Thaila nearly jumped out of her skin when the alarm blared through Titan's Tower. She was still slightly on edge with her encounter with Mimic and hadn't quite settled down yet. There was something about the way he spoke that made Thaila think that he might just know what she was going through. It took a moment for Thaila to react, but after a few seconds she was following the other Titans to the crime scene. She looked around noticing that Mimic wasn't with them.

Commoda mihi cornu. Thaila muttered under her breath. A pink cloud appeared before, hovering a foot off the ground. Stepping carefully onto the seemingly intangible object, Thaila let out a sigh of relief that she didn't fall through it. She had only used this spell a few times before, and riding on a cloud always made her stomach feel nauseous. Willing the cloud to take to the skies, Thaila followed the other Titans in the air, actually overtaking a few of them. Flying into the city, she instantly found the battle field.

A swarm of robotic bees buzzed around the streets of Janus City, destroying everything in their sight. A particular scene caught her eye. A mother ran down the sidewalk, cradling her crying baby in her arms. Behind her was a drone, eager to attack. Taking a deep breath, Thaila made a decision. Cloak flapping in the wind, she willed the cloud to rocket towards the bee. Just as she was a few feet from the drone, it noticed her and began to change directions. It was now Thaila's problem. No, it was Circe's problem.

Steadying herself, Thaila readied herself to cast a spell. As the drone drew nearer she uttered the chant. Emitte ventis notoria. A twister of pink energy erupted out of Thaila's book, smashing into the drone and too Thaila's surprise ripping it apart. Thaila stood there in shock. She had actually done it. Realizing she still had a job to do, Thaila looked towards the mother, who had stopped running, realizing that she and her child were safe for the time being. Thaila nodded at them and then flew off to join the rest of the battle, mana flying from her spellbook.

Then she heard the voice. Mimic's voice. She looked around to find him, but in her haste actually toppled into Mach Force who was rocketing through the air, smashing drones left and right. "Sorry." Thaila squeaked, heat rising in her cheeks.

When he heard the alarm and Long Shadow's command for action Peter rushed off to his room. He hadn't expected them to have a mission already. He took an awful long time in his room changing into the Battle Suit, he wasn't used to it yet and the Battle Suit refused to respond to him when he tried to get it to auto-fit onto him. The suit was also a little big and somewhat awkward on him. Finally, Portal yanked open the window and flew off to join his new teammates in the battle.

Upon arrival at the lake, Portal was immediately blasted by water... from someone on his own side! A stream of water had risen out of the water, seemingly being controlled by the blonde girl who reminded him slightly of a fish. He glanced around and saw that Gray had gone into some frenzy, swatting drones left and right, Mach Force gave some cocky announcement and flew off and the girl with glasses seemed to be casting magical spells from her spellbook.

"Cool!" Portal called out to her and he turned to punch some drones for himself.

Portal took a pause when the speakers came on with an announcement. Peter recognized the voice to be one of the other team members. It told them that they had to work together and looking around some more, he realized that it would be quite essential. There seemed to be no end to the drones and knocking them was unproductive.

Out of all of them, Peter guessed that Mach Force would have the most firepower, the biggest chance out of all of them to actually do something to the guy who walked around controlling them, after all, with a name like "Mach Force" he's got to be able to do something, right? Portal flew off to get him.

"Yo! Mach Force!" he shouted out, speeding as fast as he could to get to the young hero. An annoying drone got in his way and Portal gave it a hefty punch with his reinforced gauntlet. Finally he reached him. The hero had destroyed quite a bit of them, but Portal couldn't see how much of a difference it made. "We gotta take the main guy out. I bet if we took him out, these bug things will just fall down dead! Do you think you could take that guy head on if you could reach him?"

GM Post: Cyber Drones

The white robed man continued to walk purposefully through Janus City, laughing as his drones terrorized the city. That's when he felt the small pain in his head, the signal to let him know that one of his drones had been destroyed. He passed the feeling off. He was bound to lose at least one drone, it was no matter. But then another fell. And another. And another. The man's eyes grew wide with panic. What was happening? That's when he saw them. Teenagers? They seemed to be attacking the drones. He had been too caught up in his fun to notice before, but sure enough there they were.

