaf Blade!” Shibi called out, taking an advantage at Vasi being distracted. Grovyle’s speed was amazing, and before Vasi could even call out a command Grovyle had delivered its attack.

“Damn, alright Spinarak Poison Sting!” Vasi called out, the small spider Pokemon firing small purple darts, but Grovyle easily dodged.

~~~
The battle had been taking a downward turn for Vasi, and Spinarak was at its limit, despite its type advantage the pair had not succeeded in doing a single bit of damage to Grovyle, “C’mon is this all you got? If you can’t do better how do you think you’ll fare against the other Gym Leaders?” Vasi remained silent at Shibi’s shot at her, but it was true. How could she possibly have a chance at victory if she couldn’t even beat the first Gym Leader with a type advantage. “Fine then… Grovyle Leaf Blade, finish this.”
An opening, just like Rose she could use Grovyle’s speed to her advantage, “Spinarak, String Shot at Grovyle’s legs!” Spinarak did as ordered, the webbing causing Grovyle to trip, and face plant. “Spinarak use Night Shade, then Leech Life!” Dark energy circled Spinarak, until it reached its peak causing the image of a monstrous spider to appear, frightening Grovyle as well as Vasi. Spinarak then fired a small dart attached to webbing draining some of Grovyle’s HP. “Now Spinarak Poison Sting!”
-RIP!-
Grovyle cut through its bonds, and came charging at Spinarak with a Leaf Blade, and though it was still hit by the Poison Sting, the attack connected. “Good job Grovyle! So, you still have some fight left in you after all, good to know, but don’t count us out yet either!” Shibi said smirking across at Vasi.
~~~

Grovyle collapsed exhaustion, poison, and Health Drain had worn the Tree Gecko Pokemon. Spinarak however had succeeded in regain some of its health back, and was ready when Shibi sent our Leafeon. “Leafeon attack with Ariel Ace! We’ll finish them quick!”

Venonat panted with exhaustion, as Vasi gritted her teeth. Leafeon had sustained on a little damage from Spinarak, and had easily taken it out with a well-placed Ariel Ace, but Venonat had done a little better, but Vasi knew they were lucky to still be going after being hit by two Ariel Aces. “I think we’re just about done here, what about you Leafeon,” Shibi asked his Pokemon, who nodded in response, “Well then, Ariel Ace finish this baby off!”  Vasi knew Venonat couldn’t take another hit like that.

“Venonat, wait till it gets close then Signal Beam,” Vasi shouted, and at the last second Venonat fired its Signal Beam blasting its opponent dead center in its face, causing it to fall skidding across the battle field. Venonat hopped with joy, “Now, go for a Stun Spore!” Venonat shook itself, and small pieces of yellow powder came out, falling on Leafeon immobilizing it. Unfortunately it didn’t need to move to send a Magical Leaf flying at Leafeon, knocking Venonat on to its back. The referee was raising his arm, to declare Shibi the winner, when a white light enveloped Venonat.

When the white light disappeared in Venonat’s place was a beautiful purple moth-like Pokemon, “Venonat you evolved!” Vasi was ecstatic, “Take to the skies my Venomoth, show them whose boss with Gust!” A large heavy wind blew from Venomoth knowing Leafeon from wear it lay into the wall effectively knocking it out.  “Oh my God! Is your Leafeon OK!?” Vasi freaked out at the force of the attack, as did Venomoth obviously not knowing its own strength.

“Yeah, she’ll be fine, my Leafeon’s a tough one,” Shibi chuckled as he went over to Leafeon, and patted its head. Leafeon stood up slowly and shook its head obviously disoriented, although it let out a reassuring pur letting everyone know it alright. “Take a nice rest for now, and we’ll get you to the Pokemon Center later ‘kay?” Shibi said returning Leafeon to its Pokeball. Standing up Shibi toke off his hat and mussed his hair, “Woah… defeated 5 times in two days, you newbies are gonna run me out of a job,” Shibi said chuckling a little, “Well in honor of your victory of the Grandis Gym, I proudly present you the Flora Badge.”

“Thank you,” Vasi said humbly, then she turned to Rose “Thank you, we should probably head to the Pokemon Center, and then we can get a move on to the next town.”

-THE NEXT DAY-

Putting on a cloak with the color of sand paper, goggles, and other various pieces of clothing to cover their skin Vasi and Rose ventured into the Alluvium Dessert, and it wasn’t long before they came across something peculiar, a pit that Rose said he wanted to check out.

“Oh, that’s okay I’ll be fine, but thank you for the concern,” Vasi said following Rose into the pit she admired the beauty of sand after Togetic had turned to it to glass. That beauty quickly vanished when she saw the horror occurring in the pit, a variety of Pokemon surrounded an obviously ancient and dying Hydreigon. Vasi sucked in a sharp breath, and covered her mouth, a small tear escaping her at the horror show rolling in front of her eyes. Thankfully Rose was able to save it, and capture it, but the amazing event was overshadowed, for Vasi at least, by the cruelty the other Pokemon had shown.

When the exited the pit, Vasi retched, but not because of the air, but because of the scene. How could Pokemon do that to each other it was terrible!

To say Issabella was having a bad day was an understatement, first she had had blisters on her feet from walking around all day in heels, and she had been sweating from the immense amount of heat in the area.  Now having decided to venture to the Barren Coliseum, she had been captured by Team Draconius. Needless to say the Psychic Elite Four was quite indignant, less at the fact that she was captured, but more at the fact that she would tardy making dinner. She had attempted to fight, but well the only person who can possibly put up a fight in heels and a dress is Ada Wong, and needless to say Issabella was not Ada Wong.

“Well, how rude. You people are such brutes tying me up like this, no wonder they call you Team Draconius, you’re manners are draconian!” Annoyed at her constant string of yapping one of the grunts stuffed her mouth with a gag, to keep Dialga from noticing them. Of course the operation wasn’t going to well anyways. Commander Von Shroder had already cocked things up by luring Dialga out to early, not to mention the fact that the Time Pokemon was ticked and rampaging around the place causing a whole ruckus. The plan had been to wait for the Elite Four to show up, and have them weaken it, but obviously for the big brain of hers she wasn’t clued in on the plan.

Issabella’s eyes widen when she heard Stellar’s voice, and made a few muffled noises through the gag, not wanting the young girl to stake her life on the line for hers. As Stellar hung up Issabella knew her efforts had been futile, and sighed. Look at the trouble she had gone and caused.

