cr47t
Yes I stole the picture from Benevolance like Sync Stealer did with Junk Warrior. Mainly because I don`t draw well on my own. When I thought of this idea, I thought of it as Avarice that works with any card, but then I thought "no, that would be too broken", so I set the limit to 2 or 1, and changed the amount of cards you could draw depending on how many you returned from the Grave. I hope that makes this card more balanced than an Avarice that works with any kind of card.
Aix
No. It's horribly broken, even worse than Pot of Greed, because it's a mindless +1 that also recycles your best cards like Monster Reborn, Dark Hole, Heavy Storm and etc.
AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
Returning 2 to draw 1 works as a nice mini-Avarice, although it's still pretty much Jar of Greed the Spell Card due to the absurd rate that monsters hit the Graveyard. Still, the slight Deck thickening is a nice balance to that, but I'd personally feel a bit safer if you returned 3 monsters to do so. Oh, and I didn't really notice you returned "cards" rather than just monsters. The recycling of your Spells and Traps doesn't usually cause much of a difference IMO, but to some people apparently it does. That should also be fixed. The return 1, draw 2, however, is virtually Pot of Greed. The returning part of Avarice is supposed to delay the speed of which you get to use the "Pot of Greed" part of its effect (as well as making it a bit harder to tap into cards in your Deck that you haven't gotten to yet). You have seemed to misunderstood that, and must've thought the "return to Deck" was not actually a slight drawback/requirement/un-good thingy. A lot of Decks out there like to have their monsters in the Graveyard nowadays since "SS-from-the-Grave" is a lot more common than "SS-from-the-Deck" and it fuels things such as Chaos Sorc and Hyperion. Thanks. 2. Depends on the Spell/Trap, IMO. 3. Uhhh... 4. I knew that before. I decided to add my own drawback by adding 1000 damage if you draw 2. Does that make it better, or should I do more/something else? No. It's horribly broken, even worse than Pot of Greed, because it's a mindless +1 that also recycles your best cards like Monster Reborn, Dark Hole, Heavy Storm and etc. Read what ABC said. AGATHODAIMON BANGTAIL COW
1000 points of damage, while it can add up and screw you over in the long run, is pretty negligible about all of the time. If you're looking for something harmful to yourself, it should focus more on card advantage (something like losing a card in your hand) or having what you can do held back (like how Duality prevents you from Special Summoning). Recycling S/Ts isn't really much to me since if you're lucky enough to draw Dark Hole and use it, then put it back in your Deck, you are still more than likely not going to be able to re-draw it again. However, things that can be searched (such as Toon Table of Contents or the Spellbooks) may prove to be a problem, especially in the form of the latter as Spellbooks have pretty absurd searching in the form of Judg(e?)ment Day. Aix
That doesn't change the fact that it's still a mindless +1. 1000 damage is barely anything. It's a lot worse than Avarice because Avarice requires that you sacrifice your Grave setup which many Decks rely upon, but Avarice is still a card that should be banned. It's wayyy too easy to get 1 card into the Graveyard for the mindless +1. You underestimate topdecking, it can happen that a player draws their recycled Monster Reborn, especially as you just helped them draw 2 cards. Also, Elemental Dragons and Spellbooks thin their Deck like crazy, so it'd be very likely for them to draw it. It's worse than Pot of Greed.
