Darklords

Recommended Posts

It was my favorite archetype..., but then Gishkis happened.

Still, it holds a special place in my heart, because I really love Midori in the GX manga, and for being one of the first 3 decks I ever made (with Nurse Burn and Citadel Northwemko). Superbia and Desire are in my top 10 of favorite cards ever.

Darklords will always be favorite. Most likely. I run Asmodeus and Zerato in my chaos fairy/agent deck currently. I wanted to use them all so badly, but they just weren't viable. I'd really like Konami to bring them back, though I highly doubt they ever will. There aren't many DARK fairies, after all (oh the wonderful things I could do if that Nordic Tuner could be used for the Synchro Summon of ANY monster).

It kind of upsets me, because Fabled monsters (LIGHT Fiends) got so many, and some of them work very well with Dark Worlds (DARK Fiends). Why can't we have more Darklords (DARK Fairies) to work with Agents (LIGHT Fairies)? I'd personally love a format which both decks are at least tier 2.

To answer the original question, though, Superbia cannot Special Summon Asmodeus or Desire. Asmodeus's effect makes him good banish fodder for Allure if you're going for an OTK deck. That deck was so much fun when One Day of Peace was at three...

Well, thanks for the answers, a friend suggested Superbia's effect maybe be a loophole since it summons faires, but yea, they are really good cards, The Darklords are one of the main strategies of my darkness deck, which the biggest one is having monsters in the graveyard, though having Superbia special summon Edeh Arae or Zerato is pretty good

I thought I could tech Darklord Zerato with what some casual deck I made offered, until I saw "with different names" =(

I forget that line every now and then.

Darklords are kewl. Good ATK, their own Raigeki, their own revival, their own Valhalla (which IS Valhalla), and other toys they can use here and there.

They are slow, but fun.