-----

“Ooops… sorry I guess I forgot that part. My bad, you can improvise right?” Moira said through the mic, her acting was perfect as she faked activating the machine early. Moira cut the radio annoyed at the Elite Four woman’s incessant yapping… God some people could just get on her nerves. Moira smirked, and put the helicopter on autopilot, heading over to another station and inserting a thumb drive. Well things might not be going according to the official plan, but hers they were going just fine, at the moment her machine was transmitting data to the console, and soon she would have collected more data on Dialga than any known Pokemon Professor in the world.

Why was she doing this? Well one was to further Team Draconuis’ goals, if she could analyze the Pokemon she might be able to locate Arceus who had alluded her view, which Moira didn’t take to kindly to, as a researcher it was a pain not knowing things. Another purely for knowledge’s sake, she was analyzing the Time Pokemon, as it was connected Arceus she might be able to find out more about the origins of their world. The most important piece of data though was for her own personal gain, with Dialga’s DNA she could clone the Pokemon, and with that who knew what infinite possibilities could come, well first and foremost creating an army came to mind, and using the Dialga clone as a time machine wasn’t a bad idea either.

Sitting at the console seat Moira chuckled, “I am a genius.”

It took Skarmory and Stellar a while to fly all the way to the Barren Colosseum, but once she got there, she could see everything. The grunts were just standing there with a gagged and tied Isabella, keeping an eye out for anyone that would be brave enough to try and rescue her. Then there was Moira in the helicopter; Stellar couldn't tell what she was doing there, but one quick glance at Dialga made her get her priorities straight. A strange machine had been attached to Dialga's back, suppressing its powers and giving it a hard time against the Chandelure that Leon had sent out against it. As it was instructed earlier, Skarmory approached Dialga from behind, which was just as well seeing that Chandelure was attacking it head on. Stellar needed a minute to strategize; not against Dialga, but against Leon.

"Lucario, I choose you," Stellar pressed the button of one of her Pokeballs as she said this.

Lucario wasn't too happy about what it was seeing, and growled as it was summoned, which was unusual of it. But after a little pep talk from Stellar, it nodded in acknowledgement, and begrudgingly set of as what appeared to be an aid to Chandelure's endeavour. But Lucario itself had other ideas.

...

"That's what happens with time restraints," Leon told Isabella in an uncaring tone, "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to see to this Dialga,"

With that, he left for the Colosseum itself, leaving the rest of the squadron to keep an eye on Isabella. There were still 12 of the grunts there, so there were more than enough eyes on hand to keep the situation under control according to normal expectations. Then again, Murphy's Law was just around the corner for them...

Undeterred, Leon sent out Chandelure to deal with the enraged Dialga. It started off with a Fire Spin to suppress Dialga's movement even further, before unleashing a Curse and an Inferno as well. At this time, Stellar had arrived, with Lucario appearing to join in the fray. Interestingly, Lucario opted for jumping onto Dialga's back and using a Psychic attack. However, it wasn't trying to attack Dialga. Instead, it was trying to overload the circuitries of the machine on its back.

"Chandelure, stop that thing!" Leon commanded.

Chandelure scratched its head. It had thought Lucario was its ally, and couldn't understand why Leon would make such a rash order. But it shrugged its shoulders and moved into position behind Lucario, taking the time to make a few visual checks while the Aura Pokemon had its back turned.

Rose put his arm around Vasi gently, trying to comfort her after seeing her vomit on the sand. "Hey, hey...It's okay. C'mon, we'll get to Terramean, get Hydreigon into the Pokémon Center, and you can get some rest." Rose placed his hand on her cheek gently and turned her to face him. He smiled, his face red. "Let's hurry there, okay? We can train out here later if you want." With that, Rose took Vasi's wrist and pulled her along as he jogged through the sweltering desert toward Terramean City in the distance.

• • •

Rose paced the Pokémon Center, awaiting the results of the tests being run on Hydreigon. Finally, a dark-haired, dark-skinned doctor came in and motioned for him to come outside with him. "You're Rosencrantz Blackwood?" the doctor said, exasperated. "That Hydreigon...There is a legend here in Terramean about the Queen of the Desert. The legend says that a man ventured into the desert with nothing but his Pokémon. As he trekked, he came across a pit in the desert sand...He descended into the pit, and found a network of subterranean caves. As he reached the end, he found a massive black and green three-headed dragon, one that was larger than any he'd ever seen before. He left, and as he set up camp for the night at an oasis, that monstrous dragon swallowed the moon and whisked away his prized Wailord and Steelix. He found his way back to the pit the next morning, and he saw the beast sleeping once again..." The doctor shook his head. "I refuse to treat such a monster any further! It may stay here until morning, but I want it out as soon as possible!" The doctor was fuming now.

Rose clenched his fists. "Fine. That's fine." He stormed off into the large oasis-type enclosure set aside for large injured Pokémon that Hydreigon was being kept in. Rose walked in and smiled at Hydreigon, who was curled up on the ground. The Brutal Pokémon picked up her middle head and growled softly. Rose walked over and petted the Dragon-type's hide gently. Hydreigon snapped at him, and Rose backed away. "Hey...I'm just trying to be friendly..." Rose walked forward again. He rubbed Hydreigon's nose, and she growled, but didn't try to harm him. Rose held Hydreigon's neck in his arms and laid his head against her shoulder before drifting off to sleep.

{THE NEXT DAY}

Rose woke early the next morning and put the sleeping Hydreigon in her ball. He left a note on top of Vasi's bag, telling her he went out to the desert to train some more.

As Rose walked through the desert, he caught sight of another trainer (Caden). "Hey! You there!" Rose called to the trainer. "Would you mind helping me train for the Terramean Gym? I want to test out my new Pokémon."

{MEANWHILE}

Nathan Azure smiled. "Well well, if it isn't Corey Slade! It's been a while since we met in the Silver Conference." Nathan laughed. "So, now that we are all gathered here together, it's time we talk about what I wished to address to you—There are rumors of two crime syndicated here in Cygrus, and—"

"Draconius and Nebulus. We know," Judas cut in. "We are keeping a close eye on Draconius's activities, and Nebulus is just as you said—A rumor. There is no evidence of that organization here." Judas smiled. It was an odd sight—It was twisted and crooked, as though Judas didn't know how to smile properly, or he was in a lot of pain. "If that is all, I suggest you take your leave. I'm sorry that nothing came of this."

Nathan sighed. "Right. I should've known..." He turned to Rectus. "Hey, is that position for the exhibition match against you before the Evraflow conference still open? I think my schedule just opened up for the next year." Nathan laughed sheepishly before leaving.

