Northern Sage
2 Level 5 monsters Once per turn, if an Xyz Monster you control would activate an effect bydetaching an Xyz Material(s), you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead of 1 of those Xyz Materials. It… retains its original translated name. Also, Ultra. Discuss.

~British Soul~
Best rank 5, hands down. That post reminds me of Darkplant's topic about this card.
Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
It would be three times as good if it didn't say once per turn, though even then you would be performing a 4-card combo that is quite underwhelming.
Resident Fascist
Number 19:don. OT: Terribly outclassed by actually good R5s like Volca, Tiras, Adreus and Zenmaioh. Hell Digvorzak is horrible and even that's better.
Toffee.
Aside from the fact it's effect is pretty original, shame it can't really do much on its own otherwise :/Number 19:don.
Agro
It lets Laggia negate 2 cards. And after that awful realization, and the even worse realization that this was as good as it was gonna get, everyone threw it in the trash.

If you can somehow managed to bring out this alongside Soldda and Dolkka, you've probably won the game. I'd make a deck around that but I don't know what Evols do. Jord200
Right up there with Gold Rat and Illumknight for worst Number.

evilfusion
It's bad, but it's not THAT bad. Funny. I consider this to be the worst Rank 5 in the game. Goldrat is worst Number, though. Illumiknight is just a waste of 3 Materials. If it was a 2 Material, it'd probably be decent or merely mediocre. To me, like every Rank 5 is promptly compared to Volcasaurus to judge playability, I also judge every Rank 5 to Freezadon. Fortunately, Problem Solving Card Text comes to the rescue and makes it clear exactly how the effect functions. The biggest issue with Number 19 is that if you're using a Deck that easily produces Rank 5s, why the hell are you running this in it instead of another copy of the Rank 5 you actually are likely to use its effect to support (like Volcasaurus). Maybe it's better if you run it alongside different Xyz, like this and a Big Eye or something. But if you're able to drop a Rank 5 alongside another Xyz, why exactly are you running this instead of a different Rank 5 that actually does something on its own? I guess at the very heart of the issue is that Number 19 is a PASSIVE monster. It doesn't do anything on its own but sit there as a mere 2000/2500, and it supports OTHER Xyz by using up its Overlays instead. This is rarely as beneficial as it sounds, and especially not as a Rank 5 which has the likes of Volcasaurus, Tiras, Adreus, Zenmaioh, Machu Mach, Leo Arms, Pleiades, etc to run instead, all of which have more destructive or control-based effects better suited to various scenarios. An effect like Freezadon's would be much better as a different Rank. But the Extra Deck space is slim, and unless you're running a Rank 5 Deck, you can't afford that many slots to something like this.