"They send teenagers to fight me? The audacity. I, Swarm, will squash these minor annoyances!" The crown on the newly introduced, Swarm's head, began to glow and the drones turned away from their mindless destruction and now the Titans really did have something to worry about. The entire swarm was on them now.

---

Kowen smashed in the head of a drone that had been flying towards him. After reducing it to a dented piece of scrap metal, Kowen shook his hand in pain. Punching robots was not the best feeling in the world. Through the fog of the fight he noticed his other Titans, but it would seem that they were having a little difficulty. A cocky smile took over his face. Watch yourself. Jet warned. Kowen brushed off the comment. Before he could do anything else though, that girl ran into him. Tumbling out of the sky, he hit the pavement with a soft 'thud'. "Ouch!" Kowen shouted. The girl muttered an apology and Kowen waved it off. This really wasn't the time. "Don't worry about it."

He then caught sight of another Titan. Portal? "Yeah probably. He doesn't look so tough. But these drones just keep coming."

[spoiler=OOC]

Alright, a plan is coming together. Our enemy, Swarm, has finally noticed us and we have to finish things up. I'm counting on C4 to coordinate the attack so that Mach Force can have a clear path to Swarm.

"Swarm, that's his name?" Mimic commented as he chuckled. "Talk about generic." Then, he had noticed the change in pace, along with the path of the drones now headed for the others, and he can only hope that he can think up something before his fellow Titans are taken down one by one. He thought hard about this, but it seems as though he couldn't find a way to do this. Might I suggest something? asked P.R.A.I.S.E. "Act swiftly. Not much time before tragedy ensues." Kallen appears to be the Alpha Male, so the other Titans will have to clear a path for him to subdue the convict. Mimic was intrigued. "Go on." Because the swarm is now headed straight for them, have the others minus Portal and Mach Force lure the swarm away from the convict. Then, have Portal teleport Kallen towards Swarm and subdue him. "Huh. That sounds easier than I perceived it to be."

Mimic pressed the intercom once more and began to speak. "Okay, guys, you notice the swarm of drones coming after you now?" he asked. "Well, best to lead them far enough for Portal to teleport Kallen while flying towards the man in the white cloak. Then, he'll restrict the man so we can find out what's controlling that swarm. Got it? If not, then I'll just let you know step by step." He then looked towards the Titans on the ground. "Circe, Nami, Gray, lead the swarm away from the man controlling them. If any get too close, then smash away!" Hoping they got the message, and REALLY hoping that Swarm had not heard him, he waits and watches for the Titans' response, and to see if this plan will work out for this team. "Divide and conquer." And be sure to know each power to find the right chain reaction. "Very true P.R.A.I.S.E."

Thaila nodded to herself. The plan was simple and effective. As far as she could tell, everything would work smoothly. She just needed to do her part. Murmuring a short incantation the pink cloud of mana reappeared before and she once again took to the sky. Before she could gain much altitude though, a drone buzzed passed her, nearly causing a collision. Thaila let out a small scream as her balance faltered. Regaining her stability, Thaila looked at where the drone had come from and gasped. The entire swarm was after the Titans now. Turning on her heels...err...cloud, she rocketed off after the first drone. Catching up to it, she cast a spell, causing a fist to smash the robot to pieces. And now that she had put some distance between her and the swarm, it was time for her true colors to be shown.

Sitting cross legged on her cloud, Thaila opened her book and flipped through the pages. She knew there was a spell that could help the team. Something worth using. The pages stopped flipping, settling on a relatively short spell. But from the looks of it, it would do just the trick. Mater Natura, ligare. From forth the book erupted a storm of magical tendrils, ensnaring numerous drones in the large swarm. "You really shouldn't mess with me. I can be quite the witch." Circe said amusingly under her breath.

In his state of annoyance, due to not being able to hit much, Grey herd Mimic's voice. It told him to go and distract the swarm, which seemed to be much more organized than before. In fact they were targeting the titans that some were even getting near enough for gray to hit. Gray's annoyance was finally disappearing, finally the fight was brought to him. Too bad he needed to run a little, enough to leave an open space between the Swarm and... well the swarm. Gray knew what to do. He ran to a building and with his sharp claws began climbing his way up the 2 story building. Once on top he sucked in an enormous amount of air and let out an ear piercing howl. It was probably loud enough to be heard miles away.