Vasi let Rose guide her rest of the way, and when they got to the Pokemon Center Vasi was just going through the motions unpacking in the boarding room they had been assigned.  She ventured out into the lobby just in time to hear the tail end of Rose’s conversation with the doctor. “B****, someone like that has no right to be a caregiver. The Nurse Joys back home would take care of any Pokemon no matter what legends surrounded it she’s a disgrace,” Vasi hissed, her tone was unusually harsh, compared to her normally sweet, happy-go-lucky tone.

Before either of the two people saw her she stormed out of the main lobby, and returned to the Rose and she were staying in for the night. She flopped down onto the bed, and cried into the pillow. How could people possibly be so terrible, first the Pokemon, now the nurse. Vasi was learning that the world was much harsher than she had originally thought.

-THE NEXT DAY-

Vasi awoke to find a note on her bag from Rose saying that he was going to be out for the day. Vasi herself had some plans for the day, which started by going into the diner of the Pokemon Center. In the diner she sat in the booth with a depressed look absently staring at her menu.

From the window of the Pokemon Center a small Grass Gecko Pokemon was suctioned cupped to the wall intently watching the girl who had tried to capture it in the Grandis Forest.

-----

Issabella muttered something about having all the time in the world with Dialga right there, through her gag, but it fell upon deaf ears. The grunts were keeping her surrounded making sure that she couldn’t escape, and nobody could rescue her. When Issabella saw Lucario hop onto Dialga’s back she knew Stellar must’ve complied to their demands, but tilted her head in confusion when Lucario used Psychic on Dialga’s back. Only when Leon ordered Chandelure to attack Lucario did she get what Lucario was attempting, it was trying to overload the machine.

-----

Everything was going according to plan, and the device was a minute from being done, when the screen flickered. “What the hell,” Moira muttered, and returned to the cockpit to check the battle field, and noticed a Lucario using Psychic on HER MACHINE!

Great! Now she had to reset the console, or it would be stuck in the middle of download, not to mention who knows how long until that Lucario stopped the machine’s data transmition altogether. Working quickly Moira reset the console, which continued the download, but she couldn’t risk that it would mess up her machine again.

Returning to the communications console she contacted Leon, “Are you inept at handling things down there? Get that godd*** thing off my machine!” Moira hissed.

A voice startled Caden as he was trekking through the desert. He turned around, quickly identifying the voice that had called out to him. He glanced at the boy confronting him for a moment, then quickly recognized him as one of the new trainers he had met earlier in Greenvine Town.

"Oh, you're the one I bumped into at the reception desks when we first arrived. My apologies - I forgot to introduce myself back then" he mused, sheepishly. "Caden Azure, it's a pleasure to meet you" he said, smiling as he extended his hand. "I have to say I'm impressed - you seem quite determined, seeing how you're awake training at six in the morning" he chuckled softly. "And, to answer your question - sure, I would be happy to train with you" he responded with a gentle grin before taking several steps backwards to make room in between them for the battlefield.

~ ~ ~

Rectus glanced at Nathan uncomfortably as Judas attempted to indirectly kick them out of his quarters. To his relief, Nathan didn't quite seem bothered by this maneuver. As Rectus stood up, a question from Nathan offered him a pleasant surprise.

"Oh, really - is that so?" Rectus smiled as Nathan got up to leave. "Why, of course it is - And as you know, there isn't anybody else I'd rather have. Consider the position yours" he responded happily as he turned towards the door, preparing to leave as well. "As for Team Draconius, you can leave that to us; this is our region, and I can assure you that we'll do everything we can to stop them. But you can always consider my offer to join the Cygrus Stealth Union, of course," he joked as he began making his way to the exit. "Oh, and on another note, good luck to your brother" he added, quickly turning back.

*OOC: This post was a collaboration between me and Dharc (mostly his efforts, though)

Rose's eyes went wide. "C-Caden A-A-Azure?!" Rose shook his idol's hand vigorously. "Oh my god! I get to battle you!" Rose shook his head from side to side. "Sorry, sorry...My name is Rose Blackwood." Rose backpedaled to clear room for a battlefield, and he noticed the sandstorm dying down.

Caden let out a small giggle in response to Rose's greeting. "Blackwood? He might be the one Nathan mentioned of before," Caden thought as the memories of his Pokemon Contests back in Sinnoh began to resurface. "Nice to meet you, Rose" he smiled as a gust of wind blew in between the two trainers.

"Let's go, Hydreigon!" Rose lobbed the Luxury Ball into the air. It opened up and released a massive amount of white light. The light swirled around a focal point and morphed into the shape of a massive three-headed dragon. The light exploded outward and Hydreigon roared, her scales glittering briefly in the desert sunlight.

Caden backed up slightly. "That's a pretty big one - and those colors are quite interesting" Caden mused for a moment. "Glaceon, I'll need you for this one!" Caden threw the Poké ball into the air and it burst open, releasing the Fresh Snow Pokémon in a shower of light. "Glaaa~" Glaceon breathed, smiling.

Hydreigon didn't wait for anything remotely close to a command. Instead, she soared into the air and donned a blue aura. She streaked toward the ground, and blue dragon's skeleton of energy formed around her, amplifying her roar.

"Glaceon!" Caden swept his arm to the side. "Evade with Dig!" Glaceon didn't hesitate, diving into the ground quickly. Hydreigon turned skyward as she neared the ground, and as she ascended, the energy dissipated. She examined the ground, then roared. The ground started to rumble, and the sand split apart, releasing golden light from the fissures. The ground finally ceased its tremors, and Glaceon crawled out slowly, already showing signs of tiring.

"Hey, Hydreigon, what are you doing?! I haven't even ordered an attack yet! Calm down!" Rose was frantic. Hydreigon was going totally berserk, like it was trying to actually KILL Glaceon. That's when the doctor's words came back to Rose. You can't train her...She's too old and powerful...Whisked away his Wailord and Steelix...

"I wanted to measure Hydreigon's strength before acting, but I don't think that will be necessary anymore..." Caden murmered quietly before swinging his hand in a wide arc. "Glaceon, use Signal Tail!" Glaceon readied an Iron Tail, its tail glowing white briefly before taking on a metallic sheen. Glaceon ran forward and somersaulted through the air, firing a rainbow-hued beam from its mouth at it, turning it into a prism of energy. It slammed its tail into Hydreigon's head with full force, causing it to roar in agitation. As Glaceon touched back down on the sand, Caden could tell Hydreigon took hardly any damage from the attack. If anything, it was just angry. "That Hydreigon...it's quite strong. And by the looks of it, it's had eons more experience with battles than Glaceon has..." Caden thought as his smile wavered ever so slightly, briefly feeling his comfort zone slip out from under him before regaining his composure.

