Aix
So how many of you guys get a recommended amount of sleep? None of you? Yeah, didn't think so... Decided to post this because I'm just feeling sleepy and depressed for no reason, possibly cuz I got less sleep than I usually do for the past week or so (which is still less than recommended). Makο
I think we were just shot. Staying up 'till 2 on a practically daily basis really doesn't help, but I somehow scrape out the sleep I need.
The Hounds Of Anubis
I have a form of insomnia, so nothing close to what I should get on most days.
Gαr
During the school year, I try to get to bed at 11, but its usually 2, like Mako. During breaks, however, I go to bed at god knows when and sleep in to about 2 or 3. Because of that, I've become nocturnal, becoming active during the night and sleeping during the day. Legend Zero
>gets 8 hours of sleep a nightI feel sorry for you guys who can't/don't. Even staying up past 1 a.m. is horrible for me.
Cin
It's not about the amount of sleep you get it's the quality. So basically if your entering the right phases of sleep. Which is why a short nap maybe more refreshing than long sleep. My sleep is usually effected by stress and excitement. Took me two hours to get to sleep on Sunday because I was worried I wouldn't be up at 4am for work the next morning.
Desu the Blue Nerd
I think the amount of sleep I've gotten for the past few weeks typically amounts to maybe averaging about 5 1/2 hours of sleep per night. Typically I would try to at least sleep in during the weekends but I've been working fairly early both Saturday and Sunday during the past few weekends. It's obvious to say that I spend my first few hours of the day really tired and the rest just tired.
Nicο
After going to bed at 9 PM every night (AKA Sakurano Kurimu), I'm lucky if I fall asleep on time to get 7 hours, which is about usual though. Apparently I only need .5 more hours of sleep so I'm usually fine/just a little tired.
Kuri
I sleep around midnight then wake up at 6 on weekdays. On weekends I sleep around 2 then wake up around 9 because of my siblings already yelling. So I basically get not the recommended amount except I'm particularly close on weekends. Although I used to have to wake up at 5am since my old school was 3 hours away. EDIT: weekdays I have to do 50 vocab words for Spanish then right them 5 times each...."it's suppose to accelerate the class" she said...I still have a C. I normally just feel tired and lazy the rest of the day and not feeling like talking. I can however sleep in my Bio class for about 40 minutes if I'm lucky. Volcanism
Humans naturally have a 25 hour circadian cycle which involves 10 hours of sleep.
Fusion X. Denver
Funny timing with this topic: yesterday I was awake for about...39.5 hours, roughly. It's weird because after you stave off the exhaustion for so long, you just become kinda numb, but alert. But as soon as I got into bed, I was gone. It depends on the day for me, which ones have morning classes and which don't. Anywhere from 5/6-8/9 hours basically.
Cin
I'm usually 7/8 hours then on days off grab 3 hours in the middle of the day. (What else can I do for 3 hours whilst waiting to go back on the comp).
The Hounds Of Anubis
There are too many times I've been awake for 48-168 hours at a time to list. I seriously envy you people that sleep every night.
ListenToLife
I've been improving lately. Slowly getting off a bad caffeine addiction, so it's getting better. But even getting better for me accumulates to an average of about 4 hours a night, with the occasional 6-7 hours 'good day' every other week or so. Chronic insomnia, mixed with laziness and caffeine is not good for me, at all. I think I need to exercise more, because I went on a hiking trip once and every night of it I slept incredibly. Better than anyone else. And yet, I feel very little side effects, at least with my overall performance. I'm top of the year in school for Maths and the 3 sciences, been offered a £2000 + free laptop scholarship to stay on at my school, get straight A-A*s in almost every subject...it annoys the hell out of some people :/ I feel fine most of the time, and get along just as well as other people. No anxiety, paranoia, stress, etc that is often associated with it. In fact, I'm generally a rather chilled person compared to others I know. One of the only things I can think would be a bad side effect is some serious headaches, occasionally even migraines, which I wouldn't be able to think of another cause for. That, and horrendous bags under my eyes. But I'm hardly the most attractive guy ever so that doesn't make much of an impact.
Great Unclean One: VK
8-9 hours of sleep. I go to sleep to at either 3AM or 5AM and wake up at late noon.
Thar
I try to sleep a minimum of 6 hours. On average, I'd say around 7-8. The latest I've ever woken up was 4 PM, but that was after an all-nighter for a Skiing trip... and a Rockstar.
Northern Sage
Between 6-8 hours. Except during the weekends, because weekends and stuff. And yes, YCM. This is totally your fault.