With that many of the drones noticed him. Some of them rushed to Gray trying to take him out. Gray simply dodged them and gave them a good slash. Most of the time this was good enough to take one out. While on the roof he began to be pressured. He had not magic or any long range attack. All of his attacks were slashing and hitting with his hair. The drones formed a much smaller swarm around Gray, circling him. Gray began to panic and slash randomly, trying to keep them away. The drones still attacking began to give Gray a few cuts and bruises and he was helpless to do anything about it. He specializes in close-range one-on-one combat, not this.

Thaila continued to channel her power into the spell, ensnaring members of the swarm and then crushing them by smashing them into each other. It seemed to be effective, but the drones kept coming. There were too many for her to handle and Thaila had to cut the spell short. Riding a top her cloud, she desperately tried to outdistance the drones, leading them away from Portal and Mach Force. That's when the howl split the air. Within moments, most of the drones that had been following her, peeled off and began to head in a different direction. Thaila looked at their destination and gasped. Gray. That brave little idiot had attracted the attention of nearly the entire swarm.

A thought began to worm its way into Thaila's head. Should she do it? She had never done something so...well...heroic. Well if she was going to be a Titan, she needed to act like one. Willing her cloud to go as fast as it could, she rocketed towards Gray. Batting some drones a side with a magic spell, she pulled up in front of him. "Hop on!"

  • 2 weeks later...

This was a surprise even for Mimic. Circe has set aside her nervousness (Temporarily, most likely) to help her teammates. He then pressed the intercom and yelled out, "Yes! That's how you do it Circe! Don't stop. You're doing great!" He then released the button and laid back, feeling accomplished. He was making progress with her; a lot more than he assumed. It seems I have doubted your skills on persuasion, Master Mimic. Mimic smiled. "Thanks P.R.A.I.S.E. I'm glad I came up with you." And I'm glad you booted up my system for the first time. Mimic was feeling good for himself. First, he makes conversation with one of the least social members on the team. Then, he gives her advice about building confidence, sets up a strategy for the team, and actually made progress with Circe. This was a good first day. But, things might turn out bad in one false move. And by how things are looking, one simple mistake will have to lead to the Last Resort.

"Alright, Mach Force, let's finish this guy off." His body began to glow a bright aquamarine as he opened up one of his teleportation portals. Things needed to be ended quickly before things got out of hand. Before the plan get any farther in motion Portal noticed a drone that had left the rest of the swarm and was now heading for him. Forcing all of his concentration into his powers, he opened up a second portal just in time. The drone flew through it, instantly be teleported right in front of his mastermind, Swarm. The drone knocked him down, causing a lull in the swarm. "NOW MACH FORCE!" He yelled. Nodding, Kallen rocketed towards Portal, passing through the portal he had opened up.

A sense of vertigo overcame Kallen and then suddenly he was fly towards the still dazed Swarm. A fierce look entered his eyes, as he crashed into the mediocre villain. Keeping his eye on the villain's technological crown, he ripped it off of Swarm's head. As soon as the headgear had been removed there was a pause in the drones' movements and then dropped to the ground. Was it over?

Grey's random slashing was finally hitting a few bots, only because they were coming really close. This didn't mean much though, Gray was still losing the fight. He began to growl to try to intimidate the drones, hoping that they would at least give him some room. His wild side had began to appear, he was no longer thinking logically. By this time he was more a a wild wolf than a human. Something though, something snapped him out of it. A voice. Just two words, "Hop on."  They were so simple, but something about them. Grey looked to his side to see Thaila on her cloud.

Right before he could get on the drones stopped moving. Then, as suddenly as they stop, they fell to the ground. Grey looked around until he saw that Swarm on the floor, with Kallen not far from him holding the crown Swarm had. Grey smiled and gave another ear-piercing howl. Unlike last time though, this was out of enjoyment. They had completed their fist mission.