"Hydreigon! You can't act like you used to!" Rose struggled to think of a move Hydreigon could use that wouldn't be too damaging to Glaceon. "Use Double Hit!"

Hydreigon, however, was having none of it. She reared back and a blue-green orb of energy formed in her main mouth, and she bit down, causing light to stream out of the corners of her mouth. She opened her mouth and a wide beam of blue-green energy blasted out of her maw at Glaceon.

Caden was quick to respond, though. "Glaceon, use Mirror Tail!" Glaceon ran forward, its tail donning a metallic sheen once again. As this happened, Glaceon's fur became highly reflective and its body glowed pink. Glaceon somersaulted toward the oncoming Dragon Pulse and slammed its tail into the beam head-on, sending the attack spiraling back at Hydreigon. It blasted straight into the Brutal Pokémon's chest, sending it flying through the air before it slammed to the ground, skidding through the sand. Hydreigon slowly rose from the ground and roared defiantly, appearing to not even be close to defeat.

Suddenly, Hydreigon pitched forward and collapsed in the sand. Rose sighed, a hand on his chest. "Thank Arceus...She's still tired..." Rose took the opportunity to have Hydreigon return to her ball. "I'm sorry, Caden...I didn't realize she'd go berserk like that..." Rose hung his head in shame.

"No, don't worry about it," Caden smiled, brushing back his hair as he walked over to Glaceon. He knelt down, gently stroked Glaceon on the head, then picked it up instead of returning it to its Pokeball. Caden then proceeded to walk over to Rose. "I just hope Hydreigon's alright..." Caden remarked softly.

"Oh - Rose...are you by any chance Ms.Evelyn's son?" he asked, still stroking Glaceon down its back. "And how has she been doing lately?" he added.

Rose looked up as he walked with Caden. "Umm, she's good." He gave him a weird look. "Oh, right, you were a coordinator, too. She mentioned you a few times. She's trying to get contests introduced to Unova now."

Rose looked ahead and saw Terramean City glistening in the distance. "Hey, I'm gonna go on ahead to the Pokémon center—There's someone I have to meet up with, then a Gym to challenge." With that, Rose ran off.

• • •

Rose found Vasi as his Pokémon were being healed. "Hey, Vasi!" He sat down across from her. "I'm sorry I left so early...I had to get some training in with Hydreigon before the Gym. Speaking of which, I'm headed there now. You don't have to come if you have other plans, of course."

Rose stood as the nurse called his name. He went over and picked up his Poké balls, thanking the nurse. He looked over at Vasi and smiled before running for the Gym.

• • •

Rose looked around the Gym. The floor was sandy and covered in boulders of all sizes and shapes. The ceiling had numerous stalactites hanging down, giving the impression of some great beast's fanged maw.

A voice cut through Rose's amazement. "Hello, challenger!" A young man appeared from behind a pillar of rock in the corner of the room. He laughed at Rose's shocked expression before stepping onto the battlefield. "I'm sorry kid, but I've got a pretty busy schedule today when it comes to battling, the scoreboard is on the fritz, and the ref's out to lunch. Let's make it quick, 'kay?"

Rose nodded, sending out Togetic as Randy released Dugtrio in a flash of white light.

• • •

Rose wiped his sweaty brow and loosened his tie further. Darn it...Heracross and Togetic are both down, and Steelix is still going strong...I can't use Hydreigon...Who knows what'll happen...?

"What's the hold-up, kid? I know you got another Pokémon there! Don't tell me you're gonna quit!" Randy had a mocking tone in his voice.

That got Rose. "Fine! Hydreigon, let's go!" He lobbed the ball into the air. There was a burst of white light, and Hydreigon emerged, roaring. Her scales gleamed, then she snorted as she sized up Steelix. She proceeded to curl up on the ground and fall asleep.

Randy's expression went grave with recognition. He glared at Rose. "Steelix, Iron Tail, then follow with Iron Head."

The Iron Snake Pokémon swung its tail downward at Hydreigon, glowing with a metallic sheen. It smashed into Hydreigon with a force that launched Steelix forward a little, before following through with a forceful head butt. The Brutal Pokémon opened one eye before swatting Steelix away in annoyance with one of its mouthed appendages.

"Steelix, Dragon Tail!" Randy ordered. Steelix's tail glowed teal and it slammed it into Hydreigon's back.

"Hydreigon, do something! Fire Blast, Dragon Rush, anything!" Rose was desperate. He needed Hydreigon to move.

Finally, Hydreigon lifted itself off the ground and roared at Steelix, causing it to back up slightly. The Brutal Pokémon, annoyed now, opened its main mouth and formed a pitch-black sphere of energy surrounded by two dark rings. A wide black beam shot from the orb and slammed into Steelix, pushing it across the Gym floor. Hydreigon immediately followed up her Dark Pulse with a triple Flamethrower, fire spewing from all three of her mouths and blasting Steelix with heat so intense the sand around it melted to its body, trapping it. Finally, the Dragon-type put her arms together, and a blue sphere of energy formed between the two mouths. The orb grew larger, and a white ring surrounded it. Hydreigon launched the Focus Blast at the injured and immobilized Steelix, creating a massive explosion that rocked the gym and blasted Steelix into the wall next to Randy.

The Gym Leader returned Steelix to its ball before walking across the Gym floor to hand Rose his badge. "That Hydreigon...I'm going to pretend it isn't what I thought it was." Randy glared at Rose once more before walking away.

Rose returned Hydreigon to her ball and sighed. "I don't know if you're worth the trouble or not, girl..."

{MEANWHILE}

Nathan and Staraptor touched down close to the Terramean terminus of the Levia Bridge. The elder Azure brother returned his Pokémon to its ball and started walking across the bridge. "Caden should be around here by now, if I'm right..."

"Contests in Unova? Sounds like a good plan - I hope she does well with that," Caden smiled. "Speaking of Unova - I wonder if I should go there for the next league season? Well, I suppose I have to worry about Cygrus first before any of that," he thought, turning back to Rose.

However, before Caden knew it, Rose had run off before Caden was able to properly respond. Caden shrugged and continued to roam in the desert. A while after Rose was long gone, Caden took out his Pokeball and returned Glaceon to his Pokeball. He then made his way back to Terramean City where he stopped by the Pokemon Center to heal Glaceon. He sat in the waiting room momentarily before he was called up to retrieve his Pokemon. He placed his Pokeballs in his bag, then walked out of the Pokemon Center, aiming to go towards the Levia Bridge.

~ ~ ~

Before long, Caden had reached Levia Bridge. He quickly ran up to the side to check the view - what he saw was the boundless ocean, the waves gently streaming underneath. He jerked his head and saw a small mass of land, containing what looked to be a volcano. "That must be my destination, Flamvius Town," he thought, suddenly reminding himself of his upcoming meeting with Nathan.

He tapped his Xtransceiver and made a call to Nathan. "Hey, bro. Are you at the Flamvius side of Levia Bridge yet? I'll be heading there now; I just got on from the Terramean side - hopefully it won't take too long" Caden remarked. "Oh, you did bring Milotic with you, didn't you?" he continued, smiling.

• • •

"So, Judas - have you got any plans for the rest of today?" Rectus asked, casually as he hurled Salamence's Pokeball into the air. A burst of light emerged from the ball, cloaking the silhouette of the large, dragon Pokemon. "As for me, I've got more investigating to do - let me know if you find out anything more involving Draconius," Rectus stated before jumping onto Salamence's back.

As the sandstorm continued to rage on, the boys realised that they made the right decision putting on their GO-GOGGLES. The only problem with the fierce sandstorm was that visability was very low which meant Silver and Alex did not know where they were going, whether they were heading in the right direction or not.

Half an hour had passed, the sandstorm got rougher and it seemed as if the boys were getting nowhere, Alex stopped dead in his tracks and wondered when they'd get out of the desert. "Why did the sandstorm had to be this rough?" It wasn't long before Silver was fearing that he had been separated from Alex and tried to backtrack to look for him. "Hey Alex, where are you?" Unfortunately since the visability was very low, Silver was not looking where he was going and he tripped over a large stone and fell down the nearby hole, followed by a feint "Ow!"

When he regained consciousness, Silver took off his GO-GOGGLES and looked at his surroundings to figure out where he was "At least I know where I'm going." He looked at the map programmed in his pokenav and found that he was in the Sand Citadel and looking above where he fell, he sent out his Staravia, put the GO-GOGGLES on him and wrapped some rope around his legs. "Ok Staravia, I want you to find Alex and when you do, get him to follow the rope to my location ok?" Staravia nodded as it left the Citadel, headed towards the desert.

Meanwhile Alex was still trekking through the desert, wondering where the feint 'Ow.' had come from and it before he knew it Staravia had located him. "Staravia! Silver must've sent him to find me." He then turned his attention to the rope around Staravia's leg. "Oh, you want me to follow the rope to where Silver is?" Staravia gave a resounding nod. "Good idea my friend, why didn't we think of this in the beginning." Despite the visability problems Alex was able to traverse the desert without any problems and reached the Sand Citadel safely.

"There you are Alex!" Silver said in relief as he removed the rope and GO-GOGGLES from Staravia, returning him to the pokeball. "I was worried, that you'd have gotten ahead of me Silver. So this is the Sand Citadel, correct?" "Sure is, I think we should explore this place whilst the sandstorm subsides, and maybe we'll find some rare ground-type pokemon."

...

Walking through the ruins of the Sand Citadel, Silver and Alex were taking in the history of the place seeing as it was a better use of their time than trying to traverse the desert in the rough sandstorm. Alex noticed the wall crumbling and got out his pokeball to see if it was a wild pokemon. The sweat rolled down his face as he waited to see what was going to come out on the other side which turned out to be a Trapinch. "Now that is a rare find." Silver said on the sidelines as he let Alex capture it.

"Corphish, come on out and use Crabhammer!" Corphish emerged from his pokeball, its claw glowed and prepared to strike the wild Trapinch before it was able to get away by digging underground. "Now, go and use Bubblebeam!" Corphish got in its battle stance, opened his claws and a ton of blue bubbles were fired and struck Trapinch with immense force causing it to rock its head back and forth. "Go pokeball!" Three shakes from the pokeball later, Trapinch was caught.

...

After a couple of hours of walking through the various chambers of the Sand Citadel and taking in what the ruins had to offer, Silver and Alex had reached one of the exits, and as they prepared to put on their GO-GOGGLES, the sandstorm looked to have subsided and the visability was better. "Now we know where we're going." Alex said as he noticed the sight of buildings in the distance. "That must be Terramean City. Good I could use a rest before the next gym battle." Silver replied as they turned to each other and prepared to race towards Terramean City.

Pokemon OST - Team Aqua/Magma Battle Theme, as Remixed by REGIROCK

"This year, Chandelure!" Leon called out. This in turn caused the Chandelure to panic slightly and start firing a Flamethrower. But somehow... just somehow, Lucario had been expecting that the whole time, and dodged accordingly. It then went off to try and fight off Chandelure, which... wasn't part of Stellar's plan.

"Great, now I need a new plan of attack," muttered Stellar, as she lazily tossed a second Pokeball in the air, "Magnezone, you're up,"

The Magnet Area Pokemon had burst out of its Pokeball, whilst Leon, trying to regain control of the situation, sent in his Breloom, before turning to the other grunts.

"You guys can help too, y'know!" Leon barked, before responding to Moira's radio message, "And you just shut up and do your own job. I'm not in the mood."

With that, he killed the communication between the two so he could focus on getting things under control. Leon himself was focusing on Magnezone, commanding both Chandelure and Breloom at the same time, whilst each of the grunts sent their own Mightyena all in on Lucario. Unfortunately for them, but surprisingly one way or another, the latter battle wasn't going well at all; Lucario had already quickly swept through half of the Mightyena with Close Combat.

"Good job, Lucario," Stellar said in a complementing tone, before turning her attention to Magnezone and Skarmory,  "Alright; Magnezone, I need you to use Magnet Pull on that chopper before it tries anything, and Skarmory, get ready to defend it from those two Pokemon,"

The two Pokemon nodded in acknowledgement, and set off to do their set tasks.

“Oh, it’s fine I didn’t have all that much planned for today anyway, I have to go catch a third Pokemon anyway for my Gym Battle I’ll catch you later. Good luck with your battle though.” Vasi and Rose parted ways at the Pokemon Center, while he headed to the Gym Vasi set out to the Alluvium Dessert to find a third Pokemon for the Gym Battle.

Vasi wandered for a while not finding any Pokemon, it seemed that even the desert Pokemon wanted to stay out of the midday heat. Wanting to get out of the sun Vasi found herself a cave, and decided she would nestle in there until the sun went lower in the sky, and then make her way out, but by then it might be too late to catch something anyways. Well maybe there would be Pokemon in here. Going deeper into the cave Vasi soon came upon a small underground lake, where a Lunatone and Solrock floated on the water. The two Pokemon turned towards her, and then turned away not deeming her worth their attention.

“Hey they could be useful in the Gym Battle! Go, Venomoth!” Vasi yelled throwing its Pokeball in the air, and the purple and grey moth Pokemon appeared.

~~~
Lunatone shook disoriented from Venomoth’s Energy Ball, “Venomoth, Signal Beam! That should finish it off!” Vasi yelled, while she had been battling Lunatone Solrock had run off, but Vasi was more than happy to just capture Lunatone. Venomoth pelted the Moon Pokemon with the beam of light, and Lunatone collapsed to the ground. Vasi threw a Pokeball at the fallen Pokemon, and it shook once… twice… three times, and then a click was heard from the Pokeball.
~~~

Vasi entered the Gym later that day her Pokemon all healed, and quite confident that this battle would go well for her. The Gym Leader, Randy had been out all day, but he had returned just now, and Vasi was ready for battle.

“The battle between the challenger, Vasi, and the Gym Leader, Randy, will now begin!” The referee called. Vasi threw out her Venomoth, and Randy threw out his Dugtrio, “Venomoth, Psychic!”

~~~
The battle against Randy seemed to be going smoothly, his Steelix was on its last legs, while her Lunatone, though quite beat-up, was just getting its second wind. Vasi could tell the Gym Leader was distracted he kept looking off into the distance, as though something was bothering him, he seemed surprised to see Vasi’s attacks, and he was hardly excited, but monotone when calling out attacks. “Lunatone, Ice Beam, then Rock Slide!” Lunatone fired the beam of frozen energy from the spike on its body, and froze Steelix’s midsection, then using its psychic power willed rocks on the ceiling to become loose and crash down on Steelix causing it ice to explode and pelt Steelix with shards of ice, knocking the Pokemon out.
Randy walked the length of the field, and held out her Gym Badge, “Here’s your badge, congratulations. I’m sorry if you’ll excuse me I have to go now, it was nice battling you.”
“Are you okay, you seemed kind of distracted during our battle?” Vasi asked concerned.
“I said I have to leave, now you have your Gym Badge, please leave,” Randy said fixing her with a cold glare. The hostility quite evident Vasi left the Gym hastily, and returned the Pokemon Center to find Rose and heal her Pokemon.
-----
“Well I never!” Moira yelled as Leon cut off the communications quite rudely. She would have to worry about that later, because at that point the helicopter lurched towards the ground, seemingly pulled against its will. Check the hatch door, she found a Magnazone seemed to be using its power to pull the helicopter down, “Oh hell no! This is expensive Draconius equipment and she thinks she can just blow it all to hell!? What kind of society do we live in nowadays. Gardevior fire Will-o-Wisps  at that thing, get it away from my helicopter! Dragonite, take down that Skarmory, mommy’s having a bad day.” From inside the helicopter Gardevoir threw the Will-o-Wisps, though due to the cramped space it could only throw one at a time. Meanwhile Dragonite charged Skarmory with an Outrage attack.
Inside the helicopter Moira retrieved the thumb drive, which had finished downloading, and proceeded to the control console for the device keeping Dialga’s Time powers suppressed. Typing at the console she activated a function on the device, causing electric field to generate around Dialga shocking the Time Pokemon as well.
Rose shook his head after he exited the Pokémon Center following Vasi's Gym victory.  "Sorry about that...Randy saw my Hydreigon, and well...He reacted much like most people have when they saw her—He hated her."  Rose shook his head once more and tightened his tie.  "Sorry.  Anyway, that was a great battle!  I'm sorry I couldn't be there for when you caught Lunatone; it must've been a pretty difficult catch with that kind of power."  Rose smiled, patting Vasi's back lightly.
As they walked toward the Levia Bridge, which they would have to cross in order to reach their next destination, Rose saw a familiar sight near the stairs that led to the bridge itself.  "Hey, that's Caden.  I suppose we're doing this right then, if we're on pace with a Sinnoh Champion."  Rose smiled once more.
{MEANWHILE...}
Nathan smiled as he walked along the Levia Bridge.  He tapped at his half-broken Xtransceiver and answered Caden's call.  "Hey, bro.  I'll do you one better than that—Look up."  Nathan ended the call as he walked up to the younger Azure brother.  He smiled warmly at his kid brother before tousling his hair.  "'Sup, Champ?  I take it you've got two badges now, eh?  Good on ya!"  He laughed heartily.  "I'm sorry, but I don't have Milotic with me.  That beautiful beast is waitin' for ya once we get to Flamvius.  However..."  Nathan dug into his pocket and pulled out a Heavy Ball.  "I did bring that old Carracosta from my little stint in Unova when I thought about entering the PWT, if you want him.  I've been thinking about releasing him, since I never use him."
There was a sudden noise behind Nathan as someone touched down on the bridge behind him.
{A WHILE AGO...}
Judas pulled out Zangoose's Quick Ball and returned the Cat Ferret Pokémon to it in a flash of red light.  With his other hand, he tossed a Premier Ball out the window and it burst open and released a torrent of red light, releasing a massive eagle-like Pokémon with glittering blue feathers.  Braviary let loose a noise that was halfway between a caw and a shriek.  "I'll be visiting the Terramean area.  Randy sent in a report about battling a trainer who used that Queen of the Desert the locals always drone on about."  Judas made a bored circling gesture with his hand to illustrate his boredom.  "You know, that giant green Hydreigon that they say is gonna swallow the sun?"
Judas hopped onto Braviary's back.  In actuality, he cared little about a shiny Hydreigon.  What DID matter, however, was the fact that Caden Azure had just defeated the Terramean Gym and was now en route to Flamvius, and there was little doubt Nathan would be with him.  Either way, Judas could bring his plans much closer to fruition.
{NOW...}
Judas grinned devilishly as he touched down on the Levia Bridge, returning Braviary to his ball.  "My my, what have we here?  The famous Azure brothers together in one place!"  Judas flipped his hair out of his face with a gentle flick of the wrist.  "Now, do you think I could trouble either of you to a battle?  Preferably..."  Judas weighed his options carefully, attempting to make a decision on which Champion to crush first.  "...Caden?"
Reaching Terramean City, Silver and Alex headed straight for the pokemon center as they needed to get some food in their bodies, plus Alex wanted to heal Corphish and Trapinch.
Entering the pokemon center, one of the Terramean locals who had also just entered the pokemon center approached the boys and asked them. "Did you really brave the rough sandstorms of Alluvium Desert?" he said with an impressed look on his face. "Yeah, with our GO-GOGGLES it was easier to get through the desert than if we didn't have them on." Alex replied.
The boys handed their pokemon to a smiling Nurse Joy and while they waited for their pokemon to get healed, Alex went to get some food to settle their rumbling bellies. Naturally as Alex returned with burgers and fries from the cafeteria, the treatment was completed and the boys got their pokemon 1 by 1 so that someone was keeping an eye on the food.
...
Alex:
Terramean Gym, the exterior of which looked like the outside of a cave with a pokeball symbol on top. Alex entered the gym with the intention of battling the gym leader first. Upon entry the lights in the dimly lit cavern lit up and Alex walked towards the attendant showing his ID and followed the attendant to the main arena.
The arena looked like a rocky clearing with 3 smooth rocks surrounding the battlefield where the challenger, the gym leader and the referee stands on respectively. A tall man carrying a shovel introduced himself to Alex. "Welcome challenger, I am Randy, Terramean's gym leader." Alex and Randy stood on their stone plinths ready to begin their match, but not before Randy placed his 3 pokeballs on the ground. "The Gym Battle between Randy the gym leader and Alex the challenger will now begin. Each trainer will use 3 pokemon and the battle will be over when all 3 pokemon on either side are unable to continue. In addition only the challenger may substitute pokemon. Now, battle begin!" As the referee lowered his flags, a LED scoreboard lit up.
Randy raised his shovel like a golf club and whacked his first pokeball, revealing a Dugtrio. "Go Corphish!" As both pokemon were revealed to their trainers, Dugtrio's and Corphish's portraits lit up on the scoreboard.
~#~#~
"Sandslash, Slash attack!" Randy commanded as the porcupine pokemon slashed the acorn pokemon back a couple of metres. This was all part of Alex's plan as Seedot ran towards Sandslash as fast it could, even spinning to gain speed in order to get close enough to its opponent. "Now, unleash your Bide attack!" Seedot glowed white and unleashed its huge power towards the opposing Sandslash, sending it flying across the battlefield and as it landed, it was unable to battle. "Sandslash is unable to battle Seedot--" Just before the referee finished the sentence, Seedot started glowing blue and changing shape and as the blue glow subsided, Seedot had evolved into Nuzleaf. Seedot's portrait on the scoreboard changed into a portrait of Nuzleaf. Now Randy was down to his final pokemon.
'Whack!' He whacked his final pokeball accurately to reveal a Steelix. "Steelix, use Iron Tail." "Nuzleaf, Fake Out attack!" Before Steelix could strike with Iron Tail, Nuzleaf jumped up and clap his hands on Steelix's face, only doing minor damage, but enough to stop Steelix from doing anything. "Iron Tail again!" Randy called out in frustration, Nuzleaf tried to get away but it was not fast enough and was struck by the immense power of Iron Tail. "Nuzleaf is unable to battle, Steelix wins."
~#~#~
Randy was impressed that the tiny Cyndaquil has been able to stand up to the large opponent, but with pokemon starting to reach their limit, he knew he had to finish the battle quickly, this was evident within Alex's facial expressions as well. "Steelix, finish it with Iron Head!" Randy commanded as the iron snake pokemon charged as its target. "Cyndaquil, use Fire Blast!" In retaliation, Cyndaquil fired a powerful person shaped flame that collided with Steelix's head, and whilst it looked like Steelix's Iron Head was pushing back the flames, Cyndaquil gave more power and the flames were too much for Steelix to handle.
"Steelix is unable to battle, Cyndaquil wins and so the victor is Alex the challenger." Steelix's face on the scoreboard went black and Alex's portrait grew bigger with winner written along the bottom. Randy walked up towards Alex and presented him with the Tunnel Badge.
... The Next Day ...
Silver:
Waking up with Alex nowhere to be found, Silver muttered to himself. "Alex better have not gotten ahead of me after getting his gym badge." Thus Silver started heading towards the Terramean Gym.
After showing the attendant his ID, Silver followed the attendant to the arena where he was greeted by the gym leader Randy who had his 3 pokeballs on the floor. "Welcome challenger, I am Randy, the gym leader of Terramean." Looking at the surroundings, Silver prepared the first pokemon as the referee stepped forward to begin the battle. "The Gym Battle between Randy the gym leader and Silver the challenger will now begin. Each trainer will use 3 pokemon and the battle will be over when all 3 pokemon on either side are unable to continue. In addition only the challenger may substitute pokemon. Now, battle begin!" As the referee lowered his flags, a LED scoreboard lit up.
~#~#~
With the scores tied 2 to 2, Silver and Randy were down to their final 2 pokemon; Totodile and Steelix. "You're a gutsy trainer battling me with unevolved pokemon, I battled a trainer just yesterday with a powerful Cyndaquil." Randy exclaimed, but he knew that Silver was his opponent so he couldn't be impressed by his spunk. "Steelix, use Stone Edge!" Sharp pointed stones surrounded Steelix and fired towards Totodile who tried to dodge by dancing around, but ultimately failed as the stones knocked Totodile back a few inches.
...
"Totodile, Hydro Pump!" "Steelix, Iron Tail!" "Totodile, stay focused and dodge." As Totodile prepared to fire its Hydro Pump at Steelix, the opposing pokemon tried to stop the attack by striking it with an Iron Tail, but using initiative, Totodile fired its water attack at Steelix's tail, knocking it away so that Totodile can strike again with one final Hydro Pump, the momentum from such an attack knocked Steelix onto the ground next to Randy's stone.
"Steelix is unable to battle, Totodile wins and so the victor is Silver the challenger." Steelix's face on the scoreboard went black and Silver's portrait grew bigger with winner written along the bottom. Randy walked up towards Silver and presented him with the Tunnel Badge. Silver accepted his badge and went back to the pokemon center to heal his pokemon and catch up with Alex.
Caden looked up on command and was mildly surprised when Nathan walked up to him. "Hey Nate, good to see ya; you're doing well, I hope?" he smiled, almost in a sheepish manner. "Oh yeah, that Carracosta - well...I wouldn't want you to release him, so yeah, I'll take him for now," Caden responded, accepting the Heavy Ball containing the turtle Pokemon before pocketing it. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew down on the two and Caden felt someone approaching from behind. Caden swung around, and at the sight of the man approaching them, Caden stepped back slowly, accidentally leaning into Nathan.
"My my, what have we here?  The famous Azure brothers together in one place!"
"Judas Renict...of the Cygrus Elite Four..." Caden thought nervously, taking a breath to maintain his composure as the man slowly advanced towards them. "Nate...do you know him? And what's he doing here?" he asked Nathan quietly, confused.
"Now, do you think I could trouble either of you to a battle? Preferably...Caden?"
Caden stood momentarily stunned at the request, but slowly stepped forward and nodded, as if by instinct. "That's fine..." he declared softly. With that, Caden stepped back to make room for a battlefield. Before long, many people who were walking by had stopped to crowd around the two battlers, hoping to get a glimpse of what was about to come down.
Caden briefly clossed his eyes before taking another breath. He reached into his shoulder bag and removed a Pokeball from inside. "I know that you just evolved recently, Glaceon...and I don't know if you'll be able to handle an opponent like him...but just do your best," Caden thought, holding up the Pokeball before hurling it high up into the air. The red and white-colored sphere opened, a burst of bright blue light emerging from it. The light streamed down to the ground before dissipating, revealing the beautiful, blue-colored Fresh Snow Pokemon. "Glaa~ Glaa-ceoonn~" it called, lifting its head.
Judas smirked, a spark of passion in his eye. He looked around, noting the large crowd amassing around them at the foot of the bridge. "Good! A good sport and an even better crowd! I just love a good show. As a fellow Coordinator, wouldn't you agree, Caden Azure?" Without waiting for a response, Judas reached into his pocket and pulled out an Ultra Ball. Judas tossed it into the air, and golden light poured out. The light swirled around a focal point before expanding and bursting in a shower of sparks. The sparks settled to the ground and winked out as the massive form of a Snorlax lumbered toward Glaceon. "Alright Snorlax, let us begin this match with Eruption!" Judas flicked his wrist, winking at the crowd. As the crowd murmured about Snorlax knowing Eruption, the Sleeping Pokémon's fist became cloaked in flames, and slammed it into the ground. The ground shook with the force of an Earthquake, and it turned bright red. A red line burned toward Glaceon before the ground split open, a big blast of flame shooting upward at the Fresh Snow Pokémon, bits of rock flying through the air with it. "Molto bené! Now, Snorlax, follow up with WildBolt!" Snorlax became cloaked in golden electricity and it charged at Glaceon. Once it got close, it spun around, and the electricity surrounding it arced off in a massive thunderbolt, streaking toward the Eeveelution. {MEANWHILE} Nathan Azure watched intently as his brother battled the Elite Four member. I hope Caden realizes what he's up against...The Cygrus Elite Four are second to only maybe their Unova counterparts... As he silently cheered Caden on, he noticed that Judas seemed odd. There was something about his eyes...It looked as though there were bolts of malevolent electricity flashing behind them, in unison with Snorlax's intense assault... {MEANWHILE} Rose managed to get close to the front of the crowd, so he got to see all of the action between Glaceon and Snorlax up close. "Wow...Look at that! Who're you rooting for, Vasi? My money's on Caden."
Caden's eyes widened as he watched as the fissure approaching Glaceon expand. "Then there's no way to dodge..." Caden thought, gritting his teeth. "Glaceon, Substitute!" Caden commanded, sliding two fingers to the right. The Fresh Snow Pokemon split into two, with only the fake having been hit by the devastating burst of fire. However, Glaceon wasn't out in the clear yet - as it reappeared several feet away, it saw that Snorlax was headed right for it. "Glaceon, use Charm to minimize the damage!" Caden called quickly, prompting Glaceon to shoot a barrage of hearts at the charging Snorlax before it was hit. Following the collision, Glaceon leapt backwards, electricity crackling through its fur.
"That's already too much damage...I can't let Glaceon take any more..." Caden thought, his eyes narrowing. "Glaceon! Signal Pulse!" he declared as Glaceon began charging a small blue orb. It fired the orb at Snorlax before proceeding to launch a beam of green and pink energy at it. The two attacks collided, resulting in a shower of different colors, which came pelting down upon the majority of the battlefield.
"Now combine that with Hyper Voice!" Caden followed immediately as Glaceon leapt into the air. It raised its head upwards, then came out with a giant howl, which created a shockwave which amplified the power and speed of its previous attack. Each shard of energy that rained down upon Snorlax's vicinity became encloaked with a harsh, white light.
"Snorlax, weather the blow with some assistance from Amnesia!" Judas called out, snapping his fingers impatiently. Snorlax started to glow with a pink aura as it concentrated intensely, before the light dissipated and Snorlax relaxed, a dull look on his face. The shower still damaged him pretty significantly, however. Judas growled. "Snorlax! End this with Giga Punch!"
Snorlax's fist glowed blue as it impossibly leapt into the air. It became cloaked in purple and white energy as it streaked toward Glaceon. The Sleeping Pokémon stretched out its fist, the energy from the Giga Impact swirling around it and forming a large glowing sphere of energy around its fist.
"We end this battle with one last clash of moves, Caden Azure! How will you and your Glaceon attempt to counter this raw power? With grace and style? With strategy? I want to see your potential!"
{MEANWHILE}
Nathan knew something was off. Judas's voice was odd...It sounded tinny and hollow, as if he wasn't speaking. At first, he dismissed it as his ears playing tricks on him, but it quickly became apparent that this was the case.
{MEANWHILE}
Rose took a step back. The battle was getting intense. Perhaps a little TOO intense. "Stand back, Vasi..." Rose placed his hand on top of Vasi's chest to try and push her back, attempting to shield her from the intense clash of moves that was about to follow.
"I hope this will be enough..." Caden thought as he lifted his arm. "Glaceon, counter with all you have! Use Hyper Pulse now!" Caden called as Glaceon leapt into the air once more. Glaceon lifted its head, then fired off five orbs of blue energy in a pentagon formation - immediately following this, it released a glowing, pink blast of intense energy at the charging Snorlax, a Hyper Beam attack which completely encased the multiple Water Pulses - the blue energy from each Water Pulse began spiraling through the attack, which caused the stream of multi-colored energy to spring wildly.
The two amazing attacks collided with one another, with each Pokemon giving all that they had, pushing past their limits to keep their attacks intact. There was a massive shockwave caused by the collision which resonated throughout the area, causing Caden to wince and cover his face with his elbow. Inevitably, when the two attacks finally dissipated, there was a large explosion, causing smoke to envelop the entirety of the battlefield.
Eventually, the smoke finally cleared - Caden hurriedly glanced up to check the result of the attack. Both Pokemon lay face-down, badly injured from the recoil of the massive burst of energy. Caden sighed and walked over to Glaceon, picking it up. The spectators, however, let out a big cheer and began applauding.
